Guy, I am in the process of applying for a Thailand pass, Is booking hotel sufficient for Thailand pass or do I have to book transport as well, since a friend is picking me up from the airport to the hotel?

Definetely! I wake up at 3:00 am so i can wrap myself up sit outsside, and enjoy it till dawn!
hope it lasts! -
All the folks have advised you plenty.
the only thing i might add is when u r shopping around, u might like to opt for a lifetime license.
if you google it you will find a few sellers, not providers, that sell u a lifetime license.

I find myself feeling almost like a prisoner.
I rent a house, as I cannot buy one. Can’t and never stayed in a condo.
i like travelling in and out of Thailand. But the TM-30 makes my landlord, annoyed and frustrated as he is often busy with his own business affairs.
It is making me fearful of even thinking of going out of my house for a weekend in and out of the country, and afraid to even breach the subject with my landlord.
I truly hope the authority find a decent and practical solution.
I am a 69 years old retiree and not sure how much of a risk I represent to Thailand.
I would be even willing to wear a bracelet or something that constantly report my location. I am sure my cell phone does that already.

I hope I live long enough to see this observed.
Enforced? Big question mark, but observed, that would be a real revolution.

Trying to locate a power bank gadget that is capable of charging an iPad and an iPhone.
Done some research but electricity terms and principles, somehow elude me.
If I understood correctly, the requirement for an iPad, apparently is 3.4A for a decent fast charge and 2A for a prolonged one.
Also there is the wattage requirement which again is too complicated for me.
One thing I did understand is a 20000mah minimum requirement for both gadgets to charge for a day outing.
Is there a chap, who understand these things or who might have had some experience, willing to advise or help?

Zubin Karkaria, chief executive officer of VFS Global, said that the system would increase safety and speed for tourists who travel to Thailand, while keeping their information confidential with global expertise in visa requests.
It is so reassuring...

Short lived hope.
I thought it might be a precursor to Apple Pay in Thailand. [emoji22]
Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect -
Came across this, can’t make a head or tail of it! Has anyone had any experience with it?

Tried Google Translate, but it doesn’t tally!

Is there an office within the Suvarnaphumi airport that accepts TM30 form?
my landlord will be picking me up from the airport and thought it might save a trip to the immigration office if such a place exists!

Why is it every time I pick a burger at McDonald or chicken fillet sandwich at KFC it crumbles and fall apart before it reaches my mouth?

What interests me is whether the Thais hear or read about it?
What are their reactions? If any?
My Thai social media is limited to a Parayaah’s local neighbours news.
Any one proficient in Internet Thai Social Media read or hear about it? Sort of ‘from their point of view!’?

Hope it doen’t turn into a ‘Cambridge Data Analytics’!

It depends on your location.
I had the same problem.
What I did was used an app that gauge the signal from the towers around my house. I simply picked the best which was in my case AIS. In a previous house 600m away, DTAC was the best.
you can also gauge a good signal from your existing phone by going into cellular and uncheck automatic: wait a minute or so and the first signal that pops out is the strongest.
i hope that helps.

Good Luck with that!
80% of my bin is plastic bags and containers , and that is after just one visit to Makro.
Big C, Tops, Tesco, and their flimsy bags, use two carrier bags simultaneously to bag few items. I use those to line the small bins within the house.
Street vendors, Takeaway restaurants and the likes is where the Minister will find stiff refusal/rebellion.
As I said earlier, Good Luck!

Just try it, they want access to almost everything, location, photo's, documents just name it... I uninstalled it already.
Is that why there isn’t an IOS App!?
Apple will not permit access to any of the above without the explicit user approval.
