  1. These laws are already in place. It is the media and politicians that make it sound like there are no back ground checks. LINK There are some loop holes but they don't discuss that these are loop holes and it adds confusion because it looks like there are no systems in place.
  2. I am far from a militia. I also don't own any assault weapons. I have a 22 rifle that I purchased when i was 18 and 3 handguns. They are safely stored but easily assessable for emergencies.
  3. I agree with you to a certain extent, but the school are not hiring social workers for these jobs. The kids can go to teachers, counselors, the Vice Principal or Principal for most of those things. The schools treat it as risk management. It is not to have a bad ass cop on campus. It is normally a cop who is softer and more approachable. Good with kids and people.
  4. It is not about "armed guards." Communities add "school resource officers" to their school so there is an officer available to the staff for advice. As well as for the students to talk to if they are being bullied. The students and staff can talk to the officers if they suspect criminal activities (drugs, assaults, etc). It is. an option for the schools districts and cities. It is up to them if they want to do it or not. Of course an officer at the school can help reduce the risk of an active shooter situation. However nothing is guaranteed. Not everyone would feel this way, but as a kid, I would have loved to have a cop in my school. I always looked up to them and it would have been nice to talk about things with them.
  5. Today I did some follow up and she told me she gets 240 of the 500 baht (48%). But she said other services are much less as the 500 baht is a promotional rate and they are trying to get business back so it gives the girls incentive to sale this over the others.
  6. This place does not let the girls on the phones. I have been going there 10 years, no phones. If you re-read the post they enjoyed the massage and they even asked for their names for a repeat visit.
  7. Of course you will not getting the tipping culture because you do not live in it. I am aware of Japan and some others that consider tipping rude. However, do you realize Thai people even tip other Thai after a massage?
  8. Not true. You take it to a place near Big C Extra called N.A. Services (Thailand) Co LTD. They are contracted with Thailand Elite. Though I have heard the new online system is easy and I may try it next time.
  9. It is currently the same as all other travelers. I purchased a policy for 8 months (go back to USA in January).
