At least that's a positive start from the new Governor. -
Thailand Ready to Attend Global Climate Meeting in Egypt Next Month
Partenavia replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It would be fine if you could actually see something happening here. There should be solar panels everywhere in the North, we have months of sunshine, but there isn't, it's the exception rather than the rule. -
Thailand to declare “Bangkok Goals” at APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting
Partenavia replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
All sounds good, however, nothing will happen. It's just the way things are here. -
I know it's off topic, but please, why on earth are they all wearing masks outdoors?

TAT supporting sustainable tourism through Thailand Privilege Card
Partenavia replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
These imbeciles have no concept of what is happening in the outside world, it's sad that the general level of education seems to prohibit the understanding of the way the world operates. They churn out on what seems to be a daily basis, statistics which are meaningless. -
If they want to attract retired people from Europe, who actually spend reasonable amounts of money, and would like to stay 4 or 5 months, during winter in Europe, then it would be a good idea to look at the insane visa requirements. Totally unnecessary and intrusive requirements. Most take one look and go elsewhere.

I usually enjoy reading Rooster's take on Thai life, however, today's just came across as a rant, as if you were deliberately trying to stir things up. Though for the life of me I don't understand the totally unnecessary rubbish you wrote about the Queen's funeral. Clearly you don't understand the ceremony behind the funeral. What a sad person you are.

Prayut No Longer Politically Righteous To Come Back: Academics

I suspect the decision has already been made, hence his comments. Just pausing to make it look correct. -
You have to feel sorry for the Thai's, Prawit is surely the worst possible PM. Unless the Thai nation reacts and chucks this lot out, apathy will allow just let them get away with it.

Could you afford to live in the UK compared to Thailand?
Partenavia replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Once the floods of tourists from China resume, it will be back to where we were before Covid. Prices will rise accordingly. Make the comparison then. Lifestyle counts for a great deal, and I'm far more comfortable in the UK now, returning for holiday's only. -
Thailand Ranked Among Top 5 Destinations for Chinese Travelers

That article is totally pointless. -
Doesn’t the TAT want tourists here in Thailand?
Partenavia replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It is Thailand's loss that they make Tourist visa's so difficult to get. -
You can go to any Mall car park entrance, and watch the cars/trucks coming in. I guarantee 2/3rds are not wearing seat belts. There is no interest in enforcement. So this is just a waste of time, but guess it looks good.

TAT and Huawei sign MOU to promote smart tourism
Partenavia replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Simplified tourist visa's would be far more beneficial than all twaddle they spout. The requirements for a longer tourist visa are ridiculous. People will look, and move on to another country. TAT is beyond stupid. -
Paperwork is clogging up government departments in Thailand
Partenavia replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
They make the rules about copying all documents, because it seemed like a good idea at the time. Then computers came along. However, by this time the official who had authorized the copying had died. as no one can question this official it's left as it is. -
Tourism ministry dual pricing proposal for hotel rates
Partenavia replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It is truly amazing the stupidity of those who purport to run this country, announcements of this nature show the total ignorance they have of the rest of the world. We have a war in Europe, and the after effects of Covid making a huge impact in the world. It is really sad that the ordinary people of Thailand are being led backwards.
