I had had a car nicked and used as collateral for a loan because I was stupid and bought it cash and the wife, unbeknown to me, put it in her sons name.

I am now now asking where the THB 1 million is that was used to buy it.......

How did he steal your car that's in your name and for the wife transferred into the son's name? Did you give her a Power of Attorney allowing this or for her to sign other stuff on your behalf?

Think that thats a double negative, which cancels itself out

Ah yes, just ignore the "no" in my previous post, can't edit it :)

Hang on, actually I think the original was correct. Thinking back to the lyrics of Fetty Wap's song "My Way" he says "I don't ever chase no hoes" meaning he's got no interested in going after them.

It sounds to me you haven't provided much in the way of life skills either.

I set limits with my Thai GF early. She knows not to breach those limits. She can spend whatever she likes on her family out of what I give her each month, but there are no extras.

You say you love your wife. Maybe so. However, she does not love you. You are just an ATM for her and the son. Maybe one day the scales will fall from your eyes and you'll wake up to reality. Respect? You lost that long ago.

Um, why do people give away their cash for free to their Thai gf? Doesn't your Thai gf have a job and make her own moolah? Sounds like your Thai gf is also using you like an ATM too. I've never given a gf cash for her to spend and never ever would. They make their own cash from their own job, which they can freely spend however they wish. I ain't interested in no gold diggers.

Their website says otherwise "McCormick Hospital  under the directorship of the Church of Christ in Thailand, "

Maybe the gf is feeding the step-son some BS about how rich her family is owning all these hospitals when in fact they are not "hi-so" at all and are quite poor :shock1:

Gee not hard math man. he is going to Rangsit university with cash in his pockets. good looking and charming.Young girls fall for sweet talk and money being spent. all the time.

the wife's family was and is extremely poor. With out me he would have not even had the opportunity to go to technical college. He would have been farm labour same as the rest of the family.

Ah yes, if he's got handsome looks and moolah provided by the step-father for him to spend, then it's possible to break into the hi-so circle. The only thing is if the moolah by the step-father stops, the rich hi-so gf will probably disappear and they would have no interest for having a poor bf.

Buy yourself a bench, a barbell, a set of dumbbells and a decent amount of plates and do it at home. For aerobic activity walk up and down your stairs 2000 time like I do or go for a jog......Just get off you butt and do it yourself! With all the information available now on the net you can teach yourself all the right moves.....My gym will close the day I die.

No thanks, I'll just use the gym equipment at my condo's gym. Anyway, that would all take up too much space in my room if I were to buy all of that :shock1:

The son yes I feel has taken me for maybe 100000 or 200000 during his university time. But that happens the world over university kids are known for those actions. The last 55000 was the last money I will give him and I told the wife that.He said it was for his final semester so I said final is final no more money. I stand firm on that. If he lied to us and needs more money in the future for real expenses he is out of luck. I can be very mean. If he asks for more it will not be there  and because I do not give it to him he cannot finish his education that is what will happen. I will let 4 years of funding his education go down the sewer to make my point and all the opportunities that were there shall disappear into thin air. No education, probably hi so gf gone etc. Back to catching frogs at night.Sum num na

You said the kid and his mum have no money and you are paying for everything. How the hell did he get a "rich hi-so gf" if he's and the family has no money? I thought hi-so Thais will associate with their own kind, not bums who have no money.

How are you able to tell the difference- My friend collecting me in his car or an Uber driver? Do Uber drivers put signs on their cars saying they are Uber? Surely there will be many mistaken situations whereby the accused is not Uber at all.

    Hope everyone is peaceful.

    Harmony to all.

If you're a foreigner in Pattaya, better not get in a car driven by a Thai or have a Thai person to drive your own car. Taxi drivers are on the lookout and if they see it they will beat your friend or gf/bf, wife/husband :shock1:

    This is Thailand

    Need I say more?

I have bought  products many times (including brand name products) that have been faulty or simply didn't work. I complained and all I got was a "Khotort Kha" .  The most precious words in the Thai language.

Stayed at a four star hotel where the aircon didn't work. Had to sit and sleep in reception all night. It was the only place that had fans. No refund. No discount .

Anyway, I am quite surprised True Fitness had closed as I know many people who go there and there are all happy with it.

Did you contact your credit card company in both instances and request a refund?

Anyway, your examples aren't the same. Faulty product, well, it's not the stores fault. You have to contact the product manufacturer as per the manufacturer's warranty.  No aircon in the room, well, the room was fine just the aircon had a problem. It's not like you booked for one week's stay and they gave you one day only and told you to get out because someone else was going to take your room on the 2nd day. Also why didn't you ask to see the rooms before paying? Did you demand a refund for the money paid and said you will stay at another hotel?

1st point you raised - Not the shops issue, covered in the warranty of the product.

2nd point you raised - has nothing to do with the LENGTH of stay not being given to you (honoured in the contract).

If banks were responsible for every time someone paid for a service and did not get what they paid for, they would be unable to move through complaints.

So then you would have lots of cowboys selling peeps products and services all over the world, never giving the customer any product or service, but running away with the cash while the credit card company does nothing.

Millions of people everyday pay for things and don't get the goods/service they wanted or perceived they should of had, should they all call the banks?

It's not about getting what "they wanted of perceived they should of had", but what the goods/service they ACTUALLY paid for.

Don't go giving funds to relatives... even if asked by the partner ... just use common sense and stand your ground.

Some farang make their lives difficult.

The unfortunate thing is "common sense" isn't too common :)

imagine if you signed up last week ..... :shock1:    oh well,  forget and move on as you won't be getting the money back .....

This happens in Thailand .. this happens everywhere all over the world ...  it's just bad luck

You would notify your credit card company and lodge a complaint. The card company will refund you the money.

One guy i know buy a house in Bkk for wife, pay everything for wifes other Thai kids education, always buy expensive gift, holiday on and on

While he wife behind his back brag about going up country by herself not to see family, but stay with gik.

Fact is some thai women here will do many things even  a western female would find deplorable and feel no guilt at all.

Some people like to be a walking ATM or walked on like a doormat. You can't get rid of the stupidity out of a stupid person. Enuf said.

This business model doesn't work. Luring members with lifetime membership at dirt cheap price, sooner or later they will run out of money if no more new members. Have seen big fitness companies closing down in Singapore because of this.

So how much are these True Fitness memberships?

  15. 4 minutes ago, leeneeds said:

No money in this game unless it is high end price for membership,

    or you own the building,

so many have gone the same way,

With how ridiculously high gym memberships are in Thailand, being even way higher than in the Western world, in a city that has a huge amount of people, wages way cheaper than the Western world, how could a gym company not be making a killing?

Maybe TV should start searching for rappers to report the News, or hire that nice young Stacy Dooley away from the Beeb, to add her earnest enlightenment and social-concerns to my daily fun-fest ? The supply of new posters who admire that nice Mr Thaksin seems never to diminish, sadly.

Oh well, hope for the best, but expect the worst !

@Ricardo Here you go my homie, Chamillionaire is in the house!! Just as you requested :) Don't think Chamillionaire will be cheap though...

haha yes, he's getting treated as a doormat & getting walked over by everyone. Time to man up and stop being walked on, or being a walking ATM.
