I have just finished the full routine (for me) at Jomtien Immigration (Soi5) this is a report of my personal experience.
End of March received new passport, went to Immigration, details transferred from old passport, (no charge)picked up next day, went straight to 90 day reporting, I was asked verbally to confirm my address, I confirmed and added I have lived there for eleven years (company house) . I then applied to British Embassy for proof of income letter, received this and waited until Songran mayhem finished. Went back to immigration last Friday and submitted paperwork for new extension, collected passport this morning complete with new extention and then submitted paperwork for re-entry permit, all completed I left the office having been there one hour.
My extension is marked "retirement" it is not a visa. At no time during any of the above procedures was I asked to complete a TM30, I have never completed one in the past and this was my twelfth extension. Hope this info is helpful but TIT and someone else could have a different experience, I can only report on mine.

Well it wasn't a wedding and they are not married ! Gay marriage is not recognised in Thailand so it was just a very expensive off fee!

I wish someone would tell Reuters that when the British Union FLAG is flown from a flag pole it is 'THE UNION FLAG. It only becomes a Union Jack when it is flown off the stern of one of Her Majesty's Royal Navy Ships! I am inclined to agree that this is a stunt by the Spanish to distract people from other issues on Brexit. Keep calm team and crack on with the other stuff. Gibraltar will never, ever be ceded to Spain and the EU do not have the authority to overturn the Agreement of Utrecht. Spain might like to return a couple of Island to Morocco that they stole!
The Union Jack is never flown from the stern of the Royal Navy ships !

I renewed my passport last week, last year I received a "proof of life" letter from the UK pensions so I used their covering letter and that worked. From application to receipt of passport was two weeks!
