Feel sorry for the girl and hope she can leave unharmed to Australia or any other safe country, but what makes me really wonder is how embassy personal gets entrance to a closed and locked area in the transit zone and take away travel documents from travelers. If that is not normal then that means the thai immigration supported the saudi embassy personal stealing her passport, who knows maybe they carried also weapons

The country voted to leave the EU, not to leave with one foot still stuck in the door which is what a soft brexit is, it's likened to being a bit pregnant I suppose.
Don't you think it would be only fair to have a new referendum? Two years ago nobody really knew what means brexit now I assume most of the people know about the pros and cons of brexit or staying in the EU

Rights group urges Thailand not to return Saudi woman fleeing family

BANGKOK/DUBAI (Reuters) - A human rights group urged Thai authorities on Monday to halt plans to deport an 18-year-old Saudi woman who says she is fleeing abuse from her family and fears they will kill her if she is returned home.
Rahaf Mohammed al-Qunun said she fled Kuwait while her family was visiting the Gulf country and had planned to travel on from Thailand to Australia to seek asylum. She said she was detained after leaving her plane in Bangkok and told she would be sent back to Kuwait.
She was scheduled to be sent back on Kuwait Airways flight 412 leaving at 11:15 a.m. local time (0415 GMT).
"My brothers and family and the Saudi embassy will be waiting for me in Kuwait," Qunun told Reuters by text and voice message from a Bangkok transit hotel late on Sunday.
"They will kill me," she said. "My life is in danger. My family threatens to kill me for the most trivial things."
Thai immigration authorities denied Qunun's allegations they were acting at the behest of the Saudi government, saying she was refused entry to Thailand on Saturday night because she did not have the proper documents for a visa on arrival.
A representative from the Saudi embassy in Thailand said there was no one available to comment.
New York-based Human Rights Watch said Thailand should not send Qunun back to her family because she is an adult who faces danger.
"Thai authorities should immediately halt any deportation, and either allow her to continue her travel to Australia or permit her to remain in Thailand to seek protection as a refugee," Michael Page, deputy Middle East director at Human Rights Watch, said in a statement on Monday.
Qunun said she had obtained an Australian visa and booked a flight. She said she planned to spend a few days inThailand, a popular destination for medical treatment, so she would not spark suspicion when she left Kuwait.
"When I landed at the airport, someone came and said he would process the (Thai) visa but he took my passport. He came back with what seemed to be airport security and said that my parents objected and said I must return to Saudi Arabia via Kuwait Airways," she said.
She said she believed she was stopped after her family appealed to Kuwait Airways. A spokesman for Kuwait Airways said he had no information about the case.
Thai immigration chief Surachate Hakparn said he had had no contact with Saudi officials or Thailand's foreign minister before Qunun's arrival. He said she was denied entry because she did not have a paid return ticket or a hotel reservation.
"She was over-exaggerating ... She fled her family from Saudi Arabia and arrived in Thailand but she didn't have necessary documents to enter. Thai immigration had to deny her entry," he said, describing such cases as standard procedure.

Why she should want to enter thailand if she has a ticket to Australia?

I don't understand what does thai immigration has to do with a transit passenger? It's like thai immigration forced her into thailand, and how anybody could take her passport away while in transit?

If it would be so easy then why does the UK not have an agreement with the EU already?
It is obviously not easy. It's not easy because there are thousands of different issues which are connected with each other.
It's impossible to not want one thing but to keep all the other things.
May tried to find a compromise and it seems that will go nowhere.
Do you really think crashing out will be all in all good for the UK? Maybe some things will be better but hundreds of others will be worse. Is it worth it?
And where will all those nurses and others come from? Because there are obviously not enough British people who want to work in those jobs.
Nobody said it's easy.Is it worth it?I think yes,the brits will be independent that maybe has a higher value than anything else. There are nurses not only in the EU.Hard Brexit will happen,it was clear from the start the EU will not make it easy for the UK.Miss May is trying to get a better deal for the UK,but most hardliners don't want that, they don't want any relation with the EU.I don't think there will be a 2nd referendum, because if the pro EU side wins the UK will look like totally idiots.

Often I read The Guardian and basically everybody agrees that leaving the EU is a stupid idea.
There are hundreds of good reasons how the UK benefits if they stay.
And I am still waiting to see reason why anybody thinks the UK will be better off outside the EU.
And then here in this forum there still seem to be lots of people who somehow feel (think would be the wrong word) that there is a bright future after crashing out of the EU.
Do you all follow the news from time to time? Which part of the not existing bright future don't you understand?
It seems many of you still dream about cake, cherries and unicorns, even if nobody can describe that place where all these wonderful things are.
People who still think crashing out deserve nothing better. But then there are the younger generations in the UK who have to suffer because of the people who somehow feel some time ago everything was better and who somehow feel that somehow without the EU it will be better again.
Enjoy your dreams - before reality kicks in.
And remember: Reality Is That Which, When You Stop Believing In It, Doesn't Go Away
Sorry to say that but I think you have absolutely no understanding what the Brits actually want. It's not about cherries and cakes. They want to decide who can come to there country, they want to decide who to support with there money, they don't want the EU telling them what they can do or not do.They are so lucky they got the opportunity to chose. If other counties would have the opportunity to chose, then the EU would be past already.Miss Merkel,Junker the alcoholic should be nice so they can hope the brits pay 39B.

Plain Sitagliptin comes only as Januvia brand and will probably be no easier to find than Janumet.
Try at a large pharmacy, often these are to be found near hospitals. By a large pharmacy I mean a Thai store that sells only medications, not a Boots or Watsons type place.
Google maps lists a number of pharmacies. Disregard the Boots one of course:
Ok,thanks a lot I will let you know.

If you are taking Janumet 50/1000 you are already taking sutaglipton and metformin and Janumet is the only brand of it available here. Larger pharmacies will have it. Where in Thailand do you live?
It will be quite expensive though as it is an import.

Hi thanks for reply,I'm in Sriracha area,my Janumeds are almost empty so I'm trying to find it here.Since it is difficult to find here I thought I buy Sitagliptin and take it together with Metformin

Britain can afford to leave EU. Most of the debt ridden countries cannot afford to leave, they are still waiting for a bailout from Germany, Britain and Scandinavia.
When Britain leaves, it may well trigger a collapse. But not by the sponging countries.
It will be by other countries that wonder who is going to pay all the debt.
Germany created most of the debt. Let Germany pay it off. (it was Germany that gave credit to basket case countries, it was Germany that begged every illegal migrant to flood Europe) Sponger countries cannot afford to leave EU.
Belgium, France, Greece, Italy and many eastern European countries have lost control of the population and it can only get worse.
I like the UK to stay but I guess it's the right thing if they leave and also I'm really curious what will happen in the future if they leave

How about, just leave. No deals with EU, the vote was to quit from sponging EU.
When Britain gets rid of the cancer that is EU, the rest of the world will be more than willing to create trade with GB.
The world is bigger than the EU.
When can you realise that EU needs Britain, not the other way around?
When will you realise that EU is almost in freefall. The total debt of all the dud countries in the EU is out of control?
When will you realise that many EU citizens are dying for the silly migration policies that an unelected EU imposes on all Europe?
When will EU create some border control for non EU citizens?
When will you realise that a passport is valuable? When will you realise that cheap labour can be obtained from other countries other than EU?
When can you understand that it is EU that is playing poker? They need some country to help pay off all the debt that EU owes. EU needs Britain.
Britain has never needed EU.
You are right 95%,but in my opinion they will not run behind the UK even if they need to do,because if they do, other members will follow the UK.You complain about cheap labour from the EU but in the same sentence you are saying you can obtain them from other countries. From where?Anyways i think that whole referendum should be declared invalid.First of all nobody knew actually what he was voting for,and second I think 52-48% is not enough to decide about a subject with this magnitude, maybe if 75% of the people vote for go or stay then its the real deal.Like that half of the population is not happy and it's hard to accept the outcome

Hi I have Diabetes 2 and taking Janumed 50/1000 tablets but can't find them here.So I thought I can take Sitagliptin together with Metformin.
But also have a problem to find it.Does anyone know where to find it and how much they are?Any other ideas also welcome.

It will now be possible for the result of the referendum to actually happen. Leave. That was the referendum.
There is no deal involved in that. Once UK leaves, EU will bend over backwards to make a deal.
EU is in a huge financial and political hole. It is mostly composed of basket case countries, disorder.
Take a look at France and another terrorist attack due to EU policies. Check out the debt of Greece, Italy and so many other countries.
Ms May has enjoyed spending huge swathes of money touring EU with all of her entourage, knowing full well that
her lobbyist deal was never going to make it. She like her lobbyists are nothing more than spongers.
But she has some great photo ops for her album. Eccept when history recalls her a a huge dud.
Yeah good idea, but what if the EU will not bend over for a deal? This is not a poker game.

i'm German and I like to UK to stay in the EU,but I think they doing the right thing.Sure it will be difficult times for the UK,but it will get better.Until 1993 everything was great, until 1993 the EU was called EEC(European Economic Community]All was only about economic integration, customs union and common market,a good thing I would say, wish we had the EEC back.Everything what came after 1993 is mostly a disaster, nothing is thought through. Now is 2018 and the (costly)big water head in Brussels is acting like a giant imperator and telling every member state what they can do or not do.I no need the EU to tell the member states how many immigrants they have to take,or how much a phone call should cost or how much child benefit a bulgarian kid should receive while in Germany. This whole EU thing should stop now and roll back to EEC only.
The UK will get a shit Brexit deal from the EU.Why the EU should give them a good deal?If they do and the UK is doing well, other EU members will follow them.Still the UK is doing the right thing, they did the right thing about "Schengen and Euro'and this time will be no difference

Switch over to Krungthai Bank KTB's 6200 health plan last year. Cheaper by 18,000 baht to any comparable International plan with my diabetes declared. Haven't needed to use it yet, but up front it offers everything the International ones promise they'll do.
Ktb does not have a health insurance,at least not at their website
