Get you Thai friend to call the number and setup a meeting to see the house.

Get you Thai friend to help on web search.

Have your Thai friends help read, explain the contract for you before sign it (If you don´t want to get it translate)

Take your Thai friend(s) that help you out for food, Maybe a beer, and they more then happy to have help you out.

You don´t NEED to go to Immigration with TM.28.

You local police station can stamp it for you.

Well we can do that here in Nonthaburi.

I can only talk about True online, As i use them in my 4 years time here.

From the start i come here on 30 days i got in the Air port to 90 days ED-Visa / Extension, and now Married-Extension. (Yes i change condo a lot)

They only want front page of my passport, and me to sign up for a 6 month period.

I Think that fair.

I read on other forums that people from Australia have problem get there pension if outside Australia more then 6 month per year, have you look into that ?

At Nonthaburi Immigration one can´t wait for next Extension / addressee report to do it.

First time to late, you get a warning (At Nonthaburi Immigration) and they put a notice to you passport in the IT-System.

I know this because when i move to Bangkok after this, and i go report i change addressee at Bangkok Immigration, the women there smile at me, and say, She can see I be warn all ready about this, and that was 1 year after Nonthaburi warn me / put that notice in the IT-System.

But if you have a local police station close to your home, you can go there and do it.

Well here in Nonthaburi we can do it at a police station.

All so at Nonthaburi Immigration when you move, they want you to do the TM.30.

I know it is the house owner / landlord job, but here they get our self to make sure it is done.

I know Immigration office in Thailand have different way of doing thing. I only inform how it is for me here in Nonthaburi.

Yea, Nonthaburi want us to do the TM.30, i did my first 1 year Married-Extension May 2014.

And have to do it, Immigration put that slip from TM.30 in my passport and told me to keep there, or i might be fine if i get stop and check.

And they want to see that slip next year when i apply again for a 1 year Married-Extension.

And if i move before that time come, do the TM.28 and get my new landlord to do the TM.30 right away after i move.

Don´t know if that the correct law / rules, But that what they told me to do, so that what i am going to do, after all it is not that big of a deal for me.

What is the length of validity of the affidavits (or Statutory Declarations as the Australian Embassy in BKK provides)?

Would a 6 month old document be too old to be deemed acceptable?

At Nonthaburi Immigration Max 30 days. I was told in May 2014.

Even so the Danish Embassy told me 6 month, and the letter all so say 6 month.

Well. Nonthaburi can be special, i write that before on here.

This year on May month i got Married-Extension and income letter from my Embassy (Denmark) was not enough at Nonthaburi Immigration.

They want me to prove i send 40.000 baht or more pr month into Thailand to My Thai bank account.

So they want copy of all page in my bank book for that.

Are you sure that Kap Choeng Immigration allow 90 days report by mail ??

I ask as a freind of mine live in Surin for the past +3 years, and he be told they don´t do it by mail.

He did hes 90 days report 2 week ago where he ask them again, and was told again, that they don´t allow it.

Only want to ask and hear, so i can tell him about this.

Copy of your Passport that all they need the times i signup.

And of cause you need to know you address :-)

And you need to know if the place you live, allows you to use get you own phone line, True internet and so on.

Where i live i have ToT phone line, and True Internet is the only option here as the condo on the whole street have a "deal" about that.

So use other company for internet here, was a NO GO.

Well.

I did all must the same thing on May this year, i go from all must 3 years on ED-Extension to Married-Extension.

And Nonthabui Immigration want me to get letter from school saying i stop on same day as my ED-Extension run to. 5 June 2014.

Then i was ask to come 30 days before that day and apply for Married-Extension.

When i return 30 days before, they want some more paper then what in the requirement, and told me to come again 14 days before with all the paperwork..

I apply on 26 May 2014, and letter from school say i stop 5 June 2014.

I can understand why you worried, i did contact Nonthaburi Immigration, Bangkok Immigration, and call 1111, More then once all of them.

And no one was able to say for sure if it was possibly to do it. Yes, No, Not sure, wait and see. was some of the respond i got.

But all turn out to be okay at the end.

Only want to tell about My Immigration, And yes i know it, Nonthaburi Immigration is "strange" !!!!!

I have one as backup, when internet from True is bad, Use my VPN , and get around 75% of my normal speed, And i do think that okay for me.

I don´t think it is so bad, is it ?

A student have to go out side Thailand once a year to reapply for a "start ED-Visa" and the apply for Extension inside Thailand 3 time pr year.(so student get 4 X 90 days total)

The problem some school / student "might" have is the school sold one year teaching and all the paper work for Extension in a packed.

Now if the student have doing ED for more then a year, then the student have to leave Thailand for a 90 days ED Visa, that can be use for up to one year.

So i can see some problem between school and student, school might want more money to do the "extras" paper work.

The student might not want to pay more, want if he/she have to leave Thailand to reapply have a year from that date when coming back, and so on.

Thailand is a strange country some times.

I good Thai friend of mine is a teacher at a language school.
He told me a week ago or so, That the school he work for, and therefor all the teacher working there, was inform by the Immigration (pattaya)

That all student apply for Extension, that be in Thailand on ED more then 1 year, have to leave and reapply for a ED-Visa, as they not going to give them out for student that study for more then 1 year all ready. If they not apply before new rule August 2014.

A Fa-Rang friend to me (yea i have friends, get over it) that study in Nonthaburi told me all so a week ago, that hes school have giving him paper saying the same thing.

But he didn't know if the school find out them self, or Nonthaburi Immigration have inform them about it.

I'm thinking about enrolling in a course here in Thailand, I currently have a Non O extension based on marriage.

If I enroll then should I change my visa to a ED visa, I would like to know some details about the ED visa

Can I change my non O extension to an ED visa without leaving the country, How much does the ED visa cost and do I have to do border runs.

Just want to let you know that the opposite was not possible. I was staying on ED visa und wanted an extension for Thai spouse. My extension applications was denied. I had to leave the country to apply for a Non O spouse visa. Officer said I can't get extension for a different visa class...

I change from ED-Extension to Married-Extension on 26 May this year.

That what at Nonthaburi Immigration.

You on Married-Extension so you don´t NEED to change Extension reason for study.

If you want good teaching for your money, don´t use a Language (Ed-Visa/Extension) school, I think you get more for you money use private teacher, Go study at a University and so on.

Go to school more then the 4 hours pr week, If you really want to study and learn.

A tip if you want to use Language school (ED-Visa/Extension school)

Don´t pay full price, it is normal that 5.000 - 7.000 baht out of the total amount of baht is for doing the paperwork for for Immigration every 90 days.

So if they want 25.000 baht pr year, 200 hours, be sure not to pay more then 18.000-20.000 baht for it.

You have Married-Extension, So no NEED to pay for that, i am sure they "might" forget to explain that, because that "free" extras money for them.

At Nonthaburi Immigration both have to be around the home for the 30 days under review.

Because when get the call that Nonthaburi Immigration come in X hours, we both have to be at home.

Nonthaburi Immigration come and control home every year, i was told, and they have 2 people do that every day.

Yes i know my Immigration is strict, but we have a good talk to the 2 people come and check, and they say it is correct, we come every year.

So maybe check if you Immigration do that.

Well for Danish people, we can use monthly salary statement from work, pension and so on 

We can all so use our yearly Tax paper (tax statement).

I know i might not be same on other country Embassy.

Beside that in May this year i did my first Married-Extension at Nonthaburi Immigration, and even so i have my Income letter.

They want to see proof of me transfer 40.000 baht pr more into Thailand, So they want copy on that Thai bank book i use to transfer my money to.

Only a information, as i know many others here in Thailand on Married-Extension at other Immigration, Don´t need to show proof beside income letter.

You say you over 50 years and have the money, Then change Ed-Extension to Retirement-Extension is a option for you.

I change from Ed-Extension to Married-Extension on May this year, so i Think it be the same to change to Retirement-Extension for you, Pretty simple.

As they need to put your correct information (Your address) in the paperwork they make for you.

So that have same address is on school paper and you TM. 7

Have you rapport to you local police station or Immigration that your have move address (inside 24 hours after your move) use TM.28 ?

I am not sure if Bangkok is strict about this, but i live in Nonthaburi (Next to Bangkok) are here you get fine if not rapport it. I got a warning first time, as i did like everyone told me, put in my new address when do my next 90 days Extension, So i got a warning, And i all ways rapport inside 24 hours now. he he

Not 100% sure if the Bus 166 from victory monument  still go to Bangkok Immigration, But did early.

Only remember there is 2 Bus 166, one go to Pakked-Impact, and the other one out to Bangkok Immigration at Chaeng Wattana Rd.

Well the first 2 times the school was in Nonthaburi.

And there the Nonthaburi Immigration control the school on random days to see if the student come and study, See if one is there on the days one use on 90 days Ed-Extension (attendance schedule).

Check you Thai skill, see if you progress or not, Talk to you, might make you read from some paper, the school book and so.

Very basic speak, like name, age, where you come from, how long you being in Thailand, how long you study.

The check if you have 90% attendance, the first 6-8 month was only 50%, but the rule change.

The school have some student get the ED-Extension cancel, because they never come / didn't have the 90%, didn't progress enough, didn't come on the days it say in there attendance schedule.

The last school was in Bangkok, and there you study for 8 weeks, 4 weeks off, if one start steep 2 right after steep one, it be 16 week study, 8 weeks off and so on.

Bangkok Immigration Never control me or other student in the year i was there. Never come to the school to check if we was at class.

Never check my skill when i apply for 90 days more.

I don´t want to put school name here. Hope that okay mate.

About leaving for travel, ask the school before sign up, if you can study more hours pr week, so you later can take some time of.

But remember some school plan the step 1-2-3-4 and so on, base on 2-4-6 people sign up for it, and you might lose out, so if you skip step 2 because you want to travel, you might never get back on track / be behind.

Be 100% sure to go the school you want to join at take the free 1-2-3 hours,talk to the teacher, the student at the school.

Even if you like the first one, try a few more, so you can see/fell the different style of teaching and see what you like.

The 3 times i apply at a Language Schools, It have taking around 25-30 days from the day the school send the paper work to school have the answer.

A friend of mine in CM a month back wait 45 days before school have paper back.

So i say 25-45 days from the day school send you paperwork.

Once you apply for the new passport it doesn't matter how many pages you have left as they (apparently) cancel the old one immediately so even though you're cutting it fine you should be ok.

That must be for British people (and maybe other country )?

For Danish people we can use our passport onto the new one come, right now a friend of mine are waiting for hes new passport, but he is travel outside Thailand right now, He apply for new passport before leaving Thailand.

Our passport dont get cancel before we go to Embassy to pickup the new passport.
