  1. Submitted my 90 day report on line: 09 August and same date received: "Pending" etc., from CW immigration. Actual date to report: 23 August. Still awaiting. Assume I not hear by 23 August. Can I wait another 7 days( (to 30 August) before i need to actually go to immigration to do it in person without the risk of being fined? Or wait until the pending decision is made even if beyond 30 August? Appreciate any input.
  2. May i know what date did u submit you submit your 90 day report? And was it for CW? Thanks!
  3. well to be fair to me. Half a sleep...put coffee in cup added a bit of milk then put what i thought was cold water in the cup...took a taste...ugh! My own fault! Lol
  4. The other day at the 7/11 check out I was offered to buy one and get one free, so I did. I thought it was water. I used it for my coffee. The taste was awful! Then I realized; it isn't 7 water its 7-up!!! Entirely my own fault and looking at the other side of the label in small print it does say 7 up in English. "let the buyer beware!" ????
  5. Unless and until we get acceptable evidence all these UFO stories are fake and nonsense.
  6. Who knows? Who cares? Maybe u become one of the endless mean grumpy old Dudley's living in Pattaya....
  7. I think the woman has many customers and she gave the Rolex to her Thai boyfriend. She misunderstood him when he said to her "I wanna watch"
  8. Departure tax: revenue dept say No see: https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/2565351/no-plan-to-revive-exit-tax
  9. So can someone explain. The scammers posing as from the Revenue dept must have persuaded the victim to give them her bank account details in such a way so they could get her money?
  10. I want to have a few day soon in Pattaya from BKK. I need to avoid the water throwing (allergies ) What date does this finish in Pattaya? Thank you.
  11. OP: can you please clearly state the reasons why the Insurance company are refusing to pay?
  12. Thank you Sheryl. My insurance card says "ER accident 20,000". The insurance company has only allowed 20k for the accident and other expense pertaining to the accident already disallowed. My policy is generally in patient only but for emergency the 20k. Cost was almost 23k for the accident after i went to a well known Emergency dept at a hospital in Bangkok.. After a fall from which I hit my head and broke bone in hand the charge includes for brain scan and hand x ray etc. Seems my policy only allows 20k per accident and other expenses not covered. I am now using a respectable licensed agent and they also confirm that the insurance company will only pay 20k per accident hence me posting here seeking additional coverage. Though my agent and my research concurs with you that my age is against me in getting a new policy but maybe I can increase the accident amount when my current policy renews in November. The good news (or is it bad news) is that if I have another separate accident thar revives the 20k! -Confirmed by my agent. ????
  13. Of course can use agent for annual extension but applicant needs to attend in person.
  14. Is it being said here that can use an agent to do annual retirement renewal? Without the need to attend in person? If so that is news to me ! The OP in his first post refers to 90 day report which many of us do on line and it take 5 minutes and no agent involved.
  15. I currently have a renewable medical and accident insurance issued here in Thailand. The ER accident insurance is for 20,000 baht per accident. After a recent accident I want to increase the 20,000 but cannot do so if at all until renewal of my policy this November. Can anyone recommend a reputable company that can offer me an accident policy coverage for accidents with a higher amount than what I currently have. With a reasonable yearly premium. Seems that most accident policies exclude over 70's, Any advice is appreciated.
  16. Thank you Matt Daeng. I was simply asking in theory what happens to my 90 day online In the event I do go away from Thailand but ignore my trip in the 90 day on line entry. Seems you would advise I take the 90 days from the day I re-enter Thailand, and put in the new date for entering Thailand and the system will adjust my reporting on line dates accordingly? And there will be not confusion with IO...right? PS: On a separate issue could it be that Thai immigration online no longer issue 15 day reminders for reporting online because of resetting the 90 day dates?
  17. Can take 5-10 min to report on line, so why not. Seems resetting the 90 day reporting date may confuse Thai immigration in their computer system. But tell me what you think?
  18. You are in a marriage that is not working, and you are miserable. even when living with your child and wife. There is a saying about when you are digging a hole that makes matters worse then get out of the hole as quick as you can. Do not keep digging. Accept you will lose your child. Most laws let children stay with the mother. Find a way for your wife and child to return to Thailand. If it means you will be paying, then accept that is the penalty for you getting out of the mess. Maybe speak to a professional e.g. lawyer who can guide you to do things legally in a way that protects your interests as well as safeguarding the rights and well-being of your child and wife.
  19. This may be a silly question and apologies if already answered above. But: here it is: Doing my 90 days on line report has proven- for me at least- to be mostly trouble free and easy. Now I have a re-entry permit. So If I go abroad and return that resets my 90 days. However, what if I simply want to keep to the 90 day on line dates and ignore the trip away? Is that possible or would it cause problems?
  20. I am getting cyrosurgery treatment for lesions on my head which if not treated could develop into cancer.I am treated at a major hospital in BKK which involves a few seconds of freeze time on my head. I go to a treatment room but am apparently out patient when getting treatments. My insurance coverage says OPD "not covered" but my doctor says the insurance should pay as the treatment is medically necessary. Any input?
  21. Surely immigration only concerned that there is 800k bht in your bank account as shown in bank book. In your case they ain't concerned with where the money comes from. See what ubonjoe says above.
