I have been diving at the Similan Islands extensively during 2003-2004. I went back 2 years ago and was shocked by the difference. Very little fish and dying reefs is what is left.
How can you not want to protect this area? Of course... $$$

The hospital still allows the elephants to be ridden?
That's damaging to the elephants.
It's a hospital. They don't decide on that. They only treat the animals.
Nevertheless, you are correct that riding them should be banned. Tourists should avoid riding activities. Plenty of non riding options these days.

IMO Huntsman is tasting much better than Snowy. Snowy doesn't come close to Hoegaarden and tastes very sour. Huntsman comes much closer to Hoegaarden.
But then again, everybody has its own taste. Actually I like Grolsch and sometimes it's for sale in Thailand, but way too expensive.
I have to strongly disagree... Huntsman tastes like its watered down. Very little flavour. Of course Hoegaarden is a different league, but so is the price.

Nice, I'll give it a try...
I also think Singha did quite a good job on the Snowy Weizen... pretty good taste and something different then all the regular beers. And of course at 55 THB for a big can (also 12 packs available at Makro now) not as crazy priced as Hoegaarden or any of the German imported Weizen beers.

Interesting... what is your source for this info? The labour department doesn't mention this.

Three suspects were taken to the Chalong Police Station for working illegally in a job reserved for Thai citizens and without a work permit.
I don't think that photography is a job reserved for Thais... It is not on the list as far as I can research.

Because it doesn't contain immigration details. Try to tell me my job again. . .
In the immigration online registration system only a name, birthdate, sex and passport number are mandatory. Registration will go through without the arrival card, visa type and additional details.
So what are immigration details in your opinion?

“We will inspect all businesses along the Chak Canal that drains into Ao Nang and punish all who release untreated wastewater.”
That will be more than a few, I guess. And next they should inspect businesses on Phi Phi. It is known for years that large amounts of untreated wastewater get dumped back into the ocean there. It would take a huge investment to get things straight there.

This is the official Royal decree. It is in Thai though... As far as I know is what you mentioned before correct. There is no job exact job description anymore.

I expect you to get screwed immensely on import taxes and duties.
There are lots of solar companies in Thailand now, with fair prices. I would try and shop locally. Also keep in mind that warranty and service is quite hard when dealing directly with the Chinese.

Must be the same Ukranian couple that went kayaking to the Krabi islands last weekend, while there was a weather warning and nobody was allowed to go out to sea. Some people....

Look at the Thai average wage for professionals who are likely to want to play golf on their own courses and you have your answer. if you don't like it, don't go.
I think that most Thais that play golf make a lot more than your and my "avarage wage". Any BMW or Benz parked in the parking lot will easily confirm that. So they should be able to afford at least the same fees.

I think he meant you need to do TM30 report of your presence at the place you are staying which has nothing to do with 90 day reporting.
Yes, that's correct. And then the IO changes my existing 90 day report slip with a new one with new date. So that would answer the OP's question too ????

That is not entirely correct.
Not every office requires you to report after going abroad.
And if you do need to report it does not reset the 90 day count on the day you report, but the day you entered.
Of course, the 1st day is the day you entered.
But this IO was telling me I have to report after coming back... Again, I never did in the last 6 years. I just recounted my own 90 days...never had a problem. Only the last time I got told this...
-
But you will have to report again anyway at your immigration office asap, after returning from abroad. I never did before, but recently I was told by the IO I have to, every time I return after I have left the country. And then indeed your count will start at day 1.

From what I understand they will be building sea front, right near the spot where the smelly "black pond" is. Only leaves me guessing where their waste water will go. This should and could be a step towards planning waste water treatment in that area, as the water is never clear there.

Also a big problem in my area... dumps in palm and rubber plantations. But then again, a problem throughout the country. People can not take their waste, like building waste and oils for example,to a general collection point, like they have in the West. And in our area, around Krabi and Ao Nang, garbage collection does not have any attention at all from the local government, resulting in road side dumps, even in plain sight of visiting tourists.
Sad to see those dumps, surrounded by beautiful nature.
