Control thats what, you will do as your told, i am the boss, thats what Prayut is doing, controlling the masses.
So if there is a 6 hour curfew, a 5 hour curfew, a 4 hour curfew it will stop the virus spreading, anybody who believes that needs locked in a loony bin.
I agree 100%

Horrid woman. There are those who proclaim how we must be scientific, must shun primitive religious practices, mysticism etc. and yet they fall into a hedonistic frenzy over harry potter the annoying prat and his collection of obnoxious pals. Harry potter is a celebration of revisionist satanism where the gods of greek mythology have been repackaged and rebranded as hobgoblins, pixies, elves, and whatever. Nonsensical idiocy. Watching university kids running about with brooms between their legs pretending they were quidditch "athletes" was depressing. I could understand had they been drunk or stoned, but they were serious. No different than the idiots who dress up as klingons and elves to attend comicon. We called them the Ted Kazinski unit of the special ed short bus.
Blimey! I'm glad I haven't read any of the books then. I am the only one?

Its unfortunate. I was one who had to return for work now stuck but life goes on. Whilst there is Skype and Transferwise no one is gonna starve or lose comms as sad as it is.
Yes, modern technology does soften the blow a little amidst all this insanity.

Then .... why come/stay here? I have encountered exactly 2 "ordinary" Thais who were rude bigots in YEARS here, other than corrupt Immigration personnel, who use rudeness as an economic-tactic. Given the CCP's well-funded anti-farang media barrage here, this demonstrates a significant inherent-resistance to bigot-hate tendencies.
I work with Thais every day. They are generally very nice, polite people. I encountered a significantly higher percentage of genuine (explitives) in my passport-country, on a regular basis, than here. That said, in my experience, most "ordinary working people" everywhere are good people, who seek to harm no one.
Hear hear!

Stupid eh? Do you REALLY believe there is or ever has been a pandemic in Thailand? Do you believe the emergency measures that have been imposed on the population are justified, based on the official death rate of 56?

It's all about control folks. Slowly everyone's freedoms are being eroded. I am not a smoker, but I do believe in freedom of choice.
When the current emergency measures are relaxed, we will not be able to go back to the old normal. Governments all over the world are intent on controlling more and more of their population. They are quick to take away our freedoms and once taken, they never give them all back to us. That is precisely what is happening now worldwide.

I agree, but there are many people in the world that can't cope with having their lives devastated and find themselves with no money to even buy food to feed their families. Those people should be getting help from the powers that be instead of being locked up like prisoners in their own homes.

True. And that is a whole different topic. IMHO 5G will cause more devastation than any virus, if it hasn't already.

IMHO they are being brainwashed by the likes of Anutin, the Health Minister and others that peddle racism and xenophobia against anyone that is non-Thai. Having said that, there are many Thais that are not fooled by the lies that are being told by the powers that be and the mainstream media.
Nobody knows for sure where the virus originated, however, it is clear that Wuhan was the source, although I understand no bats were sold in the wet market, so that points to the Virus lab as being the chief suspect.
The truth will come out eventually, so until then it is best to keep an open-mind, because whatever anybody thinks, it is just pure speculation.

Ah, the World Economic Forum whose tag line is 'Committed to improving the state of the world.'
I think a better one would be 'Committed to getting the world in a state.'

Auditioned by who; someone who can do no better than her no doubt ? When it comes to English they need proper Native speaking Teachers as their own Thai Teachers are near useless !
I agree 110%. However, the powers that be do not seem prepared to pay sufficient wages to attract native English speakers, which IMHO is very shortsighted. Until they do, there will be loads of teachers like her failing the students in Thailand.
I had to phone a customer service centre in Bangkok yesterday for a large multinational corporation, selecting English on their answering system. Eventually getting through to a young lady who asked for my email address, which I gave her twice. I never received the email. Her English was quite frankly abysmal.
