There will be a lot of people watching this case very closely to see the outcome. If it goes the wrong way for the expat the Thais will be shooting themselves in the foot again. However, it will depend whether there was any hanky-panky business on behalf of the wife!

I agree with many of the above sentiments. We need to get Thailand opened up to its residents before even considering allowing free movement of tourists. A start would be to allow restaurants to fully open, ie, serving both food and booze, and things will move on from there. Many older tourists come to Thailand to enjoy the good Thai and international food here.

Anyone over 60 should have been vaccinated by now so there is no such thing as queue jumping. Let's just get everybody done as quickly as possible.

Which planet is this guy living on?? Those who are willing and able to be vaccinated should be vaccinated, no matter what age or nationality. Its a no-brainer, just get everybody done as quickly as possible.

So where can my 53 year old Filipina wife get vaccinated?

Not sure how they are going to convince all these wealthy expats to move here when anybody under 60 who is healthy has no chance of getting the vaccine until next year. This Government is delinquent in that it has not allowed to date the import of vaccines by the private hospitals. Many expats are ready and willing to pay for their shots. One can only conclude that this government wants to make as much money out of its people before letting any expat pay somebody else for it. My Filipina wife was unable to get vaccinated when I got my shot 4 weeks ago (being over 75), the supervisor stating that there were only enough shots for the Thais. This whilst SinoPharm is exporting Astra Zenica to other Asian countries. Ironic that Thais in the Philippines are receiving free vaccination without any barriers. Shameful!
