recently overnighted in hua hin (or as a thai friend says, thonglor by the sea) on a drive up from suratthani.
avoid soi bintabaht and environs unless you want to see where skanks go to expire.
A mate and i spent an hour watching the yaba dealing lads and the ladies on the pipe dancing out front of some sort of karakoke live music bar just up from the 7--11 there. we were back at the hotel and asleep by midnight with no complaints.

To the OP: I don't have an opinion about paying sin sod or not, it is a cultural difference that you have to deal with together as you have to respect their culture but they should also respect your own culture.
But offering 20 baht was a bit tactless, even if it was only to the GF.
tactless or no, it may very well have been the best thing that has ever happened to him.
look at it any way you wish, but the woman in question breached a trust by repeating something in jest to her mother. If is is happening at this stage, it can only get worse after the ceremony.
At least he has had a chance to clearly see where the lines are drawn.

Washington ties, could the topic title be any more misleading?

where does it say anything about a 42 baht ticket?
edit: oops. in bold below the headline

good lord, reading through the comments you would think the OP owes you lot a living.
how hard is it to go to the only kfc on the street, and walk 100 meters following the signs?

Isn't Udon a city with 300 000+ people?
Surely there is a good night life there.
In Khon Kaen with prox the same seems to have a fairly ok night life.
khon kean is great, we had a bachelor party there for no reason other than the fact that it was not bangkok, and no one had any affiliation with the place other than the fact a freind had passed through for work and been taken out on the town by the local cops and loved it.
around 20 of us 35-45 flew in for 3 nights. never forget it. the farang bars are minging, but the thai clubs are brilliant.

id give her points for honesty.

The OP's first born child ?I am a little curious though as to what you are offering in exchange for the accommodation !!!
i was not aware that rumpelstiltskin had property in thailand

We got 5000 per month discount for a longer term rent. In our place in Bangkok we were paying 25k per month, there was an identical place a few floors down for 17k, so we gave notice. When asked why we were leaving we told the owner who promptly discounted to 17k. Might as well try.
i suspect you may need to revisit the math portion of this post

How about a pic of the burglar?
are you too thick to follow the link provided?
as regards the op, it seem that no money, no honey relates to the tom/dee scene as well.

How much do you pay down there?there are virtually no tourists my end of 11. I suspect you have an opinion of the soi having ventured no further than 50% up it.
as regards your question:
-central location
-proximity to sky train
-variety of pubs/clubs/bars within a short walk
-2 grocery stores within walking distance
-ability to get anything i want day or night
-ability to get a taxi in under 5 mins day or night
-atmosphere
-large garden
-2 bedroom house
...snip...
2wimming pools i can use with my gym membership (not telling where)
-free grocery delivery
thats just a few of my reasons
you wouldnt believe me if i told you
Try us.
it is rude to even ask.
suffice to say i have been in the same place for about 15 years now, and have never had a rent increase, though if they were to double my rent it would still be very reasonable.

this photo is more typical of the plant, the leaves show the parasite unique to this plant, which makes every leaf on the tree fall off. I have three in my garden in bangkok, and more often than not they are leafless

I once lived near KaiTak!
Those birds really came in for a landing.
It was often China Airlines that ended up in the drink or upside down though.
Now that I think of it, maybe the China Airlines pilots back then were on the drink.
I don't think there are any China Airline pilots taking off over my head here since I have been watching.
Everything seems to be straight and level.
kai tak was a trip

i am assuming that this post refers to homeownership who announced assets of around 19 million sterling.
it is my belief that the man is either crass, ignorant, delusional, lying or any and all combinations of the three.
he might just be a braggart with only 18 million... or perhaps 17.5 million Sterling.
id file that under crass and ignorant
