  1. So? How much was involved this time and who are the Thai people (experts) responsible for due diligence as to their actual ability to 'detect'? That at least should lead DSI to the money trail as to who got paid.

The criminal here is the British person, and you all are making it look like the Thais are to blame. You surely stick up for your own kind and down playing his crime. Innit ?

Is this what you call cricket ??

  2. These two guys are complete idiots, however how much has the Red Bull kid have to pay for killing a ranking police office with his car??? Oh that's right he's still in his mansion never spending one day in jail or hasn't paid any fine outside of tr compensation to the family. Can you say double standard for foreigners?? How much of that 5million went into the pockets of polices pockets is a good question probably all of it.

So what ? What has the case of the Red Bull kid have anything to do with this ??

These two cases have no comparison. You people stick to your own kind, speak up for your own

kind and have empathy for your own kind. Just because he is white everyone white seems to have

    empathy for him.

Let him rot in Bangkok Hilton.

  3. Its quite easy to make you just need to make sure you have your salty (Fish Sauce ) Sweetness ( Palm Sugar) sourness (usually fresh lime juice) balanced then add chopped fresh chillies (Red or Green or a bit of both ) to your own liking some chopped Scallions(spring Onions ) and Garlic finely chopped . it might take a little experimenting to get the balnces right but it will be worth it Enjoy thumbsup.gif

And a teaspoonful of good cognac (optional).

  4. Why cannot some people here on TV who seem to have something wrong with their heads

realise that this news article in the Bangkok Post was written by a Thai whose first language

    is not English.

If there were to be a news article written in Thai and by farangs whose first language is not

Thai, I am pretty sure the native Thais will be rolling on the floor laughing. cheesy.gif

If you people do not have anything positive to say, go find something worthwhile to do.

  5. "Thailand is continuing with its systematic approach to the removal low net worth foreigners

who are attempting to live here long term."

There's nothing wrong with that. The UK stops all illegal immigrants going in. Every country

try and impose restrictions one way or the other. Can a tourist, if he/she wants to, manage

to get multiple visas and live in UK for years on end without a work permit ? I doubt it.

  6. 2.4Million in drugs and this XXXXX expect leniency? If you see the results of drugs and the destruction it causes, you too would throw the switch as would I, in a heartbeat.

If the social and personal damage were the main factors determining the punishment alcohol and tobacco manufacturers and retailers should have been taken to the back and shot long time ago. But they are not. The punitive approach to drugs has been discredited by all serious studies and by negative results that the multi-decade multi-trillion dollar war on drugs had produced. Most people can consume alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or food for that matter in a proportionate, healthy, and responsible way. They should be able to ingest whatever they want as long as they are not harming others. Some people have phsycological problems with addictive behavior towards any of the above substances. They need medical and community help, not prison. The public policy should be focused on the majority and stay out of personal lives. The minority should be offered help and support programs. Decriminalization is the onle sane public policy approach not only because it will stop destroying lives and filling up prisons with non-violent users, but because it will move durgs from the black market where they fuel more violance into the legal market where they can be regulated and taxed just like alcohol and tobacco.

A rare voice of reason on this matter.

    Thank you.

    A "voice of reason" ?

    I don't think so !

It sounds more to me like a voice of the clueless !!

  7. Sentence people to death for trafficking drugs is the worst what law can do. Nobody deserves that. Doesn't matter what particular drug they were trafficking.

    Death is never a solution.

    My opinion.

Would you be saying the same thing had the drugs she carried killed a person you knew?

I would and I'm the younger brother of a heroin addict who has died and been resuscitated 5 times! People choose to take drugs (at least at the start of usage) in the same way you and I choose to have a beer. The picture of the poor innocent user or the dope dealer hanging around outside schools just isn't true in 90+% of cases.

Get on with it Indonesian government.

    Execute the drug trafficker !

  8. They have taken the issue of drunk more seriously...because...they are putting the pics of drunk drivers on facebook?

This is wrong on so many levels...boy...where do I start.

    a) if they take the issue more seriously, start with educating people on the dangers of drunk driving. Go to the schools and show children what happens, when you drink ...and drive! Make questions about responsible driving, part of a REAL drivers- license test.

b ) really enforce the law on drunk driving. Punish people severely if they are caught. And punish the BiB taking bribe money instead of issuing penalties.

    c) so....suddenly it is okay to "name and shame"???

    d) since when did FACEBOOK become part of the Thai- justice system?

    ...I could continue, but I feel so...tired....bah.gif

Putting photos of drunk drivers on FB is definitely and absolutely right, and is a step in the right direction.

  9. What a meandering senseless piece of tripe this "news" article is. It reads like it was written by some dreamer not in touch with even a basic thread of reality. Meandering tripe.

I think she is the new editor....

    It is tripe.

Where can I buy some green tripe for my dog ?

    He loves tripe.

  10. It has been said many times that farang will never understand THAI-NESS. That sounds like an absolute and true statement!

    Same same.

The Thais will also never understand FARANG-NESS ...... lone gunmen in Western countries killing innocent people

without any rhyme or reason. This is also an absolute and true statement !

  11. I hate to be a skeptic, but i dont think we will be seeing these in hospitals anytime soon. There is not much to skim off of 50-70k, its much easier to hid tea money in the 2-3 million baht devices

Sadly for some people this device has come too late to detect the brain ischaemia,

which can lead to impaired reasoning and to obsession with "tea money".
