Bunnahabhain is also an Islay Whisky but not often found out with Scotland.
I know Islay fine.
I can see Islay most days when I am back home.

Just back from duty free Tachieleck with a
bottle of 12 year old Bunnabhain.

Been going to the Mad Dog for a long time, and in its previous guise as the Overlander.
Known Gai and Cookie from the Escape and always found them and the
other staff friendly.
Service is prompt and polite.
Never had any problems.

Never travelled 1st seems poor value.
Usually fly CM to BKK early morning and take the night train back.
Cold season 2nd class fan sleeper is fine
April, May, June 2nd class air con sleeper no worries.
Spend the first couple of hours or so in the bar/restaurant.
Enjoy the party.
Often up to 5 hrs late with out a double header up Denchai brae.

I have been doing further research regarding the impact on health, in particular of high concentrations of PM<2.5 fine particulate matter which makes up the bulk of Chiang Mai seasonal haze.
Interested in your comment concerning the <2.5 micron particles.
Do you have a distribution function showing particle size vs number
density ?
All I have seen quoted in the many previous posts is an integrated mass
density with an upper limit of 10 microns.

Never seen McAllen Eleganzia.
Is this from the well known Macallan distillery ?
{ The Macallan Scotch Whisky Distillery
The Macallan Distillery, Craigellachie, Banffshire AB38 9RX. }
How does it compare with the 10 or 12 year old Macallan

Loch Lomond is indeed a malt from Loch Lomond.
Its not a whisky to be taken dry.
Taken wet its OK.
Not long back the D/F shop had some Islay whiskies:-
Caol Islay and Lagavulin.
Both can be taken dry and are a rand dram

I use McCormick.
Never had any complaints.
Many of the consultants have positions at
both Suan Doc and McCormick.
If the pharmacy is unable to supply a certain
medication then the consultant will give you a
chit to use the Suan Doc pharmacy.

I would agree with Blinky Bill as he says in posts No16
‘………but in my opinion there are too many softcock new-era low budget retirees/expats in Thailand these days ready to run at the slightest sign of civil disturbance. ‘
and as UG says in post No 18
‘I was in Bangkok in 92 during the May unrest when thousands were killed. This ain't nothing! ‘
I was there also and it was very violent with many killed.

Find it hard to understand the negative comments regarding the Mad Dog.
Been going there while it was the Overlander and never had any problems then
or now.
Staff have always been friendly
