  1. Is it 45 days plus another 45 days from 1 Oct to 31 March or 45 and 30. Thank you very much in advance.
  2. Thank you very much. It will be much easier for me as I will be in Nakhon Phanom, much closer than Vientiane.
  3. I guess it depends how much the corrupted cops are going to put in their pockets. I agree 1,000 Bahts is pretty well the norm in Pattaya.
  4. Thank you very much for your help. Greatly appreciated.
  5. Where it says “Accommodations Name” it says “City” not Province, I know Pattaya is in Chon Buri Province. You said to book a hotel for one night and it should be ok. I thing that ticks me off, I am married and, on the Application, it says “Invitation letters from family/friends in Thailand (of the first visit). I have spent the last 16 winters in Thailand and I have stayed at my wife’s house or spent some times in Pattaya with the wife. The new format sucks.
  6. I’ll have to double check because it says “City” you are probably right. But I want to apply for a Tourist Visa (M) because I booked my flight early May before the price went up and it is for 6 months. As you know, many things changed on the 1 July.
  7. I need your help big time. I did a dry run for an EVisa application for METV and their form is not very well designed. I am from Canada and I would like to apply for a Tourist Visa (M). Where they ask where to stay in Thailand, I write down the name of the apartment where I stayed before, not a problem, but when they ask for the city, Pattaya is not even on the list. One other option, it would be to stay at my wife’s house, but they ask for a proof or a letter of invitation, which is totally ridiculous. If I go to Thailand on a 30-day, I could get another 30 days. Correct? After, if I go to Vientienne, can I get a Tourist Visa (M) for 6 months. My last option would be to go to Savannaket for a marriage Visa. Do you have a link telling me what would be required? Thank you very much for your time.
  8. What I meant is by the time I get my Visa before my departure, a few days will be gone and the Tourist Visa (M) is good for 6 months and from the time I depart and the time I come back it 182 days. But I will do as you mentioned, before my Visa expires, I will do a border hop. Do I have to stay overnight or just go across and come back the same day?
  9. I am in Canada right now, I am going to Thailand 12 Oct 22-12 April 23. I can apply for a Tourist Visa (M) (EVisa) at the Thai Embassy in Ottawa, but because it takes a few working days to process, I will overstay my Visa. That is why I was wondering if I could do a border run, get 30 days, this way I will not be overstaying.
  10. I didn’t really plan an overstay, I booked my flight early and I will be in Thailand for 6 months, I am going to apply for a Tourist Visa (M) which is good for 6 months but if it takes a couple of weeks to get it, I will need an extension somehow. Another option would be to go to Thailand on my 30 days and during that time make an appointment in Vientienne for a Tourist Visa (M). Do you think that it might be a better idea?
  11. If I go to Thailand with a Tourist Visa (M) and I overstay my Visa by a few days, can I get an extra 7 days for 1,900 Baths or is it better to do a border run and get 30 days? If I do a border run to Laos for example, can I go across the border and come back the same day? Thank you very much in advance for your always helpful information.
