    Not at all.

    Both 150 cc

    Both CVT

OK Yamaha 4v and Vespa 3v, but both more than PCX. Maybe the extra valve is for marketing? 3 might be enough?

Will only be used for urban, no multi-lane riding.

I'm going to "build" OK assemble a geezer Q-Bike, albiet slow in motorbike terms.

Just going to work 10-15 mins and shopping/eating in the evenings. So maybe lighting should be factored in?

I was reacting to the English. ?  "Not sure" and "indecisive" has nearly same meaning. ?

Many years ago, I was asked by a large Thailand university to help teach school teachers the Western way of learning. I traveled to many provinces for these talks and met tons of elementary and high school teachers. On one trip a driver picked me up in a homemade car and drove from Bangkok to Udon by the back roads. I heard later that he was the president of the university.

My lesson was simple. Build a paper airplane using any design that will fly the farthest. The class was divided into small groups and work began.  After the first contest one aspect always stood out. All of these adult students had built the same style of airplane and they all flew about the same distance. When asked why they did not try to build something new, their response was always about the same, ’we only know one way to do it.’

They were then sent back to their groups to try and build a paper airplane different from what their original teacher had shown them.  Some of the new designs crashed while others flew a good distance.

In reality, I did not care how far their paper airplane flew. I was just trying to get my students to think for themselves. Tough.

I teach an electronics class. In the recent pbl type of assignment, the goal was to make an inverter ckt using discrete transistors. They had verbal instructions, several models  and they have been taught how to do assembly. In the finished products, I could see vastly different steps and methodologies used.  So individual creativities cand be fostered. They just need to be forced out of their comfort zones.(to be fair many of the students copied the model exactly, including mistakes from the previous students if there were any.... :/. Not ideal, but the work of the creative ones were very encouraging :).  )

  3. 300k is roughly $9k,  less than the cost of a used car.  Thats not a lot for someone from an affluent family.  I predict troubles ahead.  Over and under is 6 months for that 300k :D

Having said that, I hope the dude makes it.  and for the family, yeah, i think most of us knows someone in our own family that's a little like this. :/  but they are family, what can you do?    *shrug*

  4. I dont want to be inappropriate on the wrong day.

Can someone point me to a Calendar of important days during the month of October?

Or list the days and its significance?

And what services (government type lol) will be and will not be available?

    Thanks.

Buying a mobile phone and getting a prepaid card is cheaper, so maybe you should take this into consideration. Then you also don't need any english speaking staff ;)

thats the plan I have now Jack.  thought i'd try getting a postpaid kind.  A new adventure and get a phone at a discount :D.  Thanks for the reply Jack.

Theres one as you get off the BTS at Siam. You need to exit on the side that is heading towards Mo Chit. Not sure of the exit number but its signed outside on a big signpost. Downstairs is the True Move café, you need the second floor if I remember rightly. Been there twice and good English with 3 different people.

Thanks!  Yep I saw that location on google maps and wondered how the service was.  I'll take a look tomorrow and let you know how it goes :)

    Open the link.

    My mistake.  Let me correct.

"sarcasm on"  I'm confused, the title and article seems to be disjointed. "sarcasm off".

I dont think they were even trying to do a Yahoo style bait and switch.  I believe the writers didn't even check to see if the article title and summary were coherent and consistent.

If the driver would have kept driving and then fell asleep and crashed with injuries and possible fatalities to the passengers and the driver stopped the crash from happening, the passengers would have been grateful .

If I was on a bus and the driver was falling asleep, I would be extremely grateful for him to stop and kick me off the bus

You weren't on the bus :)  I've noticed that people are all high and mighty, until they are in the situation.  Not you of course.  others. :)
