  1. It was reported that traces of cocaine were found in his blood, this along with the fact that he failed to stop should (in the real world) be sufficient to secure a conviction, the cop that attempted to cover it up should/could be persuaded to give evidence which should go against him, all said and done (in the real world) he would be looking at a conviction along with a custodial sentence, but as I said 'In the real world'.

If the young girl can get what amounted to a suspended license and probation for killing 9 people he has a good chance of a similar punishment, the cop will be put in an inactive post, the dead cops family will be looked after job done!

I got to say that the initial piece of 'investigation' appears to have been well done, the tracing of the oil etc etc, after that the friendly cop put a spanner in the works but they overcame all that and managed to arrest the little brat albeit by appointment, credit where credit is due, the cops have done their bit now its up to the judicial system.

clap2.gifclap2.gif Very Well Said Sir. As much as I like to think I could, I could not have said it better my self. thumbsup.gif

  2. I had a friend do it 2 weeks ago (high season remember) 1800B DMK to Pattaya to his hotel. He is experienced in Thailand and a total cheap scrape. He told me he gave up after 20 cabs after crossing the air bridge to the public side.

1200 was the going rate a few yeas ago, even my corner store has jacked up prices on every product by 25% on Jan 1 2013.

If you can get 1200 baht after Jan 1, I salute you sir, not calling you a lire at all, as you may have been lucky of course. thumbsup.gif

  3. It is great to see so many options, I personally do use agoda as a customer. I have had issues twice out of many more bookings. Both these times I was frustrated no infuriated at the staff of the hotels attitude towards me. Sometimes in life, sh1t happens, this is a given, and seems to happen alot in Thailand, but in my opinion how you deal with the problem says allot.

Two times I have rang agoda in disgust, p1ssed of and angry over screw ups in rooms when I checked in. Imagine checking into a hotel and being told you have to change room for the 2nd night. The hotel staff were bad, when I rang agoda both of these times they said they would look into it, and both times within 15 mins I had the hotel manager sucking up to me begging me not to complain and the stupid problem was fixed. I see Thai Visa pushing them as an affiliate, click though here and share the jelly beans !!!!! wai2.gif

  4. If they are outsourcing you don't think their parts suppliers aren't too? I could quote you an example but it's veering too far off topic.

The Boeing manufacturing contracts do not allow unapproved outsourcing. If a component supplier outsources, then this must be declared to Boeing and the subcontractor must be vetted and is added to the manufacturers listing. Have you looked at the component manufacturer listing? Why make an allegation that you cannot substantiate?

Actually I did but it got deleted. biggrin.png

I wonder who makes the offending batteries?

    http://eandt.theiet....ner-battery.jpg

It certainly seems to be turning into a major issue.

John Goglia, a former member of the NTSB who led public hearings after ValuJet Flight 592 crashed into the Florida Everglades in 1996, killing all 105 passengers and crew members, said that problems with lithium batteries catching fire in laptops, cellphones and electric cars were well documented and “should have raised a flag with the FAA.”

“We’ve had a long-running issue with lithium batteries,” he said. “They’re not allowed to be carried on passenger airplanes.”

Goglia said weight was the most likely reason Boeing went with the 63-pound lithium battery, which is lighter and more powerful than other types.

I appears that the batteries are actually ok, the problem is how they are managed and protected by the aircraft's systems that seem to be the issue here.

  5. There is a difference between intentionally killing a snake and accidentally killing one.

This is very true, I can not argue one little bit with this. Actually what you say is like the law of physics that apply in the world, except Thailand.

You know, gravity is different in Thailand, just look at the Thai Science Minister, I forget his name, but his nick name is Mr Dim-Whit who actually believes in some theory about using boat propellers to control river flow cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gifgiggle.gif Some poeple daringly suggested it was actually about giving contracts to people to make propeller rafts and Gov fund to do it, I don't know about that and I actually believe in science and physics. coffee1.gif

Anyway, I got a bit side tracked, any snake in my yard, I am happy to become a dead snake. To make peace with the locals I then display the dead snake in a series of circles, for 0 and figure of eights for 8, and I can do other trick number as well, like a 1, 2, 6, 7, 9 very easily with the dead snake. The locals then buy lotto numbers based on the shapes I make with the dead snakes. The local temple supports it too, they claim some of the winnings when the locals are all cashed upwai2.gif ..... thumbsup.gifthumbsup.gif

  6. I quite enjoy watching the local fauna doing its business around my feet and above my head whilst immobilised.

Oh Cooked, you are such a wonder with words, I was enjoying my self until I read this...LOL

As werriod as it sounds, what you say is actually to true. This is one part of Thailand I just can not get my head around. I may as well join your club and enjoy it too !!! giggle.gif

Thanks for the inspiration Cooked. thumbsup.gif

  7. "And a lot of nice resturants have some dude giving you a back massage and offering you soap and what not ....... It's not the bathrooms ...... it's the places you go."

Yeah I love it when I am just trying to to a pee and some gay guy rubs me up wanting money. You seem to find it appealing. That's ok, It is what makes the world go round.

  8. 4) Lower Sukhumvit after 2am.

Place is a zoo full of ladyboys, drug dealing africans, crazy old german sex tourists etc. Have a beer at one of the road side stalls if only for the weird ambiance.

Personally I don't reconmend it, I have had some close calls with drugged out twits wanting to go me.

    Check out China Town.

  9. They best bit is there is no soap, and for some bizarre reason there is, no self respecting Thai will ever use it before the go and handle your food 'Khun Screwit'.

So I don't know why you are so up set with stinking bacteria feast pits when you eat it every day giggle.gif

  10. They're not terrorists. Chalerm said so.

I say they are terrorists. Who are you going to believe?

I don't know you from a bar of soap ... clearly I'd believe you before I'd believe Chalerm.

Did you notice int he days after this bombing attack in Bangkok by Iran sponsored nationals, that the Thai PM Yinluck changed the countries support for Islamic Politics in Palestine.

  11. It does kind of seem a shame that Thai Visa is so censored on subjects like this. I am not sure why, but I do understand it is a private website, so be it. But it would be nice to know who to avoid as owners change very often in Thai tourist places.

  12. Thanks, as a general comment, Sushi sucks in Thailand, some of the best Sushi I have had is in Vancouver, Canada. When hey use wild samon, it is really amazing. I was bought up on farmed garbage.

I don't go down that part of Pattaya very much, but always looking for an excuse giggle.gif , is there a good place to park near by? Can you please post or pm me with better instruction how to find this joint to give it a go?

    Thank you wai.gif
