It was never going to be about fair. It is quite obvious that the target for closures will be anything to do with social. Thailand wants bars and sex trade closed from public view and will use Convid as an excuse to close them all down and keep them under control until they mostly go bankrupt.

Now then, let's all open our eyes and think about this with pure logic for one moment. If it is so clear that Omicron is going to explode, why close AFTER new year and not now? When you wake up and realise this is all a sham, you will see it is very simple that they will let you all out to play for Christmas and New Year, let you have some fun, then say, that's it, home time....no more now for another 6 months because that dastardly deadly virus is back. You know the one, the one that has seen masses of people taken from their homes dead, seen all the homeless die, and effected oh dso many under 70 years of age with no underlying issues.

Whose priorities? The people you immagine to be hardest hit, as opposed to the hardest hit?

No no no. You stated it was a fact, so you thus must have proof. I suspect you have been rumbled and are now found wanting. Your viewpoints and the way you claim your opinion as a fact is very childish. I think you realise that now.

Ah I see, so not a fact then, just your feelings and opinion without any substance to back it up. Thought as much.

Nothing to do with want to be true . Just facts
Explain these facts. Show we where it is proven that labour workers on trucks need the income more than people in bars or people in work related to alcohol?

I went to the driving range in the evening and took a beer from 7/11.... Felt a bit guilty putting it on the table...as everyone else was drinking coffee... Except they weren't, they were drinking beer out of plastic cups, served by the Thai shopkeepers at the range who would come out and fill the beakers at regular intervals. The range is owned by local bigwigs. Everyone knows what is going on. It's the same in bars and restos now. This is why I don't fear the alcohol ban being lifted. People are already drinking together. Everyone knows it, and if you don't, well, you're not really on the ball.
Very true sir. There are lots of places open and selling booze still. There is zero logicv to singling out bars, they do it simply because they can and feel it makes them look clever. The fact is, there have been plenty of cases in markets yet they are allowed to open again after 3 days or cleaning. There is no logical or scientific rerason to single out bars, end of.

I have a brain cell yet i do not agree with your comment . Keep the bars closed until they have 80 percent of the population vaccinated .
Workers making a living for there families crammed on a truck is a better calculated risk than a bar full of hot air to put it politely.
LOL. There is no getting through to some. A crammed truck is better. LOL.

It is quite clear to anyone with a brain cell that this is nothing to do with Virus risks and everything to do with social control and eradicating nightlife forever. If you have doubts, kindly explain why markets, BTS and trucks rammed full with labour workers have no need for the upmost care? Why is it ONLY bars cause spikes LOL. Wake up people.

No way. Bars are the sole cause of this so called VIRUS outbreak. Markets, being crammed on a bus full of workers of BTS/MRT, no drama, can't get it there. But in a bar you are dead.

In my humble opinion the Doctor is simply making reference to 'herd immunity'
I do agree with his statement that we have got to learn to live with it, as for people being shunned it is possible this has taken place, bearing in mind the level of education and lack of explanation to the people in some areas.
Get people vaccinated this will give them confidence to get back to a normal life.
What about those who have the right now to take the Vaccine? And why on this occassion, are we not being asked first if we have any allergic issues with certain medication as you always get asked before taking anything? I do not want to have an experiemental, and as yet unapporved/not fully tested vaccine. That is a basic human right.

It doesn't block the flow of oxygen even when I'm huffing and puffing up that hill to Lake Mabprachan. I seethe when I see someone not wearing a mask. There's even one joker at the lake who wears no shirt as well. And they're ALWAYS foreigners. Fer cryin' out loud, what makes them think they're special?
I know it is fashionable for expats to always have a go at their own, but have you ever wondered why you don't see news items about shaming Thai's for not wearing masks? In Pattaya I can tell you nailed on fact I see shed loads all the time, even ones serviving street food. But that is OK I guess.

You won't because it is unarguable. You just cannot accept it as you suffer from cognative dissonance and are brainwashed by everything you see on TV.

She is totally wrong. Think about this. A man sits on his balcony and get drunk with some of his mates and girlfriends. He goes to work the next day via the BTS. What are the risks of him spreading infections? More than a bar, less? The same? This is just an excuse to shut down bars as they hate the image of Thailand and its nightlife. It seems OK to go to mega rich owned Malls, go to work in confined indoor spaces at work in order to make your masters more profits. It is even OK to cram into the BTS, but a bar? Hell no, by far a bigger risk, LOL. Open your eyes guys.
EDIT. Add to that, factually it has happened....Factories and wet markets proven to have clusters were shut, and re-opened within days. But bars, hell no. LOL again.

47 per cent of hotels could stay open for less than three months
A survey of the hotel industry found that 47 per cent of hotels have liquidity to keep their business afloat for less than three months.
The confidence index of hotel business operators in April 2021, published by the Bank of Thailand, surveyed 188 hotels nationwide from April 12-26. Of the hotels surveyed, 30 are alternative state quarantine (ASQ) facilities.
Fifty-six establishments reported more than a 20 per cent decline in liquidity compared to the previous month, due to the latest Covid-19 wave, while 47 per cent said their liquidity situation could keep their hotels open for less than three months.

Being that this is the main part of the plan, yu can be quite certain they will make sure these 47% due indeed go bankrupt.

what are they not telling us
That the whole Virus thing is a sham/charade/scam and that these untested Vaccines are not designed to help, they are designed for more sinister reasons. Go ahead and laugh...then enjoy your clots/paralysis/early death. I am genuinely mortified that thinking, living, breathing humans still believe this virus even exists in the way they tell us it does. What ever happend to the human race and the ability for critical thinking.
