Must admit I wouldn't want too fly with a Captain who flouts aviation regulations but each too their own I guess.

I am pretty sure your bags would be checked in all the way thru and you have to go to the transit desk to get a new boarding card. I do the same route every year but always go to BKK and clear customs and get my bags first. Then just go upstairs and check in again with Bangkok Airways. To be honest you really don't have to do that but I prefer to know that my bags arrived at BKK ok. Just a preference.
"Then just go upstairs and check in again" ... No.
You go to the transfer-desk, get your new boarding-pass & sticky-label from Bangkok-Airways there, and then go through transfer-Immigration & a security-check, which then leads to the Domestic-gates. Collect hold-luggage at Samui, and clear Customs there.
Show your B-A boarding-pass, to use the free B-A lounge, near their gates.
As I said, I prefer to collect my bags and clear customs in BKK, hence once you have done that you go upstairs to check in again at departures. Thanks.

The OP asked for advice on business class and those who reply get accused of being rich guys, questioned how they pay for their ticket and asked not to deride those in economy.
Very strange.

Just wondering if anyone has flown business with Ethiopian Airlines to London. They fly to Bangkok and London, but their online booking engine does not show a direct Bangkok to London option. They seem to have a modern fleet so it would be a bit of excitment to fly with them.
They don't fly direct, it's only via Addis. ET are an expanding and modern airline.

Well i am not rich but I like to make the holiday start as soon as you get in the aircraft. If I choose to spend money that way then it's my choice.

Airline: Finnair
Ticket Price: GBP 1400.00
How Purchased - Direct on website
Dates: Nov 2013
Class of Service: Business
Route: LHR-HEL-BKK / BKK-HEL-LHR
Aircraft Type: A330Seat Configuration (i.e. 3/4/3) 2/2/2 out and a mixture of 1/2/1 & 2/2/1 back
Stopover City (If any): HEL
Check-in Location (good or bad?): Good check-in at both LHR & BKK
Immigration (good or bad?): Fast track no problem
Excess Bag Fees (if any): Nil
Lounges Used: LHR, HEL & BKK. All were fine
Limo Service Provided: N/A
In-flight Entertainment: Good except sound quality on return flight.
In-flight Cabin Service (good or bad?): Good
Seat Comfort: Just about ok outbound and excellent inbound. Old aircraft to BKK so seat not fully flat. The sleep position is very odd and uncomfortable.Inbound was an updated A330 and fully flat.
Food Quality: Good on all flights
On Time Performance: Good
Comments: Normally fly on EVA in premium but wanted business this year and the cost of AY was excellent. The transit in HEL was only 2 hours so not too much of aproblem. The older aircraft outbound was a bit of a pain as seats not flat. Not up to the standard of BA or BR business but this was excellent value for money and would
use them again

Just been to BKK and back on Finnair. The cost was excellent (GBP 1400). Service very good and it was a decent business class experience.
Only problem was that going out was an older aircraft so no flat bed. Was ok on way back.
Definitely value for money.

Excellent game, was settling for a point but more than happy to get the gift of 3 points.
You need a bit of good fortune to beat City.

Perhaps her Dad saw her post and promptly stopped her from going.

just a thought though.
If Mourhino was prepared to give mata plus money ....
Intriguing.
My opinion would be no deal.

I thought JT would be missing the Thai leg of the tour, what with him spearheading the English bowling attack and getting 10 wickets against the Aussies, fair play old dog.
There is probably more chance of that happening than Stevie G lifting the PL trophy..........

Never flown on them but got a great deal for this Nov from LHR to BKK.
Paid £1400.00 return.

I thought Chec was shocking at times and last season was probably his worst. Jose,s decision not to bring back Courtois may come back and haunt him imhoI must disagree about Cech. I thought he had a great season.
Just don't see that at all to be honest mate. Thought he had a sound season.
Don't think you get 3rd place with a poor goalie but hey it's all about opinions.

-
You say that but last season we hardly had to use Turnbull, thankfully.
We need a decent number 2 but Cortois needs to be playing every week.
-
In a World Cup season Cortois won't want to be sitting on the bench. He needs to be playing games.
One more season and maybe comes back to challenge Cech.
-
You forgot to mention that they are out on loan playing for everyone else !!
-
Just to let you know, Finnair currently doing good deals in business to BKK.
Booked November for just under GBP 1400.00,

I think you may be right.Does Jose need Lukaku AND Ba? Seems to me he only needs one Drogba style player?
And what's the latest on the other Luka?
I reckon Jose will keep Torres.
Lukaku is a more Jose type player than Ba.
I think Ba may well be sold.
I'd like to see Jose bring Torres to life.
He could see that as a challenge and make Roman happy.

If we buy Cavani, or any other striker, I can't see both Torres and Ba staying. Unless, next year we will be playing with 2 strikers instead of one.
I really hope Lukaku hasn't been given an empty promise.
Given good chances I think Lukaku will become a real fans favourite. Have high hopes he will be the real deal.
-
who was the Chelsea manager when Torres came?
honest question, nothing clever.
Ancelotti

The change of clubs for the big bucks has effected many players in the past so its no surprise.
