Scott, as usual, is correct as it isn't easy to become legal without a degree. But you don't have to have a degree to be legal which is what I often read on this forum and elsewhere.

If you want to work in the school system, you'll need that degree in order to be legal.
EDIT: Although with your background, I wonder if you may be of interest to International schools, not as a teacher per-se but some kind of specialist in the field?
Two of my colleagues at the previous school I worked at were working legally with Non-Imm visas and work permits for 4yrs, neither had a completed degree. Not sure if they still are but that was only last year, those that say you aren't 'legal' without a degree are wrong, a valid visa and WP make you legal.

I know a few people that have been granted waiver letters by the TCT without having completed a degree. In certain circumstances they look at each application individually and take into account other qualifications as well as work experience and teaching experience. This is usually only done for native English speakers though and not regularly.

It's a temporary promotion so I guess they're clearing off old stock of the imports before the new 1200 is released. Very tempting for sure.
But how can they be the imported bikes at such a low price?! If the correct import taxes etc have been paid then they have to be selling at a significant loss, either that or they make 200k baht profit on each bike which I doubt!

Isn't the made in Thai one the 795 while the higher spec Italian built model is the 796?

Must be a mistake/typo by Ducati Thailand! The normal 796 price is 679,500 baht so no way the Corse Stripe 796 is only 439,500, must be the Thai asembled 795 Corse Stripe.

You buy a GMM Box, around 1000baht, from powerbuyor similar then get it hooked up to a dish then every month pay the 499baht at 7/11 which is their complete package, cheaper if you want less channels. If you want to know a guy who can provide the box and dish and do the set-up message me.

GMM has Star Sports and Fox sports which shows F1 and MotoGP, will let you know re Ashes in a few days. No discovery turbo but Nat Geo adventures and nat geo wild plus many more, 499baht is for all of their channels so quite a good deal.

I don't need EPL but do they have the regular UK channels and Sky News?
Cricket would be a bonus.
If you aren't interested in the football then GMM would be a better option, 499baht per month which includes Sky News, Nat Geo, Fox Crime and many more including quite a few sports channels which various sports inc cricket.

The price at the Thai Motor Expo will be 4,099,000 (considering how few will be made I would guess only one or two are on the list for LOS- Desmosedici RR owners get the right of first refusal in the US- it's probably the same here).
Thailand will officially get 10.

But I'm not going to share the name or location!

Prathom/Matayom schools require either a TL or waiver letter while universities don't, does anyone know if the commercial schools and technical colleges require anything from the TCT? Just done a waiver letter application but been offered a position at a commercial school so wondering if I'll have to do it all again.
Thanks.

Try HJC as well, bought a 2500 baht one recently and surprisingly comfortable with a 3* safety rating too!

I'm coming round to it too, think all black would be my choice. Much higher spec than the previous bike and circa 600k so not too outrageous either.

on what basis did you get the visa ?
Marriage or something else ?
Yes, marriage visa. I got a 60day extension when my original 90 days was up and wasn't asked to do a 90 day report then.
-
Flew Ams-Bkk in Premium Economy with EVA Air and very happy, had a wander round the plane and Economy looked very good too.
-
Arrived in Thailand in July this year on a 90day Non-Imm O Visa then extended it for another 60days which expires at the end of this month. I'll then be doing a 1yr extension which I believe will be 'under consideration' for 1-2 months. At no point have I been given a 90 day report document, a friend thinks they start when my 1yr visa is (hopefully) granted, anyone know if that is correct?
Thanks.

At first I wasn't that keen but it's growing on me!
