  1. Ok I went for the Intex above ground pool. Really impressed much better than I expected. Had it a couple of months now and use it daily. It's just great for cooling down. Maintenance is minimal, I had to change the supplied cartridge filter pump to a sand pump. Very happy.DSC_0102.thumb.JPG.4aa5b0a3b692ef25d2876a1809e44409.JPG

  2. Hey thanks, at the moment I use it everyday. My thought too I may put a bigger in-ground pool in when I have learnt all the pros & cons 1st hand. Did you upgrade to a sand filter or stay with the cartridge system ?. The sand filter seems to almost pay for its self in a couple of years, compared to the cost of replacement cartridges.

  3. I am thinking of building a 6x3x1 meter swimming pool. I will work with our local builder as we have worked together for years and he is really good, just lack finishing touches, that’s where I come in. So I know nothing about building a pool. Have any of you made your own pool with bricks, cement and tiles. Another thing is I have unlimited amount of pumped Mekong water available. I know it would have to be filtered in some way. It would be a shame not to make use of it in some way.
  4. The reason I am looking for it on-line is because I am in That Phanom, very much non tourist area. When I am in Krabi there is a shop in Krabi town that sells it 70 Baht a bottle. Unfortunately this year we did not travel to Krabi. Roses at Lazada ( out of stock ) at 380 Baht a bottle is priced a bit over the top.

Yes that was what I was thinking of buying, but need to transform in a cordial. Looking on the web, it seems cordial has a lot of sugar and more water. I wondered if anybody has tried before, and if so how much sugar and water to add.

  6. I can't find lime cordial anywhere on-line. Has anyone tried to make lime cordial from a bottle of lime juice. It looks like you just need to add sugar and water. It would be nice to have a shot of lime cordial in a beer occasionally.

  7. It looks like I will be here for about a year. I have Pacific Cross travel insurance that expires in a couple of weeks. As I am just about to turn 66 Pacific Cross will not give me health insurance without a medical. I have no intention to travel to a hospital for a medical and blood tests they asked for, as I consider hospitals to be high risk places for COVID 19. Can any one give me an option ?. I only need major in-hospital cover, all minor problems I can cover myself. If I was to self insure would 2 million Baht be enough ?.
