  1. FAKE NEWS - I have had those tests for 20 years in Thailand.
  2. You seem to know nothing about the Thai Taxation. Only 10% of businesses in Thailand are registered in the VAT system. And for additional info, only 6% of the population in Thailand pays income tax.
  3. Nonsense. Senior citizen state pension would go from 600 to 3000 a month. Any business making less than 1.8 million revenue per year does not pay VAT, and that is about 90% of all small and medium businesses.
  4. Did you read the article? Old people's state benefits will go up from thb 600 to thb 3000. That is 500%, not 2%. That would be very welcome.
  5. That is not correct. Only about 10% of businesses are registered in the VAT system. About 90% of small businesses claim making less than 1.8 million revenue thus are not subject to register and do not pay VAT.
  6. It's an absolute necessity to increase the State revenues. The proposals all make sense but consider this: While 11-12 Million file for income tax, only about 4 Million or 6% of the population do pay income tax. -> more income tax should be generated. The HUGE amount of gray money. Most small en medium business companies do not pay VAT or any other tax. This is most own businesses, bars, restaurants, shops, stalls, pushcarts, smaller factories, repair shops etc... do not pay 1 baht Tax. Only about 10% are registered in the VAT system, claiming theycmake less than 1.8 million revenue a year. Imagine this coming under taxation... Thailand would need a complete overhaul of the taxation system to be fair and equitable. And of course the waste at government level through useless spending, overpaying and systematic corruption should be addressed. Imagine Thailand having en efficient government and a fair and efficient taxation system with proper collection... The country could be so much more advanced!!!
  7. Just look at other countries to see how to manage this. Dubai has a great system. Why not copy from the best? Oh no, Thailand is not same, needs their own invention. That's why Thailand is not moving forward. And China has become the second economy in the world. They just copied from the best.
  8. It's crazy to have 3 different QR codes for each action. Why not 1 QR code for that Taxi and then 3 options to chose from. This is so inefficient. Open to cheating, mark my words!
  9. The Death Road Rama 2 project has had over 2500 accidents (including traffic accidents due to the construction work) about 143 dead. About 1440 injuries. In the period 2018-2026. This company has a heavy disregard for safety and it's workers. Above figures exclude the Office of the Attorney General collapse and the latest railway accident, and so many more. This company should be disqualified for all government projects. My prayers and thoughts go to the families of the victims and all the deceased and injured.
  10. Hope he votes Orange. Would be a good candidate to completely overhaul the RTP.
  11. It is called Yield Management. Prices vary depending on demand. But it is unethical to apply increases during a crisis. And Hat Yai is in huge crisis.
  12. I short lease them Wet too in Pattaya. It's called ST
  13. Tip is optional. You enjoy the service and the food, you may tip. You don't enjoy or it's average, don't tip. But it's not included. Thailand is not the USA.
  14. Thailand 🇹🇭 having a Casino or not is internal policy. If China 🇨🇳 is involved, than fear for Thailands sovereignty more than the little scuffles with Cambodia 🇰🇭
  15. Wonder why one country does not want to recognise the ICJ as an international instrument of justice. It could resolve the issue forever.
  16. I am a long term thai resident and from experience the smog is unbearable for a couple of months a year. That's mostly from end January till mid April. Some people escape to the South during these months. Others can't. Although I like Chiang Mai I would not want to live there and shorten my life by a couple of years. According to data: Chiang Mai has experienced varying numbers of days with PM2.5 air pollution exceeding safety standards over the past three years: 2023 101 days with PM2.5 levels surpassing the safety threshold. This period was marked by approximately 13,000 hotspots and 1,760 square kilometres of burned areas, leading to around 35,000 cases of respiratory illness. 2024 80 days of PM2.5 pollution above safe levels, indicating a reduction from the previous year. This improvement is attributed to enhanced preventive measures and increased public awareness. 2025 (as of March 31) 37 days with PM2.5 levels exceeding safety standards since January 1. Notably, the onset of the haze season was delayed to mid-March, and overall air quality has shown significant improvement compared to previous years.
  17. Just open a 2nd saving account at the same bank. Easy.
  18. "...A stern reminder of liabilities within the construction industry..." oh yes, and all those dead and injured, time and again.. on the Rama 2 tollway project? Have they been called to be liable? A long time since those responsible should have been jailed. It would be interesting to see how many dead workers 🇮🇹 🇹🇭 has under its belt since it started operations decades ago. 🤔 And how many officials have been entertained by Premchai in his own(ned) Poseidon on Ratchada, especially on those floors not accessible...?
  19. From the article: The BMA has proactively reached out to 11,000 private proprietors, urging them to follow through—112 have completed these checks so far.

  21. AI. It's such poor writing. Enhancing, Tantalising peek into the road ahead... Almost all articles from the Tiger and Asean now are written in such a horrible style
