Found this video today.
Happened at Central in Koh Samui, 3 days ago, according to the OP.
Didn't see it on ASUAN NOW.
Quality tourists againThat ain't no "tourist". What you meant to say and title this thread is "Another Quality Retirement Visa Old Man with anger problems" in Thailand. You can clearly see he's a local living here with his Thai wife and adopted Thai familiy of kids which belong to a different father than the mother.

Seems they tagged you as a suspect of something. It can be triggered by any number of reasons, flt itinerary, your name matching someone else, duration of stay, travel history, you fit some type of profile they were looking for.
If the OP posts a pic of himself here including the clothes and look that he had on that day, we can all take turns with our educated guesses as to something that may have triggered them searching him and his phone.

Well, that's quite easy really. Enter on a different passport to the one that the visa is attached to. Eg. if you have a Canadian passport that the visa is attached to, then enter on your EU passport and get the 30 day exempt entry. Simples 😉

The weird thing about it is that you don't realize it at the time. You just want to keep walking. You start feeling dizzy and a little giddy. Your hands swell up a bit. Hats are not enough, you need an umbrella.
Those Chinese girls walking around with umbrellas to protect themselves from getting any tans on their white skin are the smart ones. We all used to think in the past that they were weird.

Wonder why Pattaya cops are fining people 500 baht for no licence and 500 baht for no helmet when the fines should be 200 baht and 400 baht only. What a scam.
It's also funny that fines are double for a passenger not wearing a helmet. 800 baht for the passanger and only 400ebaht for the driver.

I occasionally use my own car to return from a club/bar after a couple beers, never really intoxicated.
But I have noticed lately an increase in "road blocks" at night in Pattaya/Jomtien.
In the event that a cop smells beer on my breath, I know I am in for a world of hurt.
Not really comfortable with the paying procedure, wouldn't even know what to offer!
Does anybody know of a reasonably priced lawyer who takes these cases (at night preferably).
Alternatively, some lessons on how and where to offer , and the expected amount would be insightful.
Thanks in advance!
OP is an idiot, which Thailand doesn't need here. There are already too many Thai idiots in the country, they don't need any more to come here. Should be banned and deported if cops catch anyone drinking and driving a vehicle.

No, I got stopped at a checkpoint for driving under a yellow light. They issued me a ticket, kept my license and told me to drive to the police station to pay. So I went and fought the charge with a supervisor without success. Their really was no law saying you can not drive under a yellow light although the cop tried to show me some Thai paper saying it was a violation. It is a money scam. If they can not get you for no license or helmet they will find anything to fine you with. Even the head cop told me this. I had it all on video also. The fact though was they held my license and i had to pay at the cop shop. I then drove back and showed my receipt and got my license back. So in argument to your post, you can go pay immediately. Then show receipt and get your license back.
Note the video, Thai woman on back of bike with no helmet was allowed to pass through checkpoint yet all foreigners driving bikes were stopped. This is your tourist friendly city. With this happening daily and then in related news cops walking into bars stopping all music and fin to perform checks on everyone.
makes your holiday an extra special experience to remember so you never want to return
How much do they fine you for running a yellow light or running a red light?

Why would i tell porkies? Why do you find this hard to believe, is it coz you only got to Makro and Lotus once a week and that's the only time you're out, oh and maybe for a couple of Changs?
A better way to look at it is about 1 ticket per 1000kms ( ish )
Some of my trips i accumulate 5+ per day, have you been out of Pattaya lately trans, there's cameras everywhere now, it really doesn't take long to rack up a few. Bear in mind there's probably a few that don't work as well.
The traffic cams above Beach Rd and 2nd Rd (near Cebtral Marina), are they meant to be speed cameras or what? Speed limit is meant to be 40kms/hour but load of people go way faster

Well I didn't see that in the video (can you give a timestamp)
but the cop messed up then.
17:25 timestamp when he asks for the key and cop gives it back to him

Normally they will take the keys and you have to show a receipt to get keys back..maybe this joker had a spare set of keys ?
If you go a few minutes earlier in the video, the cops had his keys and he asked for them back before going into the cop shop and the cop gave the keys back to him when asked.
Plus cops can't take your keys when you have remote keyless entry like many of the newer bikes these days 😉

that usually does the trick!
BOB.
I always speed up and cut through traffic on Beach Rd near the cop shop when I seem them standing there ready to pull over motorbikes. Never once have they been able to see and stop me because I'm driving too fast, would become too dangerous for them to try and run into the middle of the road. Because I don't want to waste my time and theirs. I've got my Thai licence and helmet on all the time so they wouldn't be able to fine me for anything anyway.

I think most of the time nothing happens.
So when the cops ask you to go inside and pay the fine, you just get on your motorbike and ride off and they will just watch you go lol

From the video it looks like he was just mooning the passing traffic, not taking a public sheeet in the street

Just saw a video where a falang was stopped on Beach Rd outside the Cop Shop and didn't have a Thai motorbike licence or IDP. Cops issued him a 500 baht fine. He didn't have enough cash on him apparently, went into the cop shop to pay with a card if they would accept it, but they said cash only. He walked back out and back to his motorbike and rode off without paying.
We all know many Thais don't bother paying any traffic infringement fines but what happens with foreigners? Do they even lodge those paper fines into the computer system and do they issue the fines to the owners of the bikes if not paid? For example, rental company or rental person if privately rented?
Here's the video, start around the 18:15 mark:

Not suprising, with all the sugary sheet Thais eat all the time, plus the added sugar they add to all their meals.

IE: Police to speak to, office to obtain permissions, local payoffs, anything that is serious and would aid would be helpful. Also, perhaps an insurance waiver form to make for customers. Any help to get me started with the correct information would be helpful. Thanks
Can PM if wanting to also
I would start the first point of contact the Thai mafia who controls the beach & get their approval before talking to anyone in government or the police.
