  1. You do know most of these tin-box safes used in cheap hotels can be opened using a potato don't you...if you don't believe me just Google it. cheesy.gif

Also, many of them have screw holes or punch-outs for mounting screws that aren't used and a metal hanger can easily be fashioned to access the reset button inside the safe to open it.

As to those reception box safes...what's to stop the staff from making 3 keys...one extra of the guest's.

Best to just keep your funds on you during the day and lock them in your suitcase or hide the wallet in plain sight if you have a prostitute in your room.

  2. The indoctrination really starts early these days.

    Meet baby "Knife of Jeruslem"

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tb4km-6eET0&feature=youtu.be

The friend got the idea while watching the music video "Lovers of Stabbing". Isn't that special?

This is what happens when a people has been brutalized for 50 years. Imagine if the Zionist State had headed the admonitions of the international community and withdrawn to it's recognized borders after the Zionist-Arab wars instead of pursuing its expansionist colonial project into the West Bank, Gaza, and the Golan Heights. They could be living in peace rather than fearing a knife behind every tree.

  3. Nirun is best if you can find a room for around ~4k monthly. I have not found a condo with a better location to be honest. Walkable to pretty much everywhere in town.

I once stayed in a Thai room in Pattaya for about 3,000 monthly, but it was a hellhole. No aircon, dirty walls, wild dogs outside that would fight everyday.. I wouldn't recommend it. Less than 4k in Pattaya won't get you much. But 5k can get you something decent. I stayed at a place on Soi Bongkot that was pretty decent. Had aircon, wifi, tv, fridge, everything and brand new for 5k monthly. No pool though. There are a few on that road. Some even as little as 4k with tv and aircon. Thai style stuff.

Can't go wrong with Nirun, however, it is a little low-rise when it comes time to join the Pattaya Flying Club.

  4. pity they didnt bother policing it tonight, a group of 3 mafia guys slapped a woman around opposite mikes for at least half an hour as the crowd dispersed, mostly due to their threats, and I have never seen so many pickpocketers, a lot of tourists but I dont think much money reaching these people

Some dispursed while others apparently stayed around watching the show for at least 30 minutes.

  5. According to the rumor mill this morning, the X-Trail Hybrid releases in Thailand next month...

Hybrids in Thailand are usually marked as "premium" vehicles...the Camry and Accord hybrids are the most expensive in the line, as is the BMW 5 series hybrid I believe. I wonder if this will hold true for the X-Trail and if so, if they'll up the spec a bit with more airbags, adaptive cruise control, remote engine start, etc.

  6. Have you tried Kasikorn's K-Web vertual Visa credit card. If you have a Kasikorn savings account, your can set this up which is basically a Visa credit card on the front end but a debit card (linked to your Kasikorn account) on the back end. I have been able to use this when doing myriad online transactions from airline and hotel reservations to online website supscriptions with Thai and non-Thai merchants and portals.

  7. Personally i prefer for occupiers to fire back rocket for rocket with the same aim, but thankfully Israeli government is above that.

Right the Apartheid state of Israel is WAY above that. They just build a wall surrounding Gaza and bomb them whenever they want. Surely you cannot compare this to the Warsaw Jewish ghetto in Poland under control by Nazi Germany.

In fact Israel is pretty similar to the Nazis. The Germans just wanted an Aryan state just as the the Zionists just wants a Jewish state. And both of them are pretty keen on using ethnic cleansing to accomplish their goals.

I think you've got this backwards.

The Palestinians MUCH MORE like the Nazis than the Israelis are.

It is the Palestinians that demand a JEW FREE state, just as the Nazis did.

The Israelis include ARABS as about 20 percent of their citizen population.

It was the original leader of the Palestinian political movement who asked Hitler to exterminate all of the Jews of the middle east ... dude, that is about as NAZI as you can get!

You insist on talking about Nazis ... so you asked for this truth. Cheers.

So under Bibi's one-state Greater Judea and Samaria Zionist State, are "free and fair" elections to take place before of after they have been ethnically cleansed of Palestinians?

  8. You cannot control who you fall in love with an I have known this person for 12 years. Certainly was not something I ran into blindly.

Not saying anything about the relationship. ..only that I assume you were aware that sam-sex marriage wasn't then, and isn't likely to be in the near future, legal so that this might present immigration issues at some point. As you said you both could afford the PE visa, maybe this is the best option. There is also the option to "adopt" your partner and this would open up other visa options.

  9. I have a friend that is German and very poor. He is married and pays the immigration and police off in Pattaya to get his extension of stay. He is currently very sick and survives on 400 Euros per month and the wife just waits for him to expire so she can grab a nice house. I am sure he will pass away in the next 3 months as his health is in very bad shape and I do give him some time some money to get by. Damn it this guy would get a big payout early next year as he finally reaches his pension.

Another farang a French guy was just diagnosed with stomach cancer, the inusrance only covers up to 150,000 Baht per month and he was just transferred from a first class private hospital to a government hospital. He should be returning to the home this weekend as he run out of money and the wife refuses to sell the house in Udon Thani (top location) as she wants to have the house too (No children involved).

The mistake both did was that they burned funds on Sinsood, Cars and house and on the end they have nothing,

Can't protect people from their own stupidity. Isn't stomach cancer pretty much untreatable. ..why sell the house and blow his wife's future security so he can have maybe an extra month or so in agony. Seems pretty selfish to me.

  10. Yet then there are long term people like myself that have a Thai partner but gender has determined the fact I cannot stay as I have no visa at all for my situation but the expensive PE. I have several other friends in the same situation; being under 50 an with a Trans-gender partner. My relationship has been perfect for the last 8 years as I have watched so many others relationships (male/female) die horrible deaths around us. So, being a perpetual tourist has been the only way forward for us over the last 8 years.

You all say it is so easy to be legal but in my case, it is not black an white. If I was to leave my partner over visa issues today, I would be destorying the best thing that has happened to me an hurting someone (my partner) that has done nothing wrong apart from being Thai an on the wrong side of the fence.

Well you sorta knew this issue might eventually manifest itself when you initiated the relationship.

  11. You have to wake up to the fact that katoeys are so numerous because their services are in high demand.

Many, many guys, myself included, go to Pattaya and seek the company of ladyboys.

Yes, some are bad.. the same as some girls are bad.

Myself, I like Katoeys and Thailand just would not be the same without them!

Curious. Guys chasing ladyboys are classified as gay?

I cannot speak for anyone else, but I certainly do not feel its gay to chase (or have sex with) ladyboys.

So then what do you "call" a man having sex with a "girl" with a penis? Most straight guys I know aren't attracted to penises...whether they're attached to men or women.

  12. Thanks for the info

I am not a cook or bread maker so I'm stuck with the instructions that came with the bread maker, which says to add powdered skimmed milk to the mix

I did add some milk powder which I learned after the event contained supplements , you know the kind of stuff you take when you are calcium or some vitamin deficient, it didn't work and stopped the yeast from doing its job (I think)

    So another question which maybe Vogie can answer;

If I add normal milk in its liquid form do I need to lessen the amount of water added to the mix because of the added liquid in the milk?

Thanks to all those who answered in an helpful manner

OMG is not Vogie but he does fancy himself a decent home cook...so he'll chime in on this: I would reduce the water by an equal amount to the amount of milk used. If you want to fortify it with extra iron and vitamins just add a bit of powdered baby formula to the mixture.
Why the attack? Only trying to help?
What attack...just an attempt at humor. Sorry if it offended you. ☺
Sorry didn't understand your humour, maybe someone will explain it to me one day.

If you ate not a native English speaker my post may have been confusing as I was referring to myself in the "third person " tense where one, when talking about themselves, would speak in the first person tense. The op asked you to respond further and I sorta butted in so made a joke about this.

  13. Not to mention their 50 year illegal occupation of the West Bank, Gaza, and the Golan Heights.

Only illegal in your mind. It's called the "spoils of war"...wars by the way, that Israel did not start. Those conquered lands are now part of Israel....

So you are also agreeing with me that the Zionist State is an outlaw regime. Thank you, as under international law, these are occupied territories captured in war and to which the Zionist State has been directed by the UN to relinquish many times. There is no "spoils of war" doctrine under international law.

  15. It seems that the esteemed members of this forum that rushes to the defense of the Palestinians, branding Israel

a Zionist regime, apartheid state and other derogatory titles, are not interested in facts, or history, or the truth

for that matter, their views are so askew and awry and so far gone slanted that no matter what you say, they're

steadfast in their opinions that the Jews are always to blame no matter what they do or say, and that the don't deserve a

safe and secured borders and a homeland of their own...

I think most (all?) Jews too would characterize it as a Zionist state. Why is this a problem...is it getting embarrassing to associate with this ideology these days?

Zionism started as ideology and become a realty, Zionism was not base on denying other nations of their

rights to their own land and a state, the narrative of Zionism is to create, invent and prosper and make

something out of nothing which they did, big time, what have the Palestinians ever achieved in all the years

    they have existed? Big Nothing...

You mean how like National Socialism was an ideology and later a reality to create a Germanic homeland and how Apartheid was the same for the whites who colonized South Africa? I agree, this is what I've been saying all along.

  17. Inaccurate or not, this is not the point here, the point here is that the over lord and the most important

person in Palestine at that time, a person of immense influence and respect, sat with Hitler begging him

to do away with the Jews, make sure to not let them come to Palestine, is he any better that Hitler?

Who dose that? who sit down with one of the worst dictator mass murder in the world history plotting

the liquidation and demise of another nation in modern times?

is there any better proofs of the Arabs/Palestinians intentions towards the Jews? dose the world remember

or even knows all that, No, all the see is a bloody Palestinian child and his mother crying, that's more

than enough to brand the Jews the evil, heartless nation, and the world asks, why there is no peace in the Middle East....

At the time the Grand Mufti was talking to Hitler, ie BEFORE the holocaust, Hitler was NOT a mass murderer or notorious, so your insinuating question about who sits down with a mass murderer is misleading, to say the least.

And it still does not excuse the way Israel treats Palestinians.

A lot of nazi and ss officers ran to middle east for safe heaven.

Can not hear yet another troll response and reasoning.

Many were spirited out of Germany to England and the United States as well...what's your point?
