I love La Monita but have been there too many times! Has anyone been to the new place next door to it?
Thanks for the other ideas, will look into them.

They do kids Tae Kwondo on Sathupradit soi 19 near Chan.
There is a big market for Krav Maga in Bangkok but no one appears to teach it anywhere.

Can anyone recommend a nice place to eat non-Thai food in the Silom or Lower Sukhumvit areas for dinner?
Probably around Chitlom to Soi 11 for Sukhumvit and Sathorn Silom areas.
Thanks.

Has anyone seen a place that will sell and fit an anti-glare screen/cover for a laptop in Bangkok?
I’ve tried fitting one of those plastic screen covers on a phone in the past and never managed it without bubbles.
So I’m looking for someone who can fit a good one on my laptop. It’s to prevent overhead lighting glare.
Any recommendations from someone who has had this done?
Thanks

Thanks, still looking. Tried Tesco, Big C, Central and Tops.
Will try a Makro next.

I'm after a water stand for the large bottles (18 litres) that are delivered.

Has anyone seen one on sale in Thailand or preferably Bangkok?
Thanks.

Thanks for the replies.
What if the parents are both farangs and the kid too. The parents have a work permit, could the kids somehow use the work permit/visa to avoid overstaying, even if there is no penalty for overstaying?

Do they get an overstay stamp in their passport? Could an overstay affect future visits to Thailand?

Wasn't aware of two line phones. Will have a look for one, how does it know which line you want to dial on?
Those PBX looks a bit expensive.
Thanks.

In a new condo there are two phone lines coming out of the wall.
One is for internal calls and one is for external calls.
Is there anyway to combine them into one phone that can then make and receive both internal and external calls?
Thanks.

Thanks, Dee Dial looks great. To the UK its 0.99 fixed line, 7.00 mobile.Where does one get a cat card from? Thanks.
-
I need to call the UK (landline, bank customer services) and I was wondering if there were any calling cards or online services I could use to make the cost a bit cheaper than using my standard land line?
I'd rather not use my mobile or Skype due to poor line quality.
Any tips?
Thanks.

Is there any chance of doing this if you are not married but living together (without going back to your home country first)?

2) If you are on a Non Immigrant 'B' 90 Day Visa Entry with a Stamp issued at the border, then this Permssion to Stay (and your Visa) remains valid upon leaving your job along with the cancellation of your WP.
Thanks. So in this situation, to get the new WP you don't have to leave the country?
-
What is the procedure for canceling a WP if you are changing jobs?
Do you need to leave the country and come back in on the regular tourist stamp to be able to apply for the new WP at a new job?
Thanks.

So I don't have to leave and enter Thailand to activate the second 60 days?
Thanks.

I got my double entry tourist visa from Vientiane.
I flew in and out from Bangkok to Vientiane with Thai Airways International for $150 return. But later saw that Lao Central do it for less but aren't on Sky Scanner.
Stayed two nights in the Avalon hotel, 10 mins walk from the river. Free wifi in rooms.
Used this service to pick up my passport from the hotel, get the visa and drop it off the next day: http://www.thaivisarunservice.com/
This saved me from visiting the consulate/embassy and allowed me to see the town.
All went well and now have a double entry tourist visa.
Questions:
The stamp in my visa now says October 19. Does this mean I have to visit immigration in Bangkok and extend this my 30 days?
Then do I do a visa run to a border before that extension expires.
Then do another visit to immigration before those 60 days are up and get a further 30 days?
Then go back to Laos and try for another double entry tourist visa?
Thanks for all the help.

I need someone to move the contents of our apartment to another apartment in the same complex (different tower). We don't have any large furniture but lots of medium and small items such as books, clothes, kids toys, sports equipment etc.The job will involve taking things out of the apartment, down in the elevator, through the garden, up in another elevator and then into the apartment. Packing and unpacking can be done by us if required. The job can be completed over a few days, from today until the end of August. We have a couple of shopping trolleys for transport, but if you have your own larger trolleys you could do the job quicker. Please apply with a quote and dates of availability. The location is on Naradhiwas, near Sathorn and Silom.

That's what I mean. Are these co working spaces very noisy with people hanging out and chatting and if so, would I be better off in Starbucks which at least has fast internet and comfy seats.
-
Has anyone used any of the co working spaces in Bangkok such as Launch Pad in Silom or Third Space on Tong lor?
Can you get some quiet work done there or are you better off in Starbucks?
Thanks.

No they well pick up and drop of the pass port in butadiene
Vientiane. Will allow me to see some of the town instead of queuing.
Good idea or not?
-
Thanks for that.
Has anyone used http://www.thaivisarunservice.com Thai Visa Run Service .com ?
They said they would pickup and drop off my passport from and to my hotel for 4,000 baht. But require payment in advance, before they will pick up the passport.
Are they legit?
Thanks.

Don't know the phone number. Its under one of the Fortune Condotown buildings, on the same row as Subway, its pretty much opposite the Starbucks.

I don't think it is open all the time, only when there is a class on.
As for KM, I keep running into people who ask about it and there seems to be a few people looking online for it too. I'd wager there were enough people in Bangkok seeking it to fill a few classes a week at least.
