I saw five nice Thai ladies workers with brooms walking nonchalantly down the Jomtien sidewalk. Don't you all think they could clean a playground in an hour. I refuse to organize anything to do with this playground. That fool at City Hall who said he lost the playground key should be fired or worse. Then he said some other department had the key and it would be cleaned. As we all know the only reason we are all here is for the ladies and cheap rent, who cares about playgrounds but someone needs to hold this government to its word and teach them western truthfulness before this place goes under.

No it’s you that do not understand . Yep points It's believed that the sweetness of honey triggers your salivary glands to produce more saliva. This may lubricate your airways, easing your cough. Honey may also reduce inflammation in the bronchial tubes (airways within the lungs) and help break up mucus that is making it hard for you to breathe.
Using lung tissue from pigs, experts treated grown bacterial infections mimicking those seen in CF patients with Manuka honey. The results showed that it was effective in killing antimicrobial resistant bacteria by 39% compared to 29% for antibiotics, whilst improving the activity of some antibiotics that were unable to function effectively by themselves, honey and antibiotics combined killed 90% of the bacteria tested.

also Thai food is full of sugar . Give it a go instead of being dismissive when someone is trying to help you . Pills won’t fix your whole life it will be short term only .

Don't need armchair doctors. I use for many years and it has prolonged my life and fixed airways. Bromhexine, from 7/11, Panapat Healthcare UECOF tablets, 1 before bedtime and especially Acetylsteine NAC long tablets. Been to so many doctors for 15 years, just keep your advice medically to yourself before asking what someone is using. I ahve the best two lung doctors in thailand so zip it.

  3. Checkpoints are set up to restrict mobility in the 13 provinces classified as dark-red zones including Bangkok and Chonburi (Pattaya City), to prevent COVID-19 from spreading to other areas.

CCSA Spokesman Dr Thaveesilp Visanuyothin said the checkpoints are being built and more security personnel will man them on all roads linking the 13 provinces with their neighbors from 19 July, to prevent interprovincial travel. Travelers from other provinces into the dark-red zones will also be strictly screened.

Do you seriously believe TMN cable gives a hoot about the balance of news channels coming out of the States. They are all garbage. TMN doesn't want to pay the copyright fees as stated in post#1. No great loss. Watch some proper British news channels instead without the opinion.

What do I care about English news with your shady bobble headed PM and those whacked out titled people who think they are superior to the rest of us.

Why clean (or even worry about) something that's not being used, and probably wont be used in the near future ?

There are places that are shutdown, mothballed etc all over Pattaya.

I really don't get the issue, its not being used. why worry that its not being kept in pristine condition.

I'm sure they can send in a cleanup/fixup team the day before it re-opens,

I imagine cleanup or maintenance crews maybe have more important priorities at the moment, like clean ups after covid outbreaks, cleaning vaccine or food hand out centres etc.

There are workers who clean the beach and sidewalks every day in Jomtien, this would take 10 minutes to sweep.

Cleaning up a playground has got to be on the bottom of the governments list at this point.

My suggestion would be to get some folks together who use it and go in and clean it yourselves.

They do this in poor areas of western countries.  So, make a contribution go clean the place up and show some pride in your community.

    Good idea.

If his respiratory disease is as serious as you imply, then he had as much chance of dying from the flu ( pre corona ) as from corona, had he not?

The air in Chiang Mai winter was so bad I was in ICU 2 years straight till I got out of there for the season. I can die from the flu or colds but for some reason don't get them anymore. I can surely die next day if I had covid.

Going to Bangkok for a vaccination is no different to coming here for any other reason, you still bring your germs and infections with you.  Just as you "don't know what people from Bangkok are taking to Pattaya, people in Bangkok don't know what you're bringing here, either.

I go to Bangkok for 3 hours not three days and only once in three years not every weekend. And you should start worrying when infected Tokyo sends home all the thousands of athletes to 200 countries, many who are positive and not vaccinated. Head for the hills or Guam.

  10. I am just adding this. This Pattaya mayor doesn't care about Jomtien at all, there are no gogo's or gambling or malls. He blusters about building Bali HI cruise ship docks, new Pattaya signs, a new skateboard park and he can't even find a key or clean a playground for an hour. He ruined Jomtien when he shifted all the boat storage to Jomtien with its horrendous traffic and ugliness years ago. Get rid of him and his mafia.

Are you saying that people from Bangkok are currently not allowed to enter Pattaya or it's just something that you don't like?   A bit like Bangkok residents not liking "people from Pattaya coming here because we don't know what they are bringing"?

Just worried. Governor can close beach, closes Dongtan beach road to motorbikes, why can't he close Chon Buri to outsiders unless have a valid reason to enter. I only go Bangkok to get my vaccine.

I understand that climbing stairs can be problematic for many people and my solution to walk up 30 stairs was a bit tongue in cheek. I wouldn't find it easy either, due to knee problems. All you can do is hope the lift is clean and maybe invest in a N95 mask.

Edit: due to your condition, the risk of death from covid-19 delta is very high. Maybe you could pick up a "spare air" cylinder from a dive shop, for riding the lift. They are small and portable, and maybe you could leave it at the front desk.

3M N95 mask is nowhere to be found in Pattaya any more. Online bad as well. I can spray Dettol in lift.

An excellent workout now that gyms and parks are closed. With that many floors in your building, the risk of an infected elevator is higher as people are spending more time in it. Lack of exercise is becoming a huge problem with lockdowns. This current one is already anticipated to last until the end of September.

That would be great if I had didn't have bronchiectasis.
