  1. Hiya All,

sorry just looking at all the different websites for schools and conversing with the Wife about it all.

Just a note to say thank you for all your replies, excellent comments on an all important subject.

    Thanks :o

  2. Hi Buddy,

Thanks for that reply, thats what I wanted to hear a straight to the point answer! Thats all I needed to know.

As for investment thats a fair old price for a good school compared to blighty!

    Thanks again mate. :o

    Hi all,

could anyone advise on fees for schools in CM. For young learner ( 3 years).

    Thanks. CC

    ? :D

    Hi CC.

The school above, Varee does have an English program and we were quoted close to 80,000 a year per child..

We had a look in the classrooms and were shocked to see kids running riot. There were at least 30 kids in that class, probably more. We stopped and tried to speak English with them and it was poor to say the least. This may have changed since Febuary when we were last there. I hope so anyway.

My eldest two kids went to Little Stars for two years and were reasonably happy there. They say it's 50/50 bilingual, but it's more like 30/70 in favor of Thai..They also never told us they were a Christian school. When i asked (after nearly 6 months) why they neglected to tell me this they said it "slipped their mind".

My kids are now very happy at Lanna International School, even on the weekends they tell me they can't wait to go back, must be doing something right. Their English skills have improved ten fold since they have been going there (3 months now). My daughter is three, so i highly recommend this option if you can afford it.

    It's around 100,000 a year per kid..

Good investment in their future i think. :D

    Regards.

  3. I dont believe in hitting females, but i do believe in equal rights, if she is punching you and pulling knifes on you and putting your children in danger, then i think a nice backhand (not too hard) to the face will do and dont take any cheek from her. You need to show her you got some nuts down there.....If that fails then leave her.

This problem isnt so hard to solve really.....I have no idea why you would stay with her....SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you ever watched "Sleeping with the Enemy"?

Let me level with you Al Capone, your really weird! :o

  4. Two traffic patrol officers from North Berwick were involved

in an unusual incident, while checking for speeding motorists on the

    A-1 Great North Road .

One of the officers (who are not named) used a hand-held radar device

to check the speed of a vehicle approaching over the crest of a hill,

and was surprised when the speed was recorded at over 300mph.

The machine then stopped working and the officers were not able to reset it.

The radar had in fact latched on to a NATO Tornado fighter jet over

the North Sea , which was engaged in a low-flying exercise over the

    Border district.

Back at police headquarters the chief constable fired off a stiff

complaint to the RAF Liaison office.

Back came the reply in true laconic RAF style.

'Thank you for your message, which allows us to complete the file on this incident. You may be interested to know that the tactical computer in the Tornado

had automatically locked on to your 'hostile radar equipment' and sent

a jamming signal back to it. Furthermore, the Sidewinder Air-to-ground

missiles aboard the fully-armed aircraft had also locked on to the

target. Fortunately the Dutch pilot flying the Tornado responded to

the missile status alert intelligently and was able to override the

automatic protection system before the missile was launched'.

  5. ViolAnt, she really messed up your speech, do you have a fat lip thats giving you a lisp. Sorry but run for the hills, cancel all priviledges.

Heres is where to start, quite a popular choice these days:

    Jerry Springer

In all good faith though, get away and sort the problems out with some counselling.

  6. Well yes there is Courtney, but now they are more expensive. Gazelle Travel now have cheaper flights. It seems that the online fares are cheaper at the moment. Also China Airways are crap. Emirates now fly to BKK via Dubai direct from NCL so it is a better deal.

I was just wondering if anyone knows any deals out there or websites that maybe useful to getting a cheaper flight. I am a Geordie so always looking for a deal!

    Thanks for your reply. :o

  7. Hi All,

Alot of post in here seem certain they rae, but they never get a final price....so this is the chance if your bored to prove you know the cheapest option and benefit others and myself in your knowledge.

I would like the best qoute on flights Newcastle UK to Bangkok, yearly open anytime in the next 6 months.

  8. This thread seems to indicate how old you are? So how old are your Wives you lucky men! My Wife and I are the same age which doeant matter, but as mentioned by the OP I for one am not looking for a trade in.

  9. Take the guesswork out of wondering if it's inner or outer ear infection.

Take the guesswork out of wondering which antibiotic, if any, to use.

.....do these by seeing a physician and do so without further delay as you yourself said "It's been so long".... being deaf is no fun.

    hEar hEar SJ,

that is what any sensible and even a bit touched person like myself would do instead of asking John Doe all about it.

  10. I have a clear understanding. His cousin had a child to a Thai girl when living in Thailand. He was killed in an accident. He would like to bring the Wife and Child back to the UK and is asking if the child can still be entitled to British by descent. Also he would like the mother to accompany the child.

It is obviously an unusual case as the child does not hold a british passport at present, so it what would be the process on getting the mother and child who is the child of his cousin back to the UK?

What would the process be, the family obviously wants time with their relation in the UK and needs help and advice to do this?

I would start by contacting the British embassy in Bangkok and explaining your situation.

Click Here- British Embassy Bangkok Website.

Also some private advice from a member such as the Scouser is always good. I wish you well in your trying for the visa and if I can be of any help feel free to message me.

    :o
