Reminder to self: Take measuring tape along on next trip, in case I meet a cabbie who insists my 26-cm pouch is more than 26 inches.

Talking points and outcomes of the seminar will be considered in the move by the government to pursue road safety policies, in line with a national reform plan on road safety.
Yada yada yada ladida... talking points. That's all it will be. And another useless photo op. While the carnage continues outside, unabated. This 'seminar' on road accidents in Thailand is about as useful as a seminar against drug and substance abuse organised by drug lords.

Because your idiotic policies making people jump through more hoops than a bloody circus has put paid to any such efforts.

I wholeheartedly agree. It has to stop. First to go should be agencies like the National News Bureau of Thailand (NNT).

HELP! Wiping down the screen was easy, but does anyone have any ideas on the best way to remove coffee stains from the crevasses of a laptop keyboard. Yeah, sorry I couldn't hold my morning coffee in when I read the line quoted above...

No, according to Thailand. Westerners, farangs and the similar sorts are dirty, pesky, infected and have no money. The rest of the world simply does not exist, as far as Thailand is concerned. So yes, just their Chinese paymasters exist, then.

Everything that he is not. Actually, the comparatives are unnecessary. It should be "Prayut challenges successor to be great, good and honest."

They do not conform to any form of standards.
The RTP's standard is the international standard.

It means play with TikTok, FB and Twitter all you want, but officers must make sure to meet the daily targets of Thailand's no. 1 uniformed and licensed mafia outfit. Disciplinary action will be taken against members who don't deliver targeted numbers of extortion, scams, bribes and so on.
RTP's 'good name'... It's a wonder K. Wissanu doesn't feel embarrassed making statements like this.

I doubt many of your Chinese paymasters can read English. Consider writing this '打開' (assuming Google Translate is correct). It's a little more complicated than 'O-P-E-N', so try not to have an accident while doing it yeah.

This is a good idea. So many open-air car parks in Thailand. Solar panels can also act as shed for non-electric cars (EV) cars parked in the open. I think entities like Tesco-Lotus, where most of their outlets have vast open-air car parks, can adopt this initiative. Compared with neighbouring countries in the region, Thailand is leading with their EV agenda and this is one way corporate Thailand can help drive that agenda forward. Solar-paneled car parks can also help alleviate range-anxieties among pure-EV drivers, and add on to the overall charging infrastructure.

I wonder which foreign tourist would look at an itinerary like that and say "Yes, I want to go to Thailand now!"
Circus animals have less hoops to jump through than arriving tourists in Thailand.

On the contrary, I'd wager. Nobody here cares for their brakes, so nobody will send anything to be repaired, until it is too late, else there won't be so many cases of 'brake failure' ????

Samui and now Phuket to inspect a hotel and CVD19 screening procedures. Things a PM has to do! Still, way more comfy than dealing with protesters in BKK eh chacha.

Why do Thai officials keep harping about the somewhat non-existent 'returning foreign visitors and tourists'? If one wanted a real holiday, I doubt a 14-day quarantine plus having one's whereabouts electronically monitored and logged thereafter sounds like a good agenda. Even if someone had that kind of time and money to spend, I doubt Thailand would be the first destination of choice. The kinds of hoops, loops and conditions visitors are subjected to, make falling down a flight of stairs sound like a more enjoyable adventure.
Alternatively, why don't the authorities do more to spur and stimulate local tourism? It's not like the Thais can go anywhere now anyway, so why not encourage them to travel domestically and keep the local economy going? Even if transactions from domestic tourism don't match pre-CVD19 levels when the country was open to all and sundry, it is still better than nothing!

Clearly they never got their heads together before making their respective announcements.
Trust me, tomorrow some git will issue a statement to say BOTH are correct, and combined, they will in fact expect 19 million tourists next year, everything will be alright and they will charter flying pigs to bring all these tourists into the Land of Scams.

The prime minister will visit Phuket on Monday...
Not sure a visit by the enlightened one is going to bring even a sliver of relieve to Phuket's woes, if at all any. Probably just going to end up with lots of picture opportunities, forces smiles for cameras, some idiot blithering about how 2021 will become a record year, and that's that.
Why general sir, the heat is too much in BKK and the good general needs to cool it down a bit eh, hence Phuket?

Nothing has changed then. Come to Thailand, leave your money, go away. Just another day in the Land of Scams.
