Being Thai, they tried to sell me EMS (the most expensive air service) - they could understand English well enough until I mentioned the words, "slower" and "cheaper" then they had no idea what I was saying.

Luckily an old Thai man there wanted to show off his English so translated for me. They looked unamused but he told me, don't use EMS, use Thai Parcel Post.

Price order:

EMS - air - 3-5 days

Thai Parcel Post - air - 2-3 weeks

SAL Thai Parcel Post - air - 1 month (budget air service)

Surface mail options (old Thai man said don't use them, they suck and take 2-3 months also)

My box weighed just under 14kgs. Dimensions, chose box Number 5 from the PO, I think, 35x40x45cm

I chose SAL service (cheap air 1 month) and was shocked when she said 4500 baht!!

I don't call that cheap - that's about £90. Always so annoying when it's just your own possessions you are returning.

I consider that 3-4 times what it should actually cost to send 14kg home on a month service.

It seems Post Offices worldwide are colluding to rip off the public like never before, the UK is even worse.

I wrote down the other prices to give you an idea of the cost but lost the paper like an idiot!

It was something like this for my 14kg box:

EMS - 6000 baht

Thai Parcel Air - 5000 baht

SAL Thai Air - 4500 baht

Sea/Land - 3500 baht

There you have it.

Nowhere. It's a dump.

Well, I used to be when I was younger. I had no regard for anyones feelings, not even my own. My parents treated each other very badly and rather than get divorced they stayed together and made the family suffer. Interesting none of my brothers or sisters are married either.

I also hated myself for a significant period of my life when I was younger, and it took me a long time to make sense of things I had to endure growing up.

Now I met a beautiful girl who loves me I've completely changed. We've been together 4/5 years and I have absolutely interest in cheating on her or having numerous partners in a night or a week. We will marry this year.

It has become so utterly clear to me how the world really works now since educating myself in these matters.

The elite, in all countries, from central bankers down, use their power to create money out of thin air to have total control over who gets into government. Red or blue, the public is given the illusion of choice, they vote for one or the other, it doesn't matter, as the same people behind the scene stay in power as "advisors".

They need government power as government power has the LAW on its side, even the bankers cannot make the laws, they know this, so is is paramount that they control government. This also gives them influence over the army and over police and all laws, including taxation laws.

These people then print money and swap it for IOUs (bonds) - the money is made up out of nothing but the bonds are real. Why? Because they are backed by the nation. Who funds the nation? The tax payer. Who controls that money? Government. Who controls government? The Hi-So, the elite / bankers / financiers.

As it plays out in the US, so it plays out everywhere in the world, including Thailand. These people in government enforce laws that make it illegal for citizens not to pay taxes. They then divert these taxes into their own bank accounts through public projects, housebuilding, road building, corruption and laundering, whatever.

They are not stupid, that's for sure.

OK, if a species is known to be endangered, I think a spear fisherman should know that and not target those species - but if it's a fish that's not endangered and he eats the fish - I don't see the problem.
