Where you hear those complaints?  Some of the 1000 bars or massage shops in Pattaya?  "Slow, no customer"...

I am hearing/seeing just the opposite at many businesses.  Growth is at a five year high, people are coming here in droves, and the economy is doing well.

Most Thais have no education on economics and would have no clue what the "economy" is.  But, people love to wallow in negativity and sadness for themselves in some odd way it makes them feel empowered.

If the hotels are full it doesn't mean the economy running well, also the average thai has nothing to do with hotels and tourists

The same in any country, don't let it get your blood pressure up!

Really?Try that in Germany. You will get a ticket for blocking the fast lane or a Porsche or Benz will blow you away while passing you with 300 Kmh.

Somebody said it's so nice to drive in USA,I think it's most terrible to drive there.I always in danger of falling asleep while driving. What's the point of having a speed limit of 65-75 Mph let's say from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. It's dangerous and annoying

It is technically not legal to receive medications by mail without a pharmaceutical import license (which you cannot get). However if small in amount and sent by regular post it will probably get through. If sent by a courier it probably will not.

It is not an issue of fee.

Small amount hmm,I think small is relative

Mazda has only sued some crazy owners who didn’t a their generous offer and stated to bash Mazda in socials media. The problem only affected a small number of cars but there owners thought they can press a lot from Mazda.

And BTW, this has no influence on the sales of Mazda. The story is already forgotten in the Thai media. Mazda performs very well. They sell a lot of cars even though there are quite a small company.

Mazda makes very good and reliable cars. The reputation of the Mazda 2 and CX-5 is very high.

Mazda sells a lot or not or is a great car who cares? You don't sue your customers, whatever they do or say.Yeah maybe they sell a lot of cars, but that's because here is takatukaland.Japanese automakers pay a lot so government keeps the tax high for other brands.Yes in Thailand they can sue their customers because no selection of other car brands. In the rest of the world Mazda would have to shut down production and sales if they sue their customers.

There are three ways to address problems such as this one: education, education and education. My wife started giving computer education to primary 4 and 5 kids at the local school; in a class of ten, three can neither read nor right. No hopers like these will end up motorbike taxis in Pattaya, where they'll use their position of strength vis-a-vis the naive tourists to extort them while greatly enjoying doing it.

There is only one problem, the taxi riders have to pay to much to their bosses and these bosses are the police

  6. With waiting times of 180,240 or more seconds for the next green phase I have an understanding why many thais  don't brake but accelerate at a junctions, besides that green light for you does not mean you can just drive off,you still have to look right or left if the junction is free,it's not wise to drive off at green light without being alerted about traffic from right or left. RIP young man

  7. Which international health insurances paying directly to hospitals? For example if I have a car accident , fall from the roof of my house,or get heart attack I don't want to deal with any bills.I want the insurance is dealing with that from the moment I was admitted to the hospital[show my insurance card and done].

My my, those government funded ED prescriptions for the civil servant class are getting to be pretty pricey!

But hey, there's only a 5-fold difference in the health care budget allocated to civil servants vs. the health care budget allocated to UC recipients (low income Thais).

I think what you wanted to say was “Submarines and luxury watches are very expensive “!

Didn’t they just raise alcohol tax and sugar tax  to finance the health care system?

FEAR, It runs on fear I can tell you now when you enter some Northern villages a  sign as you enter  will say "This is a RED  village" can u imagine the peer pressure to vote "Red" and what people would say/do if you openly  opposed this. Seen it in LOEI province. Its not just voting it extends to, it goes deep DEEP into the Thai society, but...............that cant be mentioned !

What else should they vote for if not red???

The above is the right tack to take for the party, actually the right tack to take for all the parties.

If the PTP and all the other parties meekly accept that the Junta has absolute authority to set rules and regulations governing the election, then it is likely over before it begins. Parties that do not like the Junta should be stating loudly that any election that doesn't have consent on the rules will not be seen as legitimate.

The one and only reason that the Junta is even talking about an election is that they want to have some form of legitimacy. And as this is the one and only reason, this is the leverage that the political class has; only they can give legitimacy to a process.

I would actually advise the parties to take things a step further. I would point out that both Thaksin and Yingluck were elected in a process that was generally seen by all as fair and legitimate, and challenge them to meet the standard set. This will both annoy the Junta (good thing) and create a benchmark for a clean(ish) election.

If the Junta is allowed to set the rules unilaterally, then all of this is a waste of time.

I remember the democrats boycotted the last free election in 2014 and the EC called the election invalid, maybe that's a way to get free and fair elections.
