AZ, but I would have taken the Sinovac if that was all that was on offer, I take the view that limited protection is better than none.
I'm aware that many Health Care staff have received Sinovac, a mate of mine in Pattya received his a couple of weeks ago.- 5

There would be uproar in Thailand, if foreigners were getting vaccinated ahead of the old and frail Thai nationals - no matter the source. I am aware there are some Chinese getting vaccinated, but they don't count. lol
I'm a Brit and I have an appointment to receive my vaccine on the 7th June, my Thai wife couldn't register as she's under 60.

I registered last Wednesday, I received a phone call on Friday to collect my appointment card on Saturdy, I did so and have an appointment for my vaccination at Hua Hin Hospital on 7 June, I'm British.

Highly likely to be sinovac of course. I declined.
I'm keeping my dog out of this fight for the time being.
I don't follow the Vax news much lately because it just goes in circles. I don't need the drama.
I stumbled accross a pop up Vaccine Registration Desk in a shopping mall in Hua Hin on Wednesday afternoon, hardly anyone there.
I registered and was advised that I would receive a phone call in due course, I wasn't holding my breath.
Late on Friday I got a call asking me to return and collect my appointment card.
I went yesterday afternoon, it was quite busy but very well managed with a numeric queueing system, I was able bypass the queue as I was just collecting an appointment card, and was given my already written card in a minute or so.
My appointment is for 7 June at the Hua Hin Hosptal, they advised me that I'd be getting the AZ vaccine.
I was pleasantly surprised by the whole process, I just hope that statement doesn't come back to bite me in the bum.- 7

I cannot see how a British passport took 5 months to renew.
Maybe not, but maybe the lads father had other things on his mind.
It would be interesting to see if the UK media showed an interest in running this sad story, can you imagine the storyline, Brit suffers life threatening injuries and is threatened with hefty fines by Thai Immigration because it's medically unsafe to leave the country.
I do wonder if they would publish the UK Embassies stock reply that "we are aware of this case and giving the family Consular support".

I don't agree, I'm pretty sure that they know the word simple, and are also aware that making things simple doesn't mean that the applicant isn't complying with the appropriate rule.
I'm convinced that that many IO's like to be as difficult as they possibly can, because they have the power to be so, I can think of no other reason why the "rules" change so often when the Police Order doesn't.

I for one pay to the UK government and have contributed to NI
Good answer.
Those over 60 in the UK no longer make NI contributions, and those of us with UK Pensions pay tax to the UK Government on those pensions, I certainly pay hundreds of Pounds a month tax on my pensions, and I'm not alone.- 3

"Everyone associated with the Krystal and Emerald clubs would be investigated and prosecuted including owners and stakeholders.
Matters were less expedient regarding the investigation into the activities of the Thong Lor police themselves.
A committee of inquiry has been set up and some progress has been made though further evidence has been requested"
Almost word for word what was said following the Santika Club fire back in 2009, that was also under the jurisdiction of the Thong Lor Police.

1. I'm pretty sure when taking an order the waitress can take an order for ONE drink each with it.
2. Set a time of say 45 minutes per person/family - can write a time to leave by on the order ticket they give you.
It's not brain surgery
And how do you think the waiting staff will handle the situation when they're confronted by "diners" who demand more and more drinks and become volotile when they're refused. Thai people as a rule don't like confrontation, and neither should they need to be subjected it to it?
What about when there's a change of shift or a number of waiting staff, are they going to need to keep a tally of who's drinking what?
I think many of of us have seen groups of people in restaurants and bars who get loud when the alcohol takes hold, maybe this is the reason for the ban, I think it's not unresonable.
It may not be brain surgery, but have you really thought it through?

this post is about a proposed ferry service, that is, by sea, not air, hence the response.
But the thread heading includes the words "uncertainty over future of Hua Hin flights" I presumed that meant that the thread was about flights as well the now defunct ferry, hence my decision to answer the earlier post about flights in and out of HHQ.
As a matter of interest Air Asia are now advertising flights from Hua Hin again to Chiang Mai and Udon Thani, scheduled to resume on 2 April.

We are not talking air here, talking much slower sea. Not enough point to point freight, that either originates in Bangkok or Lam Chabang ,or needs to transit the Bangkok distribution centres. Sattahip is not on either route. Not enough of a catchment area for cars. It was predictable that the numbers would just not add up. Hua Hin by air makes no economic sense at all. Too short a route for the aircraft available .
But I was answering the question "Air service.... Does anyone remember a flight landing in Hua Hin? ", which I do, I've flown in and out of Hua Hin to Udon Thani, Kuala Lumpur and even Bangkok.
I do agree that a flight from Hua Hin to Utapao wouldn't be viable, but that wasn't what I was answering.

@Stuart FoxYou asked about moving to the UK a couple of years ago, I think the rules are still the same.

not a surprise at all.
Why?
We've flown on the Hua Hin - Udon route a couple of times, packed every time.
We were due to fly on Friday, now have to fly from Bangkok.

Yes, the most important thing here is that the person who did it and the bank are never named.
How else are they supposed to find the other victims?

Another route may be having millions of baht in the bank and being one of their "wealth banking" customers, but I wouldn't know about that.
That is certainly one answer, not necessarily the only correct one, and you've suggested another option.
This has been a regular topic over the years and a number of members have reported being accepted for a bog standard unsecured credit card without a corresponding deposit, a work permit or having an credit card piggy backed onto the back of a wife's account.

that's not TVF 'support' with a technical explanation. It was Cossy being helpful from his own experience. Big big difference.
I wasn't actually aware who 'support' actually was, thank's for the clarification..

well the last people to ask are TVF support, who are acting like rabbits in headlights, silent ones that is. They seem to have no answers, or advice, on a website that is deteriorating by the week.
I assume you're not including the Mod who offered you some advice, and who you publically thanked?

I may be a bit thick and I certainly struggle when it comes to understand the inner workings of the Internet, but what I am really struggling to grasp is why I can access TVF via a VPN in Singapore but I cannot access it easily using my TOT connection, surely everything comes down the same TOT pipe.
Like others I have to make a few attempts before I can log on, then as soon as I click on a link I'm back to 522, I really do wonder if it's worth it.
I do pay for a VPN, but only on my laptop, I don't really want to, or feel the need, to have on my tablet and phone just to access the TVF.

Thai govt reaffirms mass vaccinations to begin on June 7, enough doses for everyone

At a pop up registration centre in a local shopping mall here in Hua Hin, there are two malls here both with registration desks.
The registration form asked for a passport number, they didn't ask for a copy of my passport bio page or the page with my immigration status.
