I believe technically it's is a 2-into-1 exhaust system. Two exhaust headers going into one collector/cat/muffler. The muffler is part of the exhaust system.
Your description works for me.

I believe that the 500 has only one exhaust and looks exactly the same as the 300 except the engine in the frame.
2 exhausts, 1 muffler.

This comprised of doing searches on the internet for reviews and watching YouTube.
Everyone seems to say that the Rebel 300 is an entry level motorbike and you should buy the 500 for smoothness and keeping up with traffic on the "highways".
I asked a serious motorcyclist client of mine in the UK ( has 8 bikes) that told me go for the Rebel 500 for the smoothness and definately opt for ABS.
So I started thinking; yep; it has to be the 500 then.
But then I started reading and watching reviews that say there is a vibration on the 500 between 100 and 120 kph which i would have said was the cruising speed on the large main roads in Thailand.
I understand that the Rebel 300 can be bought at any Honda dealer and the Rebel 500 can only be bought at Honda Big Bike shops.
I then looked at the retail prices:
Rebel 300 is 145,000 bt
Rebel 500 is 220,000 bt
That is a 75,000 bt difference for exactly the same bike except the engine being a twin and 200 cc more.
My question to you all is is the Rebel 300 adequate for cruising on the main roads in Thailand for a 80 kilo guy with the 42 kilo Thai girl as pillion to go to Udon Thani 30 kms away and Koen Kean 70 kms away?
Speaking for myself, my experience with the Rebel 300. I've had it since February this year and put just over 30,000 km on it. From Korat a trip to Chang Rai, several trips to Nong Khai, 2 trips to Pattaya, etc. I typically travel between 100 and 110. 120 if on a divided highway. The ride is comfortable for me. I am about 75 kilo and passenger about 50 kilo. Again, smooth and comfortable. Plenty of "power" for overtake. Obviously I am happy and satisfied with the performance thus far.

I recently came accross the Honda Rebel 300.
I really like the retro looks.
I also like the fact that the seat being only 68cm ( 27") means that the Thai girl can drive it. (It wouldn't seem such extravagant toy then).
A few questions:
1) Should I pay extra for the ABS and how much extra is it?
2) Is this Rebel 300 reliable and going to last for years (say 10 years)?
3) Does it come with the passenger seat and passenger foot rests as standard in Thailand because I haven't seen a video in Thailand without the back seat and foot rests?
If it doesn't, how much extra is that?
4) Is the passenger seat comfortable/acceptable for an 80 Kilo guy if the Thai girl is driving.
Your questions:
1. ABS is standard in Thailand as far as I can tell.
2. Since it has just been released beginning of this year, pretty hard to say how long will it last. I bought it in February and have put over 30000 km on it and still going strong. Seems "rugged" enough so far to last a long time.
3. Haven't seen one without the passenger seat and footrests in Thailand, so I am guessing standard.
4. Back seat comfortable enough for a 50 kilo girl (so she says), but an 80 kilo guy, don't know, but I wouldn't want to be a passenger on any bike (and I am 75 kilo).

You said "I have One 2 call"
Sorry the way I read it, looked like you had One 2 call with an internet package with free calls.

This code only works for One-2-Call. I have an internet package that includes free calls and it didn't work for me.
I have One 2 call and an internet package that included 100 free minutes. Still worked for me.

In the 51st state where I live Canada border agency actually shares info with Canada revenue agency and they know exactly how long I have been out of the country as a non resident for tax purposes.
Be aware that the false safety of not getting caught in the first few years and perhaps even as long as a decade is just an excuse to slap you with maximum penalty and interest.
In short, yes....it's very easy for them to figure out where you live.
51 st state??? What state would that be?

Wow! Great, it actually worked!

I really love the classic retro look.
It looks a feasible buy for me because the seat at 68cm (27") appears lower than the Honda Wave and Honda Scoopy that the Thai girl and I have.
Is it suitable for a girl to drive?
The bike sits low enough to accommodate some of us "shorter" people. See no reason why a girl would have any problem with it.
I now have just over 30,000 Km on it. Needed a new chain at 25,000 Km. I had the sprockets changed at the same time.
Still very happy with the bike and the ride.

Sorry, but best is to go into the office and leave it behind you... not sure why it will take all day? I regularly pay my bills at the office and they are polite and friendly and rarely a line...
I would imagine the simple reason is that cancelling by phone there is no ID required and anyone could cancel anyone else's service...
Travel time, etc.

When they wrote to me demanding payment for my last bill (3 years after I'd canceled my landline), they accompanied the bill with a legal threat that looked quite serious. I decided not to test it--I don't need any problems. Besides, I did still owe the money that I'd long forgotten about.
Nobody hated going to the TOT office more than I did, but I ended up getting a smile out those ladies (maybe the only farang ever to have done so), so it was pleasant enough. I didn't have to travel a large distance, however.
Yea. I think she is just going to have to "bite the bullet" and go to the office. Oh well.

Don't pay, easy answer, they will write to your Mrs and ask for the money. That's as far as they will go.

You may be correct. But according to wife it can/might/will cause her problems for future financial dealings.

I want to cancel the TOT internet service in my home. Had it for several years but the service has deteriorated to the point that I have now had 3BB installed. The service is in my wife's name and she called the TOT service center to try and cancel. They said she must go to the TOT office in Bua Yai, basically wasting a day to do this. When we had the service installed several years ago she never had to go to the office. She called and they came out to her. Anybody know if there is another way to cancel the service without going to the office? Sure we could just not pay the bill, but that could cause her problems in the future.
-
As Ubonjoe says, of course you can do it in Korat. I could tell you where the office is in Bua Yai, but not so easy to describe.. Wondering who said you can't do it in Korat?

I apologize for that, it's a nouvu.
I checked the Changrai saddle web site and they list a Honda Nouvu tail rack at 900 Baht. I think they misnamed it because I think Nouvu is Yamaha.

Have been there today, with the mounting bracket they're about 3,500. The brackets cost 1,200 alone. They said they can put a extra break light on the box for 300 baht .
So you have never said what kind of bike. Makes a huge difference if you need the mounting bracket also.

Changrai saddle has new ones, cheapest 1,700 Baht. You can order from them on their internet store (just google the name) They ship via EMS, cheap.

The muffler/silencer on the Rebel looks HUGE and I bet it weighs a bit too. Id be inclined to get something after market but then as its mounted quite low the centre of gravity wont affect it so much.
Glad youre enjoying the rides and I prefer a bit of cloud cover when riding.... the sun can really fry ones brain in a helmet otherwise
Agreed on the cloud covering for comfort, but not so nice for pictures.

From your perspective was there anything else (main dealer new) within it's entry level/price/cc range that you would have considered? Can you also tell us a bit about your cruising/top speed thoughts etc.
Heading to dealer today for 18,000 km service. Actually I saw the 400 Stallion, which looked somewhat interesting for the price tag. But I really prefer the Honda make, and for me, I liked the look of the Rebel.
Normal cruising speed on the highways, was 110 to 120. Back roads around 100. Mountain curves, twists and turns considerably slower. Again, I like the "fat" tires, as I "feel" safer. Anyway, still enjoying and having fun. Trip next week from Korat to Nong Khai. Usually do that once a month anyway.

I had to have Residence Certificate when I recently sold my motorcycle. This was in Korat. You should be able to get a Residence Certificate from your Embassy while on a 30 day waiver.
