Right after he passes me he throws his goods into one of the open freezers and walks out of the shop. Why buy this in the first place than ? These are fesh goods which can not be resold again.
?
This happens in UK a lot too, I wish they would throw the brain dead out but it sounds like they are deporting them to LOS!

Disappointed to find that this topic was not about Shags and Tits. But then....

Why are we all on Thai Visa?

I have to agree with Beetlejuice, most of the farang ex pats I encountered in Pattaya last month would not make eye contact and just seemed to pretend they didn't see me. I had the distinct impression they were wary of me.
On the other hand I was introduced to one or two ex pats in bars by the girls and they were fairly friendly but still a little stand offish.
Seems like they are a little afraid of new faces in town, though they weren't to know that me and my Thai Gf were just on holiday.

Are birds going cheap? I hear Big C had some and they flew off the shelves!

Re #155 above: My TGF has never asked me for a penny either; doesn't speak English and wouldn't know what the word meant. Then again, with your wife I guess she finished nursing school before you met her.
Addendum: So what if you met your (future) wife years ago and she said: "I want to go to nursing school but my family and I do not have the money for me to go." Would you have said: "Sorry, cookie. I need to be able to say down-the-road that my TGF/wife has NEVER asked me for even a penny (or satang), so come back later after you finish school and have started working."
It's been said before I guess but didn't any of Thai Visa guys' western girlfriends ever ask for money? Any divorcees had almost all their assets ripped off by the Western ex?

I think you meant to say ''Petrol is 1.40 ( One Pound Forty a LITRE )
Yes, you are right.... Wrote this late at night, huddled up as the arctic wind howled at my window, dreaming of Thailand

I'm still living in UK, I was in Thailand a few weeks ago, it is still a LOT cheaper than the UK and a much better lifestyle.
I'm paying £75 a month for gas and electric and that's with the cheapest company. The prices are rising every six months. The Winters are getting colder and longer. It's Easter this coming weekend and the temperature today is 3C with windchill factor feels like -1C. Therefore my heating is on higher, longer and costing me more money.
Petrol is £1.40 plus per gallon and rising. Wages are not going up, people are losing their jobs and benefits are being cut. The Government are slowly privatising the NHS so we will have to start paying for elements of that too before long.
Pension payouts are getting smaller whilst we have to pay more and work longer to get this reduced amount. Pensioners are getting poorer.
The weekly shopping bill is rising too plus council tax goes up every year.
Interest rates are flat, banks are paying themselves huge bonuses with tax payers' bailout money but not loaning businesses anything.
Are you sure you would be better off here? I've only skimmed the surface of what's happening to the average person in the UK. It is not good

My Girlfriend got a friend's watch repaired whilst we were in Pattaya for a reasonable price. Was told in UK it would have to be sent to Switzerland!
The guy who did it was in Big C, second road on a concession stand on ground floor. Hope that helps

It's different to the UK plus sunshine, live cheaply, the girls love Ferang, easier going lifestyle but I do understand that a man could lose himself there if he is not careful.....

The one thing that annoyed me about the Russian Tourists in Pattaya when I was there in Feb was that they spread themselves out on one side of a taxi and would rather see you stand than shift up. It's only if you force yourself between them that they will move.
On the crowded ferry to Ko Larn there was plenty of seating space at the sides but we had to force ourselves in as the Russians preferred to have their back packs on the seat. There were some older people struggling to find seats too but the Ruskies did not care.
Just to balance things out, I have Russian musician friends on the Internet and they are very generous and friendly.
Clash of cultures eh

I just came back from Thailand and flew economy with Eva Air. I booked last August and it cost me £580ish return. Booked with UK company on Internet. Holiday Genie if I'm allowed to mention their name?

Hi, I'm new here. Have been lurking for a couple of months. I live in Wales, UK and have a Thai girlfriend who lives here too. Gf daughter is coming here for a few months and would like an iPad/mini.
When she returns to Thailand will she be able to use the UK registered Apple ID there without problem?
Cheers
