I joined the team. There's a big game every Sunday at 4pm for 1 hour. Keep driving alone Thepprasit soi 7 about 2km until you see the sports center on your right. Go further in until you see a group of people with floor ball sticks. No experience required. All welcome. All equipment provided.

Are there many songthaews on Thepprasit or will the taxi mafia force people to pay 30 baht as they do at north Pattaya's station?

No shortage of 10B bahtbuses along Thepprasit when the night market is on, but not many at other times. I expect that if this place does turn out to be a bus station there will soon be more bahtbuses around there to service it.

As for paying 30B at the other bus station, I get one out in the street for 10B just as I do everywhere else.

North Pattaya road does not have many songthaews coming from sukhumvit. I've been lucky/unlucky at various times.

Are they permanently closed, or just renovating?

I think perm because all the signage is down.

In the city, there are now a few on Sukhumvit, 1 on Thepprasit, 1 on north road, 1 on south road, 1 on Naklua road, and a few random pay as you go pumps. Can anyone confirm if they are market rates? Thank you.

Sorry to be gloomy but knowing Pattaya road history and with all the added traffic and it being a weekend, I fear a road fatality rate spike. The vineyard is quite a drive on a single lane and many drivers enjoy overtaking. Be careful out there but I predict the worst.

For as long as I can remember, I always saw a range of safes at Big C for under 1000 baht. Today, no more. Home Pro has a few but quite expensive. Tesco Lotus has none.

Papaya salad restaurant?

Laundry is expensive in Bkk compared to other cities. I live in a hotel. I hand/machine wash some items but the big stuff is the hotel's responsibility.

Not impressed by Gateway at all.

Much prefer Terminal 21, but only for the excellent food court on level 5.

Food court on the ground floor at Gateway is disappointing and no comparison.

Gateway is still new - but I honestly can't see it becoming popular and still think it will be quiet in another 1-2 years.

In the Gateway food court, there is a new stall (cash only, no coupon) that makes omelets. 3 eggs with 4 ingredient choices for 40 baht! I know it's simple but I love omelets. I chose baby corns, mushrooms, ham, and onions. I was absolutely stuffed. Top value.

Try the building on the corner of sukhumvit and soi 22. No frills but great location.
