Sorry to burst your bubble but I get out almost every day and mix with the Thai people!

Bars, pubs, and discos went the by way 20 some years ago!

Diplomas are only a piece of paper and easily forged so no thank you on the dinner invite

as it would prove nothing!

( Look at the US president, possibly a forged birth certificate and social security card! )

I know one Thai lady who could not get a US visa so she had her name changed

along with work history and everything else.

She went again to US embassy and 'bingo', she got her visa!

The majority of TV members have a university educated gf or wife, so I don't think the avoid farang relationships.

I have never come across any Farangs with a university educated wife in my eight years of living here. Mrs Possum was in full time education till she was 22 years old, that's the nearest I've seen. If my experience of Farangs is anything to go by, I would say most TV members are married to ex bargirls, and I'll tell you what, every single one of them that I know are much better people and are more hospitable than any girl I have known in the UK.

I would say, and this is only an opinion, ex bargirls are more likely to make better wives than university girls.

Never came across any farangs married to University educated Thai? Miust not get out much, if you pay for dinner I'll meet with you and my wife and have her bring her diploma along, also her sister is a chemical engineer and I have a friend coming in May whose wife is also University grad and lives and works with him in USA. There is an expat group in Bangkok ( I would give name but don't want to be warned again for promoting or advertising a place) that most of all of the expats are college grads and their Thai wives are as well.

Among my friends we say the best way for a Thai girl to get rid of her Thai

boyfriend is to tell him she is pregnant!

In general, Thai girls will most of the time get themselves a good Thai boy.

Who will consequently, very many times at least, leave them as soon as the pressures of parenthood get to heavy, which is mostly very soon.

And after that said Thai girls many times opt for a farang.

When I wire money, which is from a small bank, I tell them to send US dollars to the Thai bank

instead of doing the exchange at the halfway point.

I was told I get a better exchange rate that way.

Wow, what a statement!

Been here in Thailand for 28 years and have never meet someone married to

a university student.

Been told by girls they are going to university and even shown an ID from the university but after

getting to know the girl they are an escort or massage lady.

It's a "mixed-bag."

Most wouldn't risk the disapproval and ridicule

from their peer group. Occasionally, you could find

a curious one that needs "sponsorship."

Go to Asia Books and buy one of the books on Thai lifestyle and marriage to a Thai girl.

Never heard of a farang meeting the family without going out for a meal

and you know who is paying for it, the farang!

The family could care less about you as long as the money keeps coming in!

Gone with ladies all the way from the bars and massages all the way up to nurses

and office girls. Even if you get married to this lady you will never know the full story

on her life! It is such a secret society that most of us do not ever learn about!

They will keep their boyfriends and husbands even if married to you and

you take her to another country. They even send money back to them that you do not know about!

Stop giving her money and you will be history in a heart beat!

Don't get me wrong, some of them have feelings, but behind that big smile and those slanted eyes,

lookout.! That clever little mind is thinking all the time!

Thai values are different than farang but farang are always trying to change the Thai girls

into our way of thinking and life!

I have never heard of a 'well to do' Thai lady wanting to marry a farang!

Think of it as Sex and money and you will be much further ahead and

you will still have a bank a account!

Men have never been treated so well and the ladies and their families

are living the high life!

Two to three months; no way!!
