    1) You cannot hide european like outbreaks

    2) There are not reports news/social media of outbreaks

    3) My wife works in the local hospital (BKk hospital KK) and we are both amazed at the lack of outbreaks over the past months.

BKK is, I believe, a private hospital.  Covid-19 victims or those suspected of having the virus are taken to government hospitals which in Khon Kaen are bursting ate the seams!

  2. There is something that doesn't quite add up here.

    1. The incubation period is said to be 14 days.  The boxing match was March 6th. We are now on day 21 since the match but in the new figures they include 5 people who attended said match.

    2.  What has happened to all the PUI's?  Yesterday it was reported that there were nearly 6,000 in hospitals "under investigation" for Covid-19 on 25th March see below:-

Hospital inpatient numbers for people with COVID type symptoms increased almost 12% in just one day from the 24th to 25th, according to MoPH statistics:

    24th -- 5357

    25th --5985

That's 3587 patients in government hospitals, and 2398 in private hospitals -- patients under investigation for coronavirus.

Now surely, a percentage of these would have the virus and if not, why are they hospitalised?  I have a theory that the government may be using the same logic for recording Covid -19 as they do for Road Accident deaths. Once you are admitted to hospital, you don't count for statistical purposes anymore! Just a thought ????

  3. Social distancing 2 metres!  No we are immune! Crazy! They could be spreading the virus not stopping it! If they must test for fever, they should have the sensor on a stick, at least 1 metre long, which, together with the length of the arm should be just about far enough away for the recommended separation distance!

  4. A woman from Hadleigh, Suffolk, UK wrote this which I think needs a wider audience:-

My Sanitized Things (to the tune of ‘My Favourite Things’)
    Verse
    Hospitals, health centres, large institutions,
Lock down for fear of the public’s ablutions.
And any surface to which Covid clings,
We are all missing our favourite things.

Pasta, and loo roll and hand sanitizer
Although why loo roll? I am none the wiser.
Hoarding food’s what some folks did in the war.
I’ve got a feeling we’ve been here before!

We still have neighbours but something is missing.
Elbow touch only; no hugging or kissing.
Handshakes are now just a thing of the past.
How long do you think this madness can last?

    Chorus
    Over 70?
    Then you’re buggered.
    Days are long and sad.
But then we remember our favourite things
    And suddenly life ‘aint bad!

    Verse
Now panic buying is sweeping the nation.
Business is bad with this self-isolation,
But it’s not over ‘til ‘that lady sings’,
Oh where the hell are my favourite things?

Buying in bulk seems to be current fashion,
Maximum 4 bars of soap is the ration.
Why didn’t they stop this greed long before?
Ration books seemed to work well in the war!

    Chorus
    No more parties,
    No more football,
    It will drive me mad!
But then I remember my favourite things
And life doesn’t seem so bad.

    Verse
How long can we all be incarcerated?
Box sets can often be quite overrated.
TV repeats are the sole offerings.
Oh how I yearn for my favourite things.

Gossip with neighbours, the pub and the theatre.
Oh, stuff the new regime we must adhere ter(!)
Jumping in puddles and hubby who sings,
These are a few of my favourite things.

    Chorus
    Where’s the front door?
    Must get out more.
    Stop me feeling sad.
‘Cos this is the day that our dear Lord has made
And now I don’t feel so bad!
