  1. I just renewed my passport at the US Embassy Feb. 5..I had an appointment and on my appointment card it said passport services. I was promptly helped with no wait, the lady who helped me gave me the option of keeping my passport although it would have to be cancelled by punching 2 holes in it and they would mail me a new one that is arranged with the post office on embassy grounds or keep my passport and then mail it in prior to receiving my new passport. Process was very quick, I paid in Thai baht and now waiting for new passport
  2. Looking for a good water purification system with self replaceable filter and system to let you know when filters need replacing. Phillips was recommended but I believe there’s no service and installation in Hua Hin where I live
  3. It’s not a choice as that is the only way this particular property is being sold. It’s not available in a freehold to have my wife as the owner
  4. I’m entering into a 30yr lease with a well known developer in a gated community as well and have a Thai wife I will put on the lease document with myself. I’m interested as to how you wrote up the right of survivorship on your lease doc. Thx
  5. I’ve used Dr Niyom at Bumrungrad over the years and find him to be knowledgeable and thorough
  6. Yes…I went in with the bank letter and a history of the money being in the account for years…they wanted lots of other unnecessary documentation as well. Seemed ridiculous but I was able to comply and will now apply for my 1 year permission to stay next week. Having the money in the bank seemed the least important to them of all the requirements that I easily met
  7. I am also trying to go from OA to O…entered with a 30 day stamp, applied for O today…I have the required money in a Thai bank for many years and today they asked for a “ credit advice” from the bank wanting to see where my funds came from. I brought the letter I’ve always used from the bank to renew my retirement visa and they wouldn’t accept it. Anyone with this issue
