Here is a place for Americans to Apologize to Canadians
Powder replied to Jingthing's topic in Political Soapbox
i think you made a mistake, right? it should be: here is a place where the USA can apologize to those countries who they invaded, ruined, stole what not belong to them. Finding or better: created reasons to make war. Leaving countries behind with so many deads, stealing their oil and minerals. God bless America, NO! Impossible, with such a history -
Appeal Launched for British Teacher Gravely Injured in Thailand Crash
Powder replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
At first I need to wish him well. Such an accident and injuries, I wish nobody. But, i find this kind of fundraising disgusting. And again its a Brit. Don't they know anything of insurance. Are they travelling without any knowledge of the country they go. Not prepare anything? Going brainless to Thailand, this is not a teacher, it's a joke. -
Thailand's Expats Urged to Register with TRD for Tax, Says Expert
Powder replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Carden, who? Only afraid his wallet smells unions. You believe he really is caring about all those expats and pensionados? no way. a friend of me went to the revenue, English not possible, his wife was told, not need to show up here again. More the 40% of the Thai citizen don't pay tax. WHAT? yes that's correct. What's the government doing about it? NADA. The government started with a digital money project. Failure and what about the elites who store their money elsewhere? And pls stop talking about fairness about paying taxes. i already pay enough tax in my home country, even now, living in Thailand -
Foreigner Wrecks Chiang Mai Stall After Smoking Ban Warning
Powder replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
they always talk about those Russians, but there is a saying: when a Brit leaves his country, he 'll forget to bring his brain with him or her. Accidents, bad behavior, drunk etc. Acting like kids and short tempered. A disgrace for their homeland -
are you a doctor or an idiot.? ah, i thought. you need a podium otherwise you get crazy

Several neighbouring countries compete with Thailand for foreign retirees
Powder replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
i completely agree with you. From this year on every expat staying longer then 180 days need to pay tax. And in return? Nothing changes. Actually Thailand is not competing at all. Its like they focus more and more on tourists, instead of making things a little easier for retirees. No, its a one way. Some job to do for the Shinawatra family. -
British yoga teacher stranded in Bangkok airport over passport tear
Powder replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
really unbelievable, like a child, unprepared and acting like "i thought like this and that". And the family help her, not really, with crowdfunding. Its weird, most of the time its a Brit. Do they leave their brain at home when going for a holiday. And they act that its normal that crowdfunding is the best thing to do. This girl lived for a long time under a rock. -
Thai doctor in Swiss expat case says she has ‘stress’
Powder replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News

If you have a Wise account, like me, it is a good one. Amounts to send below ±€1000,- arrive in a few seconds/ minutes. Above this amount can indeed take a few days. As far as I know it's because they are checking for money laundering. One issue I have: I had a debtcard and a virtual debt card. They are both blocked because someone tried to take advantage of my cards. Without success. Because of this matter I have a new problem: They blocked both cards, but because I left my home country and having not any longer an address, only in Thailand, Wise doesn't send me a new card or not even a virtual card. Also bec. of living in Thailand I cannot use Revolut!! Other options? i have no idea

Are farangs inadvertently colonizing Thailand?
Powder replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Are Thai not colonized?? Then who is in charge? a Thai PM or a Chinese PM? Who runs the top stores, factories etc.? it's another way of colonizing but still. -
Half the nation complain if a farang does a bad thing. Now this 32y. old woman dies bec. bystanders and the one who video this drama. Like Paddypower mentioned its: Thailand is a Buddhist nation in name only. What a tragedy. At least a few people could have done something. Karma will hit back for sure

terrible story. we all know that these balconeys are build for Asian constructions. So bend over to much and there you go. It seems that the citizen of England have an subscription for a failing health insurance and crowdfunding. The real story of this will maybe show up later??! i hope he get well soon

more and more i get the feeling, i am not welcome, but i can leave the money behind. It shows the true nature of the government, who never come a step forward to expats and tourists. Make it easier for 90 days, some documents wouldn't actually no longer be neccesary if living here for a couple of years. and so on and on. No, nothing like this. Thank God, i can choose, right?! If they insist to pay 1000 baht, i will do this one time. After that, arrividerci. And i gues in the years to come, i will not be the only one.

British woman breaks nearly every bone in face in Thailand
Powder replied to webfact's topic in Koh Samui News
very sad story for this young woman. Even if she is a passenger its worth a question? Is'nt the bf responisible, he was the driver. If he does not have a license, they are very stupid. Both of them should know making a holiday to foreign countries, a travellinginsurance is a must. Bad preperation or are they so ignorant and think: if something happens we gofunding? This happens already so many times in Thailand, when they start to use common sense -
