  1. The SMS service is currently not accepting new customers or new top-ups. I would recommend you to find another service. If the SMS service is to be relaunched, it will take some time.

    Thanks for the reply George,

What a pity it was such a handy service to have on hand.

Anyone one with a reliable replacement or alterntive service you know abut or use...?

    Thanks in advance

  2. Hi I got my son's Playstation 2 fixed at the electronic repair shop at the lower level of the Computer IT Centre in South Pattaya Tai Rd.

As you go in the It Centre go down the escaltor then turn right.

Hope you get your machine fixed.

Shope around on price and as suggested in the pervious email send a thai relative or friend

to get it fixed could be the cheaper way to go.

    Good Luck....

Just wanted to ask if anyone knew where I could take our Sony Playstation 2 to get repaired in Pattaya? Are theye any shops in Pattaya that specialise in Playstations?

    Any help would be appreciated.

There's a little market place on second road called 'Made in Thailand'. with a lot of souvenir and t-shirt shops. My brother bought a Liverpool shirt for his son and the lady there told him to come back in 20minutes and she would have 'GERRARD 8' stuck on the back of it. I'm sure they could do the names and numbers for you. I think they could also point you in the right direction for getting logos and stuff done.

Just came back Wanphen and the guy above Khun Panya is great, Straight down the lane where the suitcases are, there is a tailors shop 3/4 of the way down on the right near swords and knifes just ask for Khun Panya Phone 01-8630791 or 038-411951

Tell him the guy who got his details from the internet (He has no www) refered you.

I told him there was another person looking for small lots for a kids basket ball club.

Small lots Mai Mee Ben Ha!

Here's the deal 300Thb for the block, "T shirts very a nice white XL for me was 120 plus 40Thb for the screen printing on the front. I'll probably do a couple of different colors

I also want some lettering on the back = another 300 for the block! He keeps for further use and 20 Thb for scren printing. Total 180 Thb for 2 only to check all Ok then I'll probably get another 10 to use and sell and increase if it works.

He's always got the block for future container orders

    (Yeh! Sure)

My idea is a personal $ maker hopefully!

Going back tomorrow with another logo to see if the same deal applys

But Hey 600Thb for 2 blocks, 120 for the shirt and 60 for screen printing.

So 800 to start with 2 shirts but after it'll be much cheaper obviously and you can probably negotiate a deal depending on how many you want.

I'll leave a card with him tomorrow to maybe he could drum up other business by advertising on Thai Visa.

Any way I'll get a couple done and check it out.

It was closer than going to Naklua

    Chok Dee

  4. All the Pattaya Hash Chapters use Screen House in Naklua. They are probably the oldest and biggest print shop in town.

Turn Right at the lights on Naklua high street as if you are going to Sukhumvit. Go up as far as the market on the right and take the last road that is on the market grounds, they are in the back there on a corner, just poke around there, you'll find them.

He will generate the design for you or copy your art work. He used to small quantities, probably still does.

Thanks Mobi. davidbkk and Rimmer for your help very much appreciated.

You guy's are a great wealth of information.

MP5 I hope you can track down what you need also.

Chok dee to you all .....

  5. Wanphen and I are still looking for the "T" shirt person or persons.

    Along with forensics

Surely there has to be some body who does small runs!

Don't get smart we're talking about "T" shirts

    Chok Dee

    Hi MP5,

    Yes ...still looking.

Like you I'd have thought there would be at least a couple of people who have brought

T Shirts for thier fishing, golf club. And could give us an idea where and how much.

Where do all the bar owners get their staff T shirts from...?

Any bar owner got a clue....

    Thanks :D:o

  8. thanks for that,

Has anyone got any pictures of the interior of the hotel, roooms etc, they would be appreciated :D

I stayed there last year for around a month and got a room for my son as well later.

The room are quiet big as are the bathroom which has shower and bath.

There was a water shortage in last couple of weeks and the hotel had to get a water truck in most days. The breakfast was basic I'd find some where like Viking suggested. I never ate there, but my room looked down into it and there were a lot of franges eating there.

I went to the Apex for my breakfast it in Soi 11, Second Rd the opposite end from the beach as you come out of Seaview. They have a buffet that you have to check out to beleive and cheap.

We used to go for brunch and pig out.... :o

We had lunch and dinner in Seaview and it was was good.

Staff were good, but there was a change in staff underway as I was leaving.

They don't mind if you bring home a special friend, they ask the friend to leave her Id card which she will get back when she finally leaves.

I'll definetly be staying there on my next trip, which I hope will be in June.

Close to the beach Mike Super Store and easy to get transport in either direction along beach rd or second road.

Hope you have a good stay and maybe give a report or feedback after .

    Regards

  9. frankly, i dont want to get involved.... there is a little boy in the large field on soi bukhaow (where the towers WERE to be built) that i see time to time sniffing glue. its only a certain time of day so if someone wants to call someone that can help, ill tell you when i see him (its only been about 3x).

im worried because i know some farang has most likely already molested him. when he seem me he tries to call me over - but one day i thai woman w/ baby in pram came upon him from another direction. he stopped sucking on the bag and hid. not good signs.

another issue: some real cruddy looking thai garbage pickers are sleeping under the large tree by sawasdee hotel. for most part they are not issue for me and i have soft spot for th epoor but some times they can cause problems (hassling me once for a smoke) but are generally very dirty and in ill health.

there is also a half crazy woman popping up there time to time by the shed where one young woman was raped. shed almost be attractive if she cleaned up, she be flirty but she got to be hiv+ otherwise she cant be that stupid to know she could toss a rag on and get 100b sitting in a bar.

so many problems since they took down the beer bars there - only to build others that have no business on the other side.

    go figure

    Hi h51n1,

  11. Hi thaigene2,

In my case we got his and my parents along to the local goverment office to sign a dcoument

to state that I had the soul responibility for caring for my two boys.

Unfortunatly when we when to got the boys passport they kept the orginal and gave us a photocopy

which when we got to Aus Embassy they wouldn't except. So another another trip back to get another original copy made up. Which was no easy matter.

My advise would be to get 2 or more with offical stamp on them.

Nothing worst than having to ask for another orignal to be made up.

    Good Luck !!!

And take one day and problem at a time.

  12. I Agree with Might Mouse.....

They will ask you questions of each of you about events , famlies and members.

About people in the photo's, you job salary...etc

    Tell you G/F Doh !!!

    Soon to be wife :D

Not to worry in the intreview if she does not know or goes blank.

    Just take her time....

Treat it as someone she met and is asking about her and her husband.

Get this out the way and you can start planning for Ma & Pa to come visit :D:D

Start shopping around for a cheap phone cards.

You can buy from most anywhere now days.

That way your wife can talk to family for hours.........

I my case we applied as De-facto with two (Thai) boys from a previous relationship and had no worries at all.

I think as long as you give the Embassy a vaild reason, you shouldn't have a worry.

The main thing they need to be sure about is that you are comitted to each other.

The photo's and stateemnts from friends and family members of your devotion to each other

    would go a long way...

Good Luck and Best Wishes to you both with your application.

  14. Hi Duality,

Not too sure if it's the same in the UK, But the last time we appiled for my sister we were given the opptunity to place a bond of $5,000 Aus in a bank account. Which remained there until she had returned to LOS and then and only then was the money returned to us.

As far as I understand it the reviewing officer has the discretion to ask for any amount between

    $0:00 to $10,000...

Maybe ask or inquire if this is possible.....?

Of coarse you would have to make a judgement as to if you were willing to do this...

Hope this helps in some ways

    Regards

  15. Hi,

I think a Pitchfork Campaign is required....

A mulit prong campaign thru the Media, Council, Tourism Authority, Wats, Monks and Entertianment Industry to get involved and educate all tourist, thai's and expats.

Make an issue during the local elections and newspaper and TV.

My be the could get a Reality Program involved like say Surviver Pattaya Thailand where they have to

live in one the area's. Throw in a few Katoy's, Bahtbus driver.

It have to be more entertaining...

  16. Hi,

I would like to suggest they remove all balconies from the units and hotels in Pattaya.

I'm amazed, but also amused at the amount of accidental falls and suicides ( cough) by franges and thai's from balconies in Pattaya nearly every week.

Maybe we could Thailand entered into the Guiness World Record for the most number of accidents and suicides from balconies.

The Goverment could start a campain " Jump for Thailand"

    What do you think....?????

  17. Hi,

It seems like applying for any visa is like russian roulette you just cannot understand it.

My sister applied did the interview and got refused for a tourist visa for the same reasons. Despite having a good job and a boyfriend and having been here to Australia before and complied with the visa conditions.

She waited a couple of weeks and applied again and got it and this time with no interview.

Just seems a lot on the person you deal with on the day and their mood.

So my advice would be not to give up all hope and try again.

Best of luck next time :o
