just my 2 cents
Do pedestrians have the right of way in Australia? In general, drivers are required by law to give way to pedestrians in the following situations: At pedestrian crossings and in shared zones. ... When the driver is turning left or right at an intersection the driver must give way to any pedestrian at or near the intersection who is crossing the road the driver is entering.- 1

As far as I am aware Thais must apply in Thailand for a Schengen visa.
I wanted to take my missus from the UK on a mini trip to Bruges But was told that she could not apply in the UK for a Schengen.
My nephew has been in Australia for many years on a student visa and is not a resident of Australia
he applied while he was in Australia with his aunt ( which was a PR at that time) an me being
Australian citizen and had no problems granted the first time and we spend 4 weeks in Germany

Well watching TV (not tvf) in the west if you drive at 60km/h and you are distracted for
only 2 seconds (texting, phone or what else) it will take 34 meters to stop so Thai drivers
drive faster than 60km/h how many km does it take them to stop

Normally applicants for Schengen Visas have to apply from their normal country of residence, not where they're visiting.
I think it's unlikey that your girlfriend will be able to apply for a visa whilst she's holiday in the UK, the website doesn't make it clear, if it does I can't find it.
The online application doesn't allow you to enter a non UK address, maybe she might be able to use you address, I really don't know.
Maybe give the Application Centre a call on 020 7605 6745 or the Swiss Consulate on 020 7616 6000
I am not sure your quote is correct about applying from their country of residence
My nephew which studies in Australia and is not a resident of Australia got his
Schengen visa in Australia when we visited Germany

I personally do not understand those that come here and marry someone about their same age.
God, if that is your goal why not stay home.
For me, 30 years younger is the minimum. More then that is better.

I disagree with the comment above! I am in my mid-60’s and find FB more of an asset than a burden ( true, I am not on it daily). Since I have taught at 5 international schools around the world, it has “reconnected” me with my former students who are now successful adults with various jobs. It is priceless to hear from them. Also FB has reconnected me with friends from my high school and university days. And with “Messager” it is private for communicating & I always have a good phone connection when calling (free). True, I am not a big fan of seeing pet or baby photos posted by my FB “friends” but we all go through various stages/ interests during our lives. (I’ll put up with posted baby or pet photos if my FB friends can handle my travel photos to Bali, Vietnam, Cambodia or Thailand-555.) Yes, my FB identity has been hacked a couple of times where a message was sent out to my FB friends stating that I needed “financial help” due to being stranded somewhere. But all my friends on FB are savvy enough not to believe this nonsense.
One must remember that FB is a bit of a facade... no one is going to post photos of their daily routine ( cleaning the toilet, taking out the garbage, or some other noneventful routine. ) -So FB can give one a feeling that everyone’s life is exciting and running smoothly... which is untrue for all of us. We all have personal challenges in our daily lives or weeks of boredom. Something to remember when looking at FB.
I agree I am 72 now and use FB to communicate with my friends all over the world
and use Messenger as well and I can always tell who I am talking to because I use
the camera

Klong Toey slum, Bangkok, ThailandIt's home to about 100,000 people, all crammed together in a pile of ramshackle constructions near the city's main port. “I didn't really have any opportunities,” he tells me. ... I was pretty much limited to what could happen inside the slum.” -

I was recently caught in Tops on one of their bag free days. This policy is idiocy. Three quarters of the store is packaged in plastic or supplied with plastic bottles. And they want to attack plastic bags, which are reused most often as trash can liners? Stupid. When I got to the check out line, Tops said no bags and offered me cardboard boxes. Cardboard boxes? How was I supposed to walk around the mall with cardboard boxes doing the rest of my shopping? A couple of plastic bags is easily manageable. But three or four unwieldy cardboard boxes is not, especially when one arm is already full of a large container of repaired shoes. I just left the food items on the Tops checkout counter and walked out. This is nothing but a virtue signalling feel good policy that has zero effect on a clean environment. If they meant it, they would be using glass bottles with return deposits.
whats so hard about that?

8 millionTobacco kills more than 8 million people each year. More than 7 million of those deaths are the result of direct tobacco use while around 1.2 million are the result of non-smokers being exposed to second-hand smoke. Around 80% of the world's 1.1 billion smokers live in low- and middle-income countries.
