  1. Got to be dumber than dirt to leave chicken on the table for 3 days, then eat it.

    Pretty common around here.

often makes me wonder about the food stalls with duck hanging and chicken hanging in a glass cabinet, they cut some off then put rest back in the glass, yet I never seem to get ill from it,I'll bet its not put in a fridge over night, in fact they probably just wheel the cart home put in garden and cover with a tarp till next day lol.

  2. You can get a 60 day extension to visit your wife. She will need to go to immigration with you when you apply/

You will need your marriage certificate (plus a copy). copies of your wife's house book and ID card.

You may also need proof of residence unless you living where your wife's house book is for.

You can only do the extension once per entry.

The longest you can stretch the visa is about 17 months by doing a 60 day entry for the last 90 day entry you can get by doing it just before you visa expires.

You can also apply for a one year extension if you can meet the financial requirements/

TY but could you make it a bit clearer for me plz I'm not overly bright :(

do you mean every time I leave Thailand and re enter I can extend my 30 day stamp by 60 days or,

I can only extend my 30 day stamp 1 time only on this visa ?

    Cheers :)

  3. You have to make a border run to get a new 90 day entry.

You can get a one year extension of stay if you quantify for it. On what basis do you have the non-o.

Marriage, my wife seems to think that I dont have to do a border run as per usual listening to her friends, I was under the impresion that I could extend my stamp by another 30 days then do a border crossing then a border run just before it runs out, hence getting 18 months from the 1 yr none "O" based on marriage,Am I correct ? if so can I get it extended in Bangkok ?

  4. Don't carry a weapon. Carry a brain.

You should be able to avoid or talk your way out of any situation using the brain you're carrying.

If you truly need to carry a weapon, hire someone to do it for you.

    A man carries a brain.

    A grunt carries a weapon.

Men hire grunts to protect them.

I take exception to your comment having been a body guard for many years without my brains and know how many a person would be dead without this grunt ! you really think a brain isnt needed to look after someone god help us all!

  5. All left-over food should be stored in the fridge especially beef, pork etc......maybe try & show her on Youtube what can come of someone who eats 3 day old food, she might be shocked!....well it might be a good start. Good luck!

tried that as far as she is concerned the world is wrong and she is right,as far as putting the food in the fridge for the moment it is happening due to another irritation lol, ANTS the really small ones, there getting all over the food ect, so she has now started putting it in the fridge and she says we throw away what we dont eat. lol I try my damnedest to make her understand and its ants that make her do it dont figure.

  6. Did you know that there are hundreds (or thousands) of different varieties of potatoes?

In Europe the supermarkets may offer 3-4 different one. In Thailand only 1 and maybe the wrong one....

I shall have to search for another place to buy them see if they are better but I can assure you the ones I have been buying have a sweet taste to them, they look like big new potatoes and a similar taste.

  7. Anyone know ? Im not talking about sweet potatoes,I'm talking about potatoes to make chips, mash spud smile.png I always get mine from Big C. The bread is the same some of it is really sweet why do they put so much sugar in stuff? lord only knows how they got it into a potato :)

  8. Apparently you two didn't "play house" before you got married. If you had, you would have realized she wasn't a fit cook. Hope she makes up for this serious shortcoming in other areas of domestic life.

At this point, all you can do is take up cooking for yourself. Maybe install a western kitchen inside for you (and off limits for her) and let her have a Thai kitchen outside or on the balcony.

lived together in my house in uk for 5 years before came to Thailand to live and marry, I cooked for myself most of the time due to hours I worked ect .

  9. I keep trying to explain to my wife that I wont eat the rice cooked yesterday and left out in the open because I may get ill from it, she doesn't seem to understand food should be stored in the fridge after its cooked and seems to think I'm the one been stupid ! Its not just rice, she'll cook some chicken or pork any meat really and put a plate on it then leave it on the table, or in a cupboard, sometimes for 3-4 days. The rice is cooked in rice cooker and left in it over a few days and she reheats the full lot every time she wants some. What gets me the most is she'll buy vegetables and always puts them in the fridge to rot, not sure why maybe she forgets they are there, but I think its cause she buys way too much!and why does she insist on using the floor as a table instead of the table ?

  10. He's just punishing you for your inappropriate light cluster ornaments.

Dont get me started on them things ! the mrs and the brother-in-law went out in it one day suposedly to the market the car came back like that got them on the front too,we had a big barney over them bloody things in the end i gave in,they screw the lights for night driving!theres some stupid black strip on the front of the bonnet too serves no purpose at all :(

  11. This is down to bad management in your building. In my building no one gets in without a numbered sticker and anyone parking like that (or anywhere else outside a marked bay) would be clamped within a minute or two.

You need to talk to the management/committee and get them to introduce a penalty system that works.

Anyone who relies on Thais doing "the right thing" is wasting his time. They mostly think only of themselves and the only answer is to punish them for their selfishness.

there are bays marked out for it its a bit crazy and the security guard knows you he lets you in if not you need a ticket heres a pick to clarify the way he parked :)

  12. its usually very difficult to find a space to park after 8pm but i dont moan. I often have cars park in front of me so I have to push them out of the way,not a problem i too have parked the thai way across another car as parking is hard sometimes, but yesterday I got to my car to find the car in front with a wheel lock on,so I took a photo and wondered off to security, they sent me back to my car, about 5 mins later a security guard turns up and explains visually that the fool has put the hand brake on,any way the guard wonders off and comes back with a trolly jack and jacks the back wheels up and we attempt to push the car but it dont move, so after 10 mins of trying I tell him dont matter I'll walk :( anyway checked a couple of times and still there I'm hoping its gone today as I really want to get in my car! Have things to do,why dont they make all residents and guests put the room number in the window it would make things a lot easier,I'll bet I dont even get a sorry for not been able to use my car all day :(

  13. I know its been said already but a profesional burgular will hit the houses with bars, alarms, dogs ect because why go to all that trouble and expense if you havent got anything worth having, now what you have to ask yourself is are there profesional burglars working your area? plus I think you'll attract attention from the locals which may be unwanted, I think a lot of Thais think farang got money so putting bars up ect may just fuel that.
