  1. I use Skype for calling the bank in Canada. It works very well and you can use their 800 number.

I do the same for all free phone numbers in NZ. Ours are 0800 numbers. I have a subscription that allows me to call all landlines for about $10 per month and I'm always using it to call banks, insurance companies, anybody that has an 0800 number, as well as family of course.

Sometimes Telecom in NZ rejects the call - I suspect that are able to detect Skype calls somehow. But I just redial and after a few attempts it invariably goes through.

  2. A cheapie table of which there are a gazillion.

But remember that generally ya gets what ya pays for.

Me I'd lump for the Kindle Fire.

I like the 43% off Galaxy Tab lite

Are these genuine or cheap copies ?

Obviously hard to know by site maybe, but is it common to sell cheaper copies then the real manufacturer items ?

  3. sorry im sure this is in the forum probably multiple times but I'm in the middle of all the emotions tied to a breakup, plus the insecurities of not being able to stay here.

my wife wants to breakup and she is saying she wants to go with me to get divorce?

i only got the non 0 visa in january

how does this affect my next immigration office visit that i have to go to every 3 months

should i go with her and get divorce or just let her do it? does it cost money?

i dont want to leave thailand

not sure what my options are, any advice is much appreciated

    thank you

Anyhow I love to swim and was wonder where to buy stinger suits , any links .

  6. Thank you once again ubonjoe :)

Got married today and registered :)

Staying in Bangkok an extra night to ensure everything is done right concerning visa.
I'm going to do the 60 day extension as I'm not prepared non o visa wise

My question and hopefully my last for awhile :P is should I just go to Canadian embassy in Bangkok as I know where it is etc, or do I have to go to a seperate immigration office ? Or both ?

    Thank you :)
  7. thank you ubonjoe :)

what is wifes house book registry ?

entry/permitted to stay stamp im assuming is is in visa book ?

    TM6 departure card ?

sorry this is all new to me

ok so tomorrow get married and registered in Bangkok at any district office, then head back towards Khanom and stop at local immigration office for 60 day extension ? then open bank account as soon as possible< i can only transfer so much per week as my Canadian bank account has safety limits so will take 3 weeks

should i have the marriage cert translated to english, it says it may then be notarized at either the Thai ministry of foreign affairs or at Canadian Embassy < i just want to get back home to Khanom lol

  8. ok I'm in Bangkok and will have all documents  certified tomorrow morning :)

next step is marriage which can do tomorrow too & have registered :)

so then my visa still runs out on friday and the next steps i have to do im confused about

do I have to fly to another country for Non O visa and if so where would be easiest and cheapest ?

do I have to return to Bangkok embassy or can i fly closer to where I live which is Khanom ( near Ko Samui ) and go to a local immigration office etc ?

I have not had money in thai bank account yet as banks in Khanom were a pain

im i better off getting a 60 day extension to visit new wife till i get everything in order for non o visa ?

    thank you
