Thank you dr. May I put my son in contact with you for parenting instructions? My attitude as a father is teaching children to have responsibility for their own actions and respecting their parents. It worked for me.If this was my son I would see to it he inlisted in the military. After a short time he would find out what respect and responsibility meant. Obviously he is lacking in both.
You couldn't, he's an adult beyond his parents control if that's what he wants.
And having a father with an attitude like yours might explain his actions.
Yes, you may.

As far as I am concerned this article is taking the piss. Perhaps the next article will be "Marrie Celleste" arrives safely in Liverpool.
Absolutely the worst peice of reporting i have seen.
I'm sure the publishing world is concerned by your opinion.
-
I'm a bit pissed off by not getting any info, to be honest. Not even the Facebook page mentions what actually happened. A lot of people tried to help the family and now Tom was found and that's it?
Pity about you, you're not owed any explanation regardless of how important you are.
-
I wonder how much money this cost daddy (police etc). Maybe the next missing person's family will not have the resourses, so yes it is everyones business.
No it's not, it's nobody's business but his, and maybe his family's. If I went missing here, for instance, it would have sod-all to do with you.

And.......?
Don't we get any explanation as to where/why he went missing?
Sent from my GT-I9100T
You do know that he's not obliged to explain his actions to you or anyone?

After all she's been through, she is now paraded in front of a crowd of male photographers to have her injuries stared at and photographed?
Whatever is sick with this country, it doesn't just stop at the people who inflict this pain and injury.
After all she has been through, I imagine that having her injuries photographed and publicised would be the least of her worries.
It would seem there is far greater concern being expressed by westerners on TV with a very contemporary sense of morality.
The girl (from her appearance in the photos) shows no obvious signs of pubescence. Despite their numerous shortcomings, I am confident the Thai police would have handled this differently if that were not the case. I also cannot remember seeing any photos of her face, which would identify her.
I am starting to worry whether I should delete and shred the numerous photos I (and other family members) have of my pre-pubescent children and grand-children, taken in such settings as the bath, and at the beach.
You are missing the point, it does not matter if she shows signs of pubescence, it matters that she is 12 years old, and therefore most likely does not want to be paraded around naked in front of a large crowd of men with cameras. Unlike you I am confident the Thai police and press barely consider this girl human, she is not Thai afterall.
I guarantee you that there would be public outrage and legal consequences in my homecountry, if male officers were looking at or taking naked pictures of 12 year old girls for any reason!
There appears to be some reports not shown on this site, ie. the pictures of the girl being "paraded naked in front of a large crowd of men". This site shows one picture of the girl with the back of her shirt lifted up, that's a long way from being paraded naked and male officers "taking naked pictures of 12 year old girls".
-
100,000 baht of tax payer money wasted. The officers responsible for releasing them should be fired - no doubt they were bribed!
Anyway, nice for the Karen girl to experience a little more Thainess. Not only was she abused by the Thai couple, she then had to watch while Thai police let the couple go, and then she had to parade naked in front of male police and reporters taking pictures of her!
Way to go Thailand - you must be so proud :-)
And you must be proud of yourself making up total nonsense like you just posted. She wasn't paraded naked at all.

What has the girls pubescence or otherwise got to do with anything? What does the rest of your post mean? The "police would have handled this differently", if what where the case?

High Thai rewards. Does anyone know the reward for information leading to the arrest of the Ferrari Red Bull cop killer hit and run? Apparently he's escaped his warrants and the police seem dumfounded to track him down. In addition to the wrongful death of a police office, hit and run, there are numerous other charges for collaboration, drinking while impaired with alcohol and drugs, reckless endangerment, obstruction of justice. The reward must be much larger than the 100,000 in the above story.
How is any of that relevant to this report?

Money, money, money......,,!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The police had them in their hands, released those couple bastards on bail, and now, in the eye of (international) public, they're going for the arrest warrant scheme, to save face, of the bailouts they have granted those two ....
So the same police that have granted those two thugs bail, are practically telling: "dear public, you'll handle our case and we'll reward you with money, so we the police don't need to bother with that case any more.
For this poor little girl, THIS IS A CHEAT, do the police really look down on the intelligence of the ordinary people? Doesn't the police realize the couple may be on the run by now????
AMAZING JUSTICE, AMAZING THAILAND... This is beyond my belief....
This is not intended to be funny...
So why did you include the "laughing" icons, you insensitive clown?
-
Whatever scumbag gave these scum bail needs to be punished - all so sadly predictable. Words do not work for these despicable life forms.
And just who are these sick XXXXX who are taking pictures of this poor girl????
Perhaps they are police, social workers, lawyers, carers, or some other kind of people who could help the girl. They are almost certainly not the sick "whatevers" that you claim them to be.

there is a russian money exchange booth on soi bukhaw, and a russian guy is working from there, any snide farang tourist police here lol
Having just grassed someone it's a bit rich for you to be slagging-off police volunteers.

Its all over Miss Sedova You’re Nicked
PATTAYA:--Staff at Central Festival Mall on Pattaya Beach are fast becoming experts in spotting shopaholics without dosh as some tourists seem to be increasingly turning to theft as a method of acquiring the latest fashion without paying.
Sunday night was the turn of a 32 year old woman, reported to be Russian who, as other have done before her, “shopped till she dropped” but, in her case, without paying.
It should have clicked with the dumbest of the dumb by now that shoplifters here are not treated to a slap on the wrists by security guards as in Europe but considered as thieves

Ironically, in view of previous comments, she's got a face like a smacked arse. Nothing personal intended, just an observation.

A lot to do with the merchants simply not checking signatures of cards/slips, combined with the banks refusing to punish the merchants (i.e. not paying the merchant if signature doesn't match).
It's probably just as difficult for a Thai to distinguish between foreign signatures as it would be for a foreigner to decide if a Thai signature matches
Doesn't matter whether the signature is in Thai or English or any other language, all that needs to be done is to make sure the signatures are identical, the only ability needed to do that is to be able to see. Even if it cannot be deciphered its easy to see whether signatures match.

climb back under your rockWhy is everything just a lie when you read these reports? she was sooo drunk that she couldnt get up but somehow then know that 2 of the rapists cum inside of her.. How do they know this is the sperm 2 different colours.. more bullshit
<deleted> are you talking about?? How do they know that 2 men climaxed inside of her when she was so drunk that she couldnt stand?? Its a simple question but i guess your simple so come back with crap.. no doubting she was raped.. maybe you should read properly before answering old boy
Maybe she told the police that.
You are right, of course, there is no doubting she was raped...but hang on,old boy, how do you come to that conclusion, you have some information no-one else has about this alleged rape?
-
My wife just asked me 'is it normal for Farang girls to get that drunk'...
Enough said !
Yeah reall...enough!
Call me funny, but I still think, everybody has the right to drunk as much as they like...without being raped!
But I guess, you and your wife are much wiser!
You're "funny".

Yes Sing_Sling, that caught my eye too!
A teacher at aged 20? Impossible!!
More incorrect reporting and, therefore, that makes the rest of the of the report doubful in many areas, even if it is truth in all areas.
-mel.
You're right, of course, unless she was unusually gifted and attended Teacher Training College a few years earlier than normal people. But is it not more likely that she is one of the many unqualified scallies who decide they'd like an extended holiday here and the only way they can do it is to try to con employment as an English teacher, to the detriment of the unfortunate children who end up thinking they're being taught properly, as opposed to inaccurate reporting?
Having said that, regardless of her academic and professional ability ,however, the alleged rape is to be condemned.

The PATTAYADAILYNEWS obviously couldn't resist the temptation to publish the victim's name in full while keeping the culprits anonymous. And labelling these men "troublemakers" is just a disgusting euphemism.
It's not a euphemism, all these news reports are originally in Thai, obviously. The unfortunate use of the word "troublemakers" is simply a result of the translation.

Nobody was arrested for the assault so how could they be named, unless the attackers left their business cards?

"... Chalerm said a little bit, the shop owner should consider himself to be lucky that no gun was pointed to his head during the visit."
Can anyone believe this idiot running the Thai Police? T.i.T. And HE represents law and order???
More scary... This half-wit heads up Thai civil security...Curfew anyone...???
What's just as scary is half-wits and idiots who can't understand basic English when they read it, and then go on to have a non-sensical rant about it. Chalerm did not say the underlined words you refer to.

Thai driving test = a couple of laps in a car park whilst the examiner watches from a safe distance.
The real driving test: You fail the first time no matter how well you drive. The Land Transport Office offers you the license for 5000 baht. Got it from a friends Thai wife. She refused to pay and went round a second time, successfully.
On a tangential note, Thai's HATE confrontation or conflict, so keep talking until they give up. Be nice, but keep talking, and they will look for an easier target.
my wife done it 3 times, no success, then she paid the 500 baht,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and pick up her driver licens next day, easy Thailand!!!!
Hope she's proud of herself, you seem to be.

"... Chalerm said a little bit, the shop owner should consider himself to be lucky that no gun was pointed to his head during the visit."
Can anyone believe this idiot running the Thai Police? T.i.T. And HE represents law and order???
An unfortunate comment considering his son's previous.
A Freudian slip showing in a big way.
Definitely no Freudian slip, he didn't say it. Read the sentence again.

No, he represents the LACK of law and order in this country, when the top cop comes out with the dribble he does you really do need to wonder how far down he and his kind will take this country.
Chalerm didn't say it, the writer of the editorial said those words. It was his opinion. It wasn't Chalerm's drivel.

Chalerm didn't say the part you have underlined, the reporter did. The reporter said "to add to what Chalerm said a little bit,' the phrase following was his opinion.
