  1. Morals pre-date religion! And christianity (and other religions) doesn't just teach love and not to sin etc, you also have to accept it encourages a lot of discrimination, bigotry, mysogony and general judgemental, self-righteous behavior...Like I've said, people can be good without gods especially as they don't have a book of nonsensical fairy tales telling them what to do.

Rastafarianism was recognised as a religion a few years back: I'm not sure but I believe they believe they are the lost tribe of Israel; and it's got something to do with Bob Marley, Haile Selassie, and Ganja.

But Pastafarianism !!!! What's that all about ???

  4. Lets not forget that if child indoctrination was banned ( a socially accepted form of child abuse!) and people could decide which, if any, religion to follow when they are at or above the age of reason then religion would soon die out.

  5. The worst thing is they seem to purposely make fires that mainly generate smoke and therefore take a very long time to burn, surely a fire with real flames would burn quicker and with less smoke!

  6. What evidence that there is no God?

What evidence that there is no Easter Bunny?

I know of no evidence saying there isn't.

Most of the atheists I have known were either alcoholics, heroin addicts or sex-addicts. Interesting, as maybe they loved their drug of choice so much they refused to believe any evidence on the existence of God for fear they would lose it. Ex-addicts, however look on the God thing very differently. Would be interesting t see how many atheists lived in Pattaya!

Wow! A recent study actually showed atheists have a higher IQ than religious people, indeed many of the most brilliant minds in history have been atheist, see pic below. And another study of prison populations in America and Canada showed a much lower proportion of atheists as inmates (in relation to the overall population of each country) than religious people. People often try and claim atheists are without morals and dine on babies but the reality is we can be good without god!

  7. As my name suggests I'm a follower of the one true god, The Flying Spaghetti Monster. For those who haven't accepted him as your lord and saviour, below is something that may persuade you.

On a serious note, I'm 100% atheist. All gods, almost 3000 of them since written history began, have been man-made and the christian god Yahweh is as real as Thor, Zeus, Ra or the noodly FSM. As the great man Hitchens often said, Religion Poisons Everything!!! Loads of videos of Christopher Hitchens on youtube for those unfamiliar with him, well worth a watch/listen.

  8. Excellent advice from the feminine feline, agree 100% especially re the DVD, the only time I've ocassionally used a DVD is letting them watch an English movie as a reward and even then they were quizzed about it afterwards. Good luck!

  9. Oh come on, if a grown man openly admits to keeping count of how many 'likes' he has on a forum then he is fair game for a ribbing!

  10. When I say manic I just mean much worse than normal, normal is empty mountain roads which are some of the best in the world for riding bikes so I guess we shouldn't really complain when the circus comes to town for a couple of weeks a year :-)

  11. The new year traffic is the same as always and that is absolutely manic! Now and Songkran are horrible times to be driving (or even worse, riding) up here with loads of traffic from elsewhere, and especially BKK, driving like idiots.

  12. Happily married over 5yrs with a beautiful 3yr old daughter and $ isn't, and never was, a factor. Compared to my previous relationship with an English girl my current one is a breeze but thanks to the OP for the wise words :-)

    Sorry, I give up.

I worked it out Dal, they hate the way Chiang Rai is referred to as The Rai.

    It really peeves them off.

I imagine it just annoys the OP, doubt very much anyone else cares so there is no they or them.
