He did not tarnish it.... His reputation got tarnished from Democrat hogwash vendettas and their using the courts to attack him viciously in the hopes that he would never run for president again. Which, most of the voters seem to realize which ifs why he will be the next president again. Why you still do not see that is beyond me.

Lets see if she is serious about it. There is a huge caravan that began a week ago trying to get into the US before Trump takes office. If she stops them then we will know if she is serious or not. About 1,500 migrants form new caravan in Mexico https://www.borderreport.com/immigration/about-1500-migrants-form-new-caravan-in-mexico/

The '50-50 Race' Pre-Election Polls Were Phony

As i said.. any girl you marry and pay sinsod is going to make you babies.... The more you tell about this the more it seems you are trying to make her a surrogate mother to bear you a kid and give it to you. The mother may see it this way also and be asking for payment. Not for sinsod. If this is true. Then you still should not give 100k. If I recall. There was a man who wanted to impregnate about 30 women here. He would support them monthly making monthly payments and taking care of their medical. Once the baby was born he would give them the largest part of the agreed price and take the kid... I think he is in jail now after an apartment was raided with about 20 women pregnant by him. Be careful, surrogacy is illegal in Thailand.

Haha.... from what i have read and seen.... The average thai man could not afford to give the same amount a foreigner could give. Also, The Thai family will initially ask for quite a lot of money if the intended husband is a foreigner. It is about saving face as well. Foreigners are richer. The sinsod is paraded down the street as you march to the house. Make no mistake that the amount is discussed between all the neighbors, family and friends at how lucky your girl is to have a rich husband that can pay so much for sinsod. At my Thai wedding, I walked a kilometer with a parade of young and old men and women dancing in the streets behind me and the 400k in cash and the 20 baht in gold going to the family house to claim my wife to be. Fortunately for me and my wife, that sinsod was returned to us that evening under our bed discreetly. The family did not want our money or gold and only cared their daughter was happy and would be well taken care of. But at the same time wanted all involved in the wedding to see a large amount being shown. Only a rich Thai man could come up with so much cash and gold. So in reply to your question, NO... Thai man normally do not put up more than about 50k and maybe 1 or 2 baht in gold for sinsod.

Kamala Harris' Post-Election Video Goes Viral

I was reading about how she has laid off thousands of campaign workers without any thanks or compensation. So perhaps those left are not responding for a reason. -
Teacher Arrested for Allegedly Scamming Parents of Over 400,000 Baht
thesetat2013 replied to snoop1130's topic in Isaan News
Funny thing happened at my children's school during a parent/teacher meeting. The teacher has requested that every week the parents send money with the child so the teacher can deposit it into an account for the child to save. My child is 4 years old haha.... What can he learn from this that is not taught at home already with his piggy bank. i told the wife not to do it. There is too much risk that the teacher can easily withdraw all monies and keep it.. But somehow the teacher has convinced all the parents in the class to do this. She does not see the opportunity that presents itself to a teacher who has access to all accounts of all children in the class. She will also be holding the bank book. It is my intention to speak to the director to inquire of the school is aware of what the teacher is doing and supporting it. I already caught the teachers offering tutoring classes that the school had banned. Using the paid classes to teach what will be on the tests. The director took action and ended that. My point is that teachers not only influence the students. They also gain the trust of parents to do stupid things. No one ever questions the teachers requests until it is too late. So they are bound to get screwed over eventually. -
South Korean influencer sparks concern regarding Thai work permit
thesetat2013 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Influencers make money on their podcasts. So they should be required to have the work permit and pay taxes on income made in Thailand. It is their work. Make no mistake. If Thailand can catch every one of them doing this and profiting and force them to pay. perhaps the internet will have less influencers which (in my opinion) is a good thing. -

Kamala Harris' Post-Election Message To Her Supporters
thesetat2013 replied to rwilem's topic in Political Soapbox
Hehe.... I am reading in other news that even her financial supporters are saying she needs to get out of politics. She could not manage 1.5 billion dollars in donations to her campaign so how could she manage the US budget and expenditures. They will not support her anymore either. -
Sounds to me more like you are seeking a surrogate mother.. The sinsod has nothing to do with paying for a wedding or house or gold. Those are separate and can also be considered sinsod. Gold will be part of the sinsod along with cash. Make no mistake... A house, car, etc... You will end up purchasing anyway in the future...because the marriage will not last....She is out for cash. If you pay her sinsod you have the opportunity to lose all 3000 plus the woman and house and chance to make a kid. Sinsod does not guarantee anything and is paid up front. Marriage will cost you over 1500 USD with party and wedding ceremonies alone. Sinsod is a gift.... not a promise or anything like that.. The family can take the money and keep it and kick you out on the street with the only option of getting that money back will be showing proof it was not a gift and was indeed a dowry payment. It has happened in Thailand many times even with Thai men and woman. The costs to retrieve that money will exceed the money you gave them should they cancel the wedding. Once again you show you do not really need this woman... You want a kid. I understand that.. But any woman you marry will give you a kid.. So i do not see what is your rush to have this woman and her (baggage) kids along with the deal. You only plan to come into Thailand a few months in a year. You can be sure she will find lovers or a boyfriend during that time and continually ask you for money monthly while you are gone to support her and the family. You think right now differently and want to justify her requests but you do not look at what will really happen. You are setting yourself up for disaster in the future. Once you are married, she will demand money all the time. It will be your responsibility to support her and most likely her family as well. For your few months a year in Thailand you would only spend a 1000 to 1500 USD renting a condo and a car. Without any obligatory money to her and her family. Just so you know.. the youngest daughter in the family obtains the house and land when the parents die. Also, any woman you are in relations with would allow you to sleep in their family home if you are in relations with them and wanting to marry. This woman is offering you nothing special except a lot of financial recourse in the future. Eventually, you will be having to pay for her other kids also. Even though now she is not asking this. Have no doubt this will happen.

Never fear folks... the Thaksins are back in charge and will fix everything. Another stimulus handout? Sure no problem. Come vote for them... The Thailand education system with their no-fail rule makes so that everyone has a degree even if they did not learn anything in school. Also, being this country is geared towards tourism so much that there are not many new opportunities open for anyone who recently graduated.. Then you have the problem of starting wages being so low. When the Thai do find work in their field they expect to get paid a lot. But noone pays alot for someone who passed their degree and perhaps knows nothing about it. It takes years to prove you can be an asset. Then you have those who accepted the job at minimal wages but the whole time they work they complain and seek other work paying more. They want those big bucks now even if they have not worked for it or earned it.

perhaps you did not understand the dowry... if she already has a kid from someone else... you do not need to pay dowry. They can demand it. But if they do they only want so they can get that money from you. Dowry is abused by so many Thai families because the foreigner does not understand it. The dowry goes to the family. Not to your wife. So does not need to be paid if she is tainted (used loosely) with a child from another man. On a side note. She should feel lucky she has found you. With a child in tow from another man pretty much no Thai man will want to marry her. Or not very many. Which is why there are so many single mothers in Thailand. If you already have a kid with her then why do you not tell the woman and or family that you will put the 100k in an account in the childs name only. At least that way you will not really be losing it. So your child will be sure to have a future. The dowry is really only supposed to be paid to the family for a woman who never had kids with another man and never been married. It seems to me like the dowry is a big issue for your wife. Which makes me think she or her family are more concerned with getting that money that with their childs happiness and future having at least one grandchild with both legitimate parents. You also seem to think that her other child from a different man will not be your responsibility in raising. You will learn in time that is an incorrect assumption and you will end up supporting her and all the kids. Especially if there is a Thai father. He will not support the kid long after she remarries or marries you. (but she'll let me live in her home) She does not let you live there. She chooses to do this to be together there on her terms using your money. If there is a problem between both of you. Then you can be sure your ass will be on the street quickly. If you plan to buy a condo, or think you will. Best to do it prior to any legitimate marriage or she will obtain it in the future. You are only 22... and seems that you are not thinking too much about future possibilities simply because she had your kid along with another mans child. Your life is just starting out. Be careful the choices you make. I would hate to see your life ruined and future poverty and misery caused by such a marriage.

Thai teacher confesses to sexually abusing schoolboys
thesetat2013 replied to snoop1130's topic in Central Thailand News
Sounds like this teacher can expect life imprisonment. Too bad he does not face worse actions. People like this need to be castrated or killed. A lifetime of suffering in prison is not enough. -
actually. He should have #1 insurance on his car that would pay to have it fixed. I do not suggest you give him 1 baht. Instead file a claim with your insurance. Let them manage it especially since your lessor seems to have already chosen to evict you. I also suggest you read through your rental agreement to find the clause that gives him the right to evict you for this cause. Although, he can make any excuse he wants to if he really wants to evict you. You can fight it but it will be costly and require expertise with a lawyer.

You are crazy to pay sindsod for a woman who has 2 kids already. Sinsod is given to first timers. Not to women with kids already. She should be lucky she will have a man who will even support her Thai kids. She is milking you for the money. Get out of it quickly. It will only get worse and your 100,000 will be long gone. https://marrythailand.com/thailand-dowry./ should the bride be a divorcee or a "Mia Maiy" - a spoiled/ruined wife, normally no dowry is paid. If she has a child or children from a former marriage or relationship no dowry is paid either.

Thai housemaid’s 100 million baht fortune hits a legal snag
thesetat2013 replied to snoop1130's topic in Koh Samui News
She did everything wrong. She bypassed the Thai laws paying some Thais to use their names as 51% ownership so she could open her business and buy land using the business name. Although it is common practice to do it this way with foregners wanting to open a business, that does not make it legal. So many foreigners open their businesses this way skirting Thai laws and think it is ok to do it. But that does not change the facts they broke the laws and when caught will lose everything they invested and earned in their business. I feel bad for the maid, she should get something. But the French womans actions can not be denied. I hope other foreigners in this site pay hede to what can happen when the authorities find out they opened their businesses this way. -
Teen and Stepfather Clash with Knives in Pattaya, Both Injured
thesetat2013 replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
What has happened to the youths in Thailand? No respect for anyone anymore. not even the elders. Thailand likes to brag about their culture and how the child takes care of family. But more and more I see stories about how the children attack, mame or kill the parents or grandparents over miniscule things like a few hundred baht or not giving money to buy something they wanted. Stupid reasons always for the injuries and deaths the child causes. Has the countries school systems, teachers and the parents lack of giving the child a sense of responsibility finally caught up to this country and showing itself in these types of incidences? I sure hope my own kids learn their sense of responsibility as they grow up. I try everyday to teach them this at home and know nothing about it is taught in their schools. -
Public Bus Accidents in Thailand Surge by 46.5%
thesetat2013 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Road safety is one of the reasons i bought the biggest chevy truck available. At least i can drive and feel a little more secure in knowing if there is an accident. They have to plow through a lot of metal to get to me or my family. Even someone in a Fortuner will shy away from me knowing my car will destroy theirs in an accident. But the buses, they do not care how they drive. They do what they want. Change lanes how they want. Stop in the middle of the road if they want. I have seen some crazy ways the buses drive.. Hard to believe they ever had training to do the job.
