Usually the whole immediate family return to the crematorium (at the Wat) the day after the funeral to retrieve the ashes, and coins (that had been placed in the mouth of the deceased prior to cremation). The family will have already decided upon the final resting place and will take the remains to their chosen location.

Great. possibly an element of truth in there somewhere! However, how about refuting The Truth outlined by Cartalucci. I think that would be a difficult task.

Unfortunately, for the election observers to be capable of commenting on the fairness or otherwise of an election the observers would have had to do far more than they actually did.
Vote buying is endemic, but is also done well away from any "observers".
Thailand's version of Democracy is flawed. Thais seem to think that it is a vote for their team to gain power and rape the country for the benefit of their team only. The concept of altruistic public service is lost on most.
Not one Thai I discussed the issues with felt any form of injustice as a result of the coup. They did, however, expect to receive a minimum monthly salary of 15,000THB if they were a Uni graduate, and their kids expected a free tablet, as promised by PT in their 2011 election manifesto. They still wait for each promise to be fulfilled. Maybe because in this area the population didn't vote for the right team.
Sadly, your definition of Corruption is, in fact, the popular definition of Democracy here in Thailnd.
If you seriously believe that because "PT is still the governing party is proof enough that they did not get involved in wide spread vote buying", any further discussion with you would be futile. Such naivety is child-like.

If a surveyor has a copy of the Chanote, and if the land has physical Chanote posts, it is easy for you to place your own pegs for each one rai plot, from dimensions that the surveyor would supply you with. Surveyor doesn't need to visit the site. If the land is reasonably flat and clear all you'd need is a surveyor's tape and a few pegs, (and know how to triangulate) and you and 'er indoors could wrap it up in a couple of early mornings before it gets hot.
If I wasn't a 16hr drive away from you I'd do a site visit. I could still draft out a plan for you, but would require a copy of the Chanote plan. Don't need a copy of the full page of the Chanote, just the plan and the scale to which the plan is drawn. No charge.....if that helps.

Does the land already have a Chanote? If so, a surveyor could carry out the survey from the Chanote Plan and provide you with measurements taken from the existing Chanote markers to delineate each one rai plot. Cost about 3,000THB without a site visit.

Nothing occult, it is common practice and completely visible. A sign of "Blessing" by a monk.

In Thailand Buddha is in control. It was little brother's "time". So sad for family and friends.
No recourse available at law. Fortunately Thailand is not as litigious as parts of the west.

So, what did all these people actually do to win?

I'd say it is perfectly feasible to live at a Temple for a couple of months in Thailand. I have lost count of the number of times I have been invited to stay at a Temple in my travels.
I certainly would not arrange this through any commercial organisation - waste of money. Maybe people don't appreciate how easy it is to stay at a Temple. Thais do it all the time. There are usually several non-local Thais staying at our local village Temple at any one time.
For a couple of months ... no problem. Just get a Visa and arrive.
However, there is a difference between staying at a Temple living among monks, and becoming a monk. Not knowing Thai language you would struggle to become a monk.
But, I stress, there is absolutely no need to pay more than a very small amount for your "keep".
PM me. If you're serious I could fix it. No charge.

My question is can I just seal over the wire with cement again or do I need to install conduit to put it in?
Yes, you can. Using conduit is safer, however. The biggest problem you will experience - whichever method you use- will be patching up the cement to match the surrounding surface, if you are concerned about aesthetics.

I have used this system on projects in the UK and Europe, for internal plastering on system building panels such as Structherm Panels. A similar system -with a different mix- is also used for external proprietary rendering also used on system building panels, but I have never seen it in Thailand.
The equipment I used was manufactured by Greco. A couple of years ago I saw Greco had a stand at the Architect Expo in Bangkok and a manufacturer's agent in Bangkok. I didn't check to see what products they were promoting though.
If you want a quick easy solution to internal plastering, without employing a plasterer and want to D.I.Y. I would suggest gypsum dry-lining either directly onto the infill masonry, or onto an aluminium frame which leaves a useful void in which to run services and insulation.

Lenses only, using own existing frames, with scratch resistant anti-reflection coating and varifocal light reactive plastic lenses just cost my wife 3,900Thb. Same day service.

It is a misconception that The Buddha was a human being, not a god, and the religion he founded has no place for the worship of gods.

..don’t think so….!!!

The longest dimensions should run along an East-West axis as this will minimise the exposure of external classroom walls to direct sun. 2m minimum overhanging eaves on the north and south elevations of a pitched roof with a vented gable at the west and east, each with long 3m overhanging lean-to roof slopes below the ventilation providing shade to the west and east walls if site conditions allow. At least try to shade the east wall, as the west wall will be less of a problem if the west rooms are not used after 4pm.

What? Unknown monster? Utter tripe. It is clearly a Fin Whale. It has not been "dug" from the ground, but has been hoisted from a mud beach.
A Fin Whale is the second largest type of whale. Because it is one of the fastest swimming mammals its body is long and very slender with few markings and is usually not affected by parasites. ..hence its smooth appearance.
How very sad that it now suffers such an undignified end, despite having no doubt survived the despicable avaricious attention of Japanese "scientific" whalers for many years. (How do the Japanese manage to get away with such behaviour?)
Interesting to see how Cambodians look when they are "ecstatic".!!!
