Cheapest ??? well yes I suppose it's only 1900 bht but then you have to season money for 2 or 3 months not sure which. Money that could be put to better use. Then fill in all the forms have all the correct documentation. sit in a office whilst queuing for how ever long. This is the reason I wanted to get a non o multi entry. But each to there own.
I have no seasoned money in the bank. I agree it is a total wast of time to make a few photocopies of different papers, the costs of a Stamp at my Embassy and it took 2 hours last week for my Extension of Stay. Total expenses 3.300 Thb and 4 hours including travel.
It all depends on where you live, some Immigration Offices are very busy or not as cooperate to smooth up the proces.
Lucky in Krabi they work efficient and it seems they have more than enough staff to coop with the amount of applications.

It's seems amazing but last week I went for Extension Of Stay at Krabi Immigration.
He typed my name on a keyboard and a black box under the table made some noice and a screen on the desk showed a folder with all my details
and scans of all the papers used at previous applications.
He opened an old interview page of the misses, changed the dates and some other info, printed it out and saved it into a new folder under my name.
I understand, Thailand is a third world country and still use smoke signals to communicate to other tribes, but at Krabi Immigration they have
working computer systems. Amazing Thailand.

With a NON-O I would say: Visit local Immigration 30 days before last day of entry.
Apply for 1 Year Extension of Stay, costs 1.900 Thb.
If you like to make holidays abroad: Single Re-entry 1.000 Thb or Multiple Re-entry 3.800 Thb.
Cheapest option.

I can understand that you're already disappointment with the visa rules of Thailand.
To make you more happy, read this topic
Yes, you can cross the border to Malaysia and you get a 90 day visa exempt entry for their, on return to Thailand you get the 30 day visa exempt entry which as mentioned before can be extended with another 30 days at a local Immigration Office.

Go to the Ministery of Labor, ask nicely how to extend your Work Permit and they gave me (in Krabi) a A4 with all the requirements in English.
Go home to take the papers, get all the copies and enjoy another visit to the counter.
Easy job.

The last sentence of the news paper will be a blow for all those people working online.
Read many times keeping low profile will do, but there are no rules for on-line workers.
Copied the last part: They will be charged under the Computer Crime Act BE 2550 for disseminating pornography from within the Kingdom, and for working without the correct visa and work permits.

It seems he stayed in Thailand with an Extension of Stay based on retirement on which you should no you are not allowed to work
As soon as captured for illegal working the Immigration Office voided the Extension of Stay because in you application you agree not to work with this kind of extension.
That could be the only reason for deportation based on having no visa.

You can also apply for the 5 year Elite Visa at 500.000 Thb.
After all with all the "stong currency" cash you bring into this country it would be peanuts to pay for.
According to my knowledge in 2004 52 Thb for 1 Euro and now 38 Thb. Not strong in my opinion.

If you, as ou write: "the Thai force you out of the country", do not like you have a much better option.
Apply at the local Immigration for an Extension Of Stay for 1 year based on married with a Thai.
If you like to go outside of Thailand on holiday ask also for a re-entry permit, single or multiple.
On that way you only have to proof address every 90 days and do not have to leave the country.

It is july, not even thinking about Christmas. I guess news reporters are getting bored after the brexit polls.

You write down that you can apply for extension of stay at local Immigration.
You can apply and directly ask for a Multiple Re-entry at local Immigration, so you can travel in and out when you need.

5000 people a day brings in 1.7 million on National Park fees. Maya Bay, well know from the movie the Beach, is the hot spot tourist attraction in the Andaman Sea.
All tourists from Phuket, Phang Nga and Krabi make the trip on long tail boats, speed boats or ferry and every dive shop tours into the bay for photo shoots.
Closing down will have a huge impact on tourism in the whole area, not only the boat owners but also hotels, guest houses, restaurant bars, food suppliers, gasoline stations etc etc etc.
The main reason these people are there is to see this beach and walk on the sand like Leonardo di Caprio did years ago.
If it get closed those people will go to other locations. Department of National Park never had the staff to enforce what ever rule or the tools to do.
Regulate, how difficult it is due to to many ports of embarking, the amount of boats and people. Enforce with more rangers and tools, like boats, the rules with heavy fines.
Not only a small fine for the boat crew but also heavy fines for the operators. Make it a Marine National Park, more strict rules and as said enforce and punish the violators.
There are designated areas for swimming separate with yellow bouy lines, the boat crew use these lines for mooring and let the boat drift inside the closed area.
Speeding into and on the way out is spectacular for the customers but not for their safety.
Things have changed the last year in the benefit of safety and environment, keep on going in the same way.

If you married and want to set up a company you still need 2 employees in the company.
Why not find a Thai Tour Guide, teach him the way you want him to guide your customers.
Same story for the driver.
As Steve Jobs said: If you take care your staff, they will take care your customers.

I must be doing something totally wrong in Thailand.
I'm Dutch national and visited the HMS Pattani. I came along with some German and Dutch friends and we walked every where.
Inside, outside, the bridge, took pictures and all we got from crew members was a nice smile.
Yes, I can show you what we did. Take a look:

Apply for one year Extension of Stay at a local Immigration office on your R&R time in Thailand.
Take a multiple entry and you can come and go for 1 year.

I always notice that posts about Thai woman and Foreign man always end up in:
The Thai woman are in it for the money.
I joined in a group of volunteers discussing the same thing a few years ago. So I asked the Foreign girls what their Ideal husband would be?
After some hours the answer was: A airline pilot in Canada, they look so sexy in their uniforms.
My repley: So you look for a man who is many times away from home but have a good income.
Can you not fall in love with a guy who is just cleaning at a bar?
Girls did not talk to me for days.
I can not paste the link somehow, but take a look at How to prank a gold digger on YouTube.
For sure you will have a laugh.

Level of stupidity of home delivery is the title, but it is just a change of the web shop.
I agree total with you: How stupid can they be to provide a FREE service to a farang.
You can only order smaller amounts, but they still brings it to your house for FREE.
And your last point hit it for me: How dare to take out the assortiment of Meadowlea, Flora or any other non butter spread.
I suggest not only to fire the manager but all of the staff and close the shop down immediately.
That will teach the Thai.
But the Farang has to go around on his bike to find new shops who do provide his favourite farang food.
Could it be good management ? Replacing products with low turnover (profit) to other more profitable products?

Living in Ao Nammao, small place close to Krabi Town.
There are beaches around, clean and non touristic but small drive out of the main beaches.
Ao Nang beaches are daily cleaned by hotel staff and Government staff.
Weekly extra clean ups by volunteers of Trash Hero (every Sunday), Department of National Park (every Thursday)
and monthly by Government, hotels, schools and volunteers under the name Keep Krabi Clean & Green.

Well, after 16 seconds in the Video the Farang hits the Thai man passing, discussion starts and on second 52 the English Lady hits the Thai man in the face.
That are the first hits made in the video.
Even the lady hits the man it is not an excuse for a mob to kick the daylight out of others.
I agree that this violence is absolute not done and the boys need to be tracked down by police and get punished.
But after looking several times I can not agree that the tourist where passive and just passing.

Indieke, as some others mentioned your GF just happens to get an Immigration Officer who had a bad day.
I agree that some people giving comments out of line, but if I just read your comments I can understand:
Copy and Paste from your previous posts:
comment nr 17: First, a visa will not change anything, and will be refused for a girl that has no official employment, or income.
comment nr 21: I send her to school, and learned her to stand up to herself, so she not depend on me.
I can understand that an Immigrations Officer get suspicious when a girl visit for the 6 time on a Visa Exempt Entry and extension for another 30 day of stay.
I just wonder myself, a girl without employment and income, going to school not depending on Farang boyfriend how can she pay for 6 trips to Thailand?
I hope you don't get angry, I wish you all the luck and happiness with this girl but travelling in and out Thailand with Visa Exempt Entrys does rais eyebrows with Immigration Officers.
There are many more posts in this Forum about the usage of this kind of entry.

Ao Nang is over develloped. Take a look in Ao Nammao.
The new yacht harbour opens in May at Baan Leampo and the Government is still building a port for ferry and yachts at Ao Nammao pier.
It is a developing area for the next few years.
