"One theory is that during its training, the model may have been inadvertently rewarded more for achieving task completion—such as solving more mathematical problems".....How does one 'reward' a computer, that suggests sentience if it has likes and dislikes.

Some do, some don't, as with all wars. It makes money, so they happen.
They also cost money, a lot of money. With peace many countries, especially Germany, could continue buying cheap oil and gas from Russia. The Baltic states, especially Poland don't want Ukraine occupied by Russia.

That isn't my experience, I use the 65k method with a letter from the German consulate stating the amount of my pension in Euros and Baht, no mention of it being deposited in a Thai bank, the letter is enough for the IO who doesn't want to see a Thai bank account.

I don't think that is a prerequisite, as I understand it bank statements, monthly or yearly from your online banking in your home country showing monthly deposits of your pension is enough, it needn't be all deposited into your Thai bank account.

How does one make money showing hate for Trump? Tell me and I might change my position on him from neutral.
So I have been despising him for free so far

Vance will never be president, that man is a bottom of the barrel pick for VP, every time he opens his mouth he embarrasses the nation, and he is substandard on every level possible.
That didn't stop Trump from being elected, seems to be what the nation wants, economic suicide.

These are laws that need to be relaxed if this country can ever be a true Democracy.
What would change in a 'real democracy' (which doesn't exist anywhere). Would the homeless be housed, would American health care be affordable, would the NHS suddenly have no huge waiting times, would the wealthy suddenly have to pay tax, would the huge wealth disparity disappear, would child poverty be a thing of the past, would political promises made before an election have to kept? I don't think so. Thailand manages OK, it's a Goldilocks system, not too hot, not too cold, I prefer things here to the UK.

For the last 2 years in May the weather has been good, very hot, I know because my daughter has been here so I remember it well, we are in the south of Phuket, it's different this year a lot more rain,
Same in Surin, rain for a week now but I'm not complaining it's a lot more comfortable with lower temperatures.

They'll hand you a bottle of Tylenol and wish you good luck. And the palliative care you can obtain will probably be inadequate if you can get it as Thai doctors have two problems. 1) They feel that the pain you experience is your karma and your own fault, and 2) they feel that if they give you adequate amounts of painkillers you'll become an "addict" (heaven forbid). And they aren't going to give you morphine to take home. It's extremely difficult to obtain except in hospitals and then only under certain conditions. And don't plan to be put on a machine to self-administer morphine based on your pain levels. They'll ration morphine and they won't care how much pain you are experiencing. They use to have fentanyl patches, but I'm pretty sure those were discontinued. See reasons 1 and 2 above.
You're better off staying in your home country. This is no place to die if you're in pain. Where do you think wealthy Thais go to die if they have cancer? They don't stay here. Check Soapy Massage tycoon and politician Chuwit Kamolvisit. He left to go die in the UK. You can't get adequate palliative care here, and you won't get it at all for home use.
Wishing you the best. 🙏I don't think this is entirely true, I know of two instances where doctors did regular home visits for terminally ill patients here in Surin province, one for a French guy and the other was a Thai man with cancer, in this case morphine was given to his daughter and she was taught how to ad minister it to her father on a regular basis, he died at home pain free after 5 months of care from his daughter. I believe the government hospital in Surin city has start a palliative department.

"the sun beating down on me belly" You obviously weren't wearing a shirt while contemplating whether 'on my stomach' would compensate for using 'innit' in the title of your post and then deciding, no I'm from London, once a chav always a chav.

Thank you again for this humorous and at the same time sarcastic insight. Trump is a disease as we know and hopefully one day we can visit him in Alcatraz as an inmate.
Your style is exceptional and nobody can compare.
Thank you. ❤️

Good luck Canda. You'll need it.
He was right not to argue with a fool, Carney would have been dragged down to his level. Trump saves his sycophantic side for people like Putin, Kim and Xi.
