  1. What a stupid question! are you really that shallow? did you buy the tools? please don't be an idiot and give the man's poor family back what their father worked for!!! This I'm sure is a troll post because I can't imagine anybody in their right mind to even think such a thought!

  2. getting a green card in America is a total joke! took my then pregnant Thai wife almost a year just to get a K-1 fiancee visa after she arrived here it took an additional 1 1/2 years to get her green card and work permit. Every time we sent them something they requested we had a 5 month wait just to hear back from them and wanting something additional. Not alone to mention that between my wife and my step daughter we've spent over $2500. I'd never do it again!!! much easier to live in Thailand.

  3. My family had also planned a month long holiday in LOS....My wife is Thai and both my kids were born there. We are now changing our plans and heading across America to visit family instead. It's really a shame that Thailand has gone so far down the toilet and is now wondering what their next move should be. It's all pretty simple, read the posts before mine and there in lays the answer. I really hope that the officials will read this forum and take immediate action ( I know wishful thinking) but my family would really like to come home and visit our relatives. Maybe somebody could forward this entire thread to the appropriate officials and maybe something will be done. We planned for a very long time to buy a rai of land and one day call Thailand our home, I now doubt that it will ever come to pass......WAKE UP THAILAND before your damage is permanent! as for now you've also lost our tourist baht.

  4. I would have been out of here faster than the new ferrari would have been ordered! But I would not have lived in the home country, maybe the south of Spain or in Florida! A few years there would have done me good, even if I do not like most americans that I have met.

They can't be all bad! (ok, have a go at me!)

    That's funny....we don't like you either!.....Don't come here!

  5. I know this has been asked before and I'm sure more than once, please forgive the ignorance but I've tried the search function and everything but what I need pops up. My Thai wife and I are planning a trip back to LOS in about a month and just noticed that her Thai passport expired last month. Can anyone tell me the best route to take in order to get it renewed? we live in Southern California and I know about a few consulates, but any advice will help!

    Thanks my friends,

    Cap

  6. Another thing to take into consideration is that English is not spoken very often and at times you really need to search out a person who can understand you. I found the girls to be pleasant but with the lack of speaking skills they became bored very fast! I also believe that most Thai's really could care less about a farang in town and would much rather hang out with their Thai friends!

  7. I also found out the hard way when we sent my step daughter a package with Christmas gifts, the Thai post charged mom in law like 1,800 baht duty. You either pay up or lose the package! needless to say I don't send anymore gifts, better to give mom in law a few thousand baht and let her shop for us!
