Ok great It's the wife's family home. I will have to pop along and see what they need. It's good to know that it can be done.

I did my TM30 here and 90 day report. Is that proof of residence ?.

I made my retirement visa extension in Krabi. Will not be travelling to Krabi at this time. Will I be able to renew this extension in another province. I am registered there and did my last 90 day report there.

A cheap mask is a good idea just to remind you not to touch your face.

I needed to change my country address with NatWest. Could only be done at my branch. I just sent them a letter via post, and all was fine.

Thanks, looks like a trip to the local office then.

How long before the due date can I go to the immigration office.

No it's the same passport I entered on 05/11/19. This is my 1st retirement extension, and 1st 90 day report.
-
I tried on-line and got this message '' For further information regarding The 90-day Notification Report Service, please contact the Immigration Branch Office in your residence area.''

OK I went today to get my 1st extension for retirement. It could not have been easier, the staff were so helpful, truly excellent. I have been going there for a few years for visit wife extension, and have always got on well with the officers they have always been very helpful. I have a 1 year extension plus re-entry. I will leave before the 1st 90 day report is due and will not return until November. At the time that I will need to do a 90 day report I will be many miles away. After speaking the the manager he said I can do my 90 day report in the province where I am when it is due, but not to forget to register that I am there first. He gave my wife his mobile number, and that she should call him if we have a problem. Very happy, very helpful no problems at all.

But you will need to do the first report in person 90 days from the day you apply for the extension.
I assume you got the the contact your local immigration office message when you tried doing the online report. The message basically means your record could not be found in the database it checks that is a record your most recent entry to the country. There are many reasons for it to happen. Best to check the last few pages of the pinned topic for online reporting for more info.
Ok Thanks, yes that was the message. That should be interesting. I will return to Thailand 5th November, 90 days later I will be 18,000 k away from where I took my visa extension, It will be 30 days more before I return to the place that my extension was issued. Will I be able to do my report in another area ?. If not I suppose Thai post will be the only other option !.

Thanks for the information. I will make a try for the retirement extension tomorrow. Another question, Just for a test run I tried the on-line 90 day report. I could not get past the 1st page. When I get my extension do I have to notify them that I want to do on-line reports ?.

Hi can someone tell me if I have to show funds coming in from outside Thailand when I do my first retirement extension based on money in the bank.

You were fined for late reporting not oversaying. The fines are not the same. The standard fine for late reporting is 2,000 baht and the maximum is 5,000 baht. Overstaying is 500 baht a day up to a maximum of 20,000 baht.
Hi Urbonjoe, I will try for my 1st retirement extension later in the year using the 800,000 Baht route. The money has been in the bank for almost 10 years. Will I need to prove this money came from abroad, or is that only needed when using the monthly income route.

Well mate i asked for 13 weeks thinking it would save me money on the transfer costs, only having 4 a year.
Does it save money ?. I ask because I will have to make this decision in a few months.

I get my UK pension paid directly into my Krung Thai account every 13 weeks, have done now for nearly 5 years, never had any problems.
Is there a cost benefit having the pension paid every 13 weeks as opposed to every 4 weeks ?.
-
Ok that sounds good, so I can not be arrested for not reporting. Technically I have given the info they require from me.
-
If I fill out the full address where I am staying i.e. wife's family home on the arrival card. Do I have to report again within 48 hours ?.
